Welcome to Round 11 of Save my Golden Sun Adept, the Save my where all of the playable characters (and then some) across the Golden Sun series battle until one stands victorious.

• You personally (no bots/scripts/lending of accounts) can save 1 Adept per hour.
• An Adept needs 2 votes to be saved.
• 2 unique users need to save an Adept for that Adept to be saved.
• Ambiguous saves will not count.
• Last Adept unsaved is eliminated.
• No alts, rallies, trades, or editing votes.
• Only _Keeby can start up new topics.
• Community Rule is in effect. Deliberate rules violations will result in bans.

(Sheba is one of three characters first seen in the first game to be upgraded to playable in the second entry.

She is only seen late in the first game. At the climax at Venus Lighthouse, Sheba falls off the tower, and Felix jumps to save her. This leads into the beginning of The Lost Age, where Felix, Jenna, Sheba, and Kraden (and Alex but he leaves without you, per usual) have ended up at a new section of land that was misshaped by a tidal wave.

Sheba has a snarky sense of humor at times. A discussion relatively early on has her tease Jenna, believing she has a crush on Isaac. Jenna gets really upset and denies the idea, but is clearly blushing. It turns out to be true, because as of Dark Dawn, Jenna and Isaac have married and had a son, Matthew.

Unlike Ivan, Shebas past is still mostly a mystery. She supposedly fell from the sky as an infant, but survived unharmed and was adopted by Faran, the mayor of Lalivero.

Sheba shares quite a few similarities with Ivan, from being Wind Adepts that use staffs, to being adopted and having unknown pasts, to even having blond hair and being close in age. Despite this, the two dont have much dialogue together.)

RIP plotline never to be resolved

this is really making me want to replay the series

like i have preferences between the characters, but i hardly remember their personalities or backstory at all

You likely would be. Golden Sun is rather infamous for having tons and tons of dialogue without really progressing the development of plot or characters all that much, if at all. (Although Golden Sun is still considered leagues better than Camelots previous attempt at a turn based RPG, Beyond the Beyond.)

Id say this elimination is a bummer, but I have no clue whod I swap her out with at this point.

still can't tell if this Golden Sun Reloaded romhack is making much difference fun-wise

this game is hilarious, I try to imagine how the TV show version would look with the dialogue and it's perfect

The amount of plot threads in the Golden Sun series that feel unresolved is ridiculous. When I played through the GBA games and then Dark Dawn around when it released, I always felt like I was missing something, but nope. A bunch of stuff just isn't explained, or gets glossed over. The habit of mentioning a sliver of backstory and then never expanding on it is infuriating.

Funnily (or frustratingly) enough, I think Dark Dawn hardly answered any questions people had about the original duology, and instead multiplied the unsolved plot threads, ranging from most of the original playable cast not being seen to even the games cliffhanger ending with the Psynergy vortexes suddenly popping back into the plot last minute after being pretty much forgotten about despite their prominence in the early parts of the game. One wonders if a fourth game would actually explain anything.

Those flaws aside, I do think Golden Sun is really great as a "baby's first RPG" or anyone else who is looking for something much simpler, gameplay-wise, than say Final Fantasy, while still maintaining that good-old JRPG spirit with a great look and feel. Maybe that's why I love it so much. I get easily overwhelmed by complex stuff in many JRPGs, but Golden Sun's gameplay is so straightforward without being too hand-holdy.
