Anyone saying 10/10 is ridiculous. That would be like Russia level of corrupt where the people at the top are all billionaires and they've skimmed so much money from the people that it's no longer even skimming, it's literally just leaving the crumbs.
People complain about our military industrial complex, and justifiably. Now look at Russia's, where a shit load is supposedly "spent" on the military and the results are cans of "food" that are 100% water and "bulletproof vests" with nothing but cardboard inside.
If you think the U.S. corruption is even on the same plane of existence as Russia's you're fucking crazy.

If there's no corruption among Dems then why still enforce term limits? If people want to keep voting in the same person, that's democracy.

Not that term limits do anything to solve the revolving door of corrupt candidates that all have the exact same agenda because they have the same donors.

Term limits can often be counter-productive; you get politicians who have one eye on their future in the private sector, or (and this happens a lot in Ohio) who pull legislative stunts for attention because they need a bigger seat to move on to.

A. I didn't say there is no corruption among democrats.
B. I don't think term limits will solve problems that people think but since he said it I went along with it for my solution of no longer having any members of the GOP in politics. That was our compromise.

Eh. People talk about these super corrupt countries in Africa and South America but the only difference between those and the modern GOP is gold plating.

Peel that away and US corruption (and UK, and Australian, etc) is just as ugly, just as nasty, as it is in the developing world. We would be seeing political assassinations, journalists disappearing and military coups if our legal systems were weaker.

Trump has even hinted at those very things if he gets back in. It was always on the table.

When some of them are trying to ban abortion (and eventually same-sex marriage) and abolish democracy while others arent, that isnt the same side.

The closest thing you have to a point is that the GOP and establishment Democrats are both pro-corporate interests. But the progressive Democrats arent.

And I know Im wasting my time. I check account creation date/karma before engaging.
