Man, they have seriously found the exact way these games should look. Completely gorgeous game. Love how everything works. They're no longer this clunky animation. They just figured all of this out. I love watching this game in action.

This game feels so fresh.

Fuck me, Johnny Cage is perfect. AMAZING. So many little things that make Johnny pop and shows off his personality.

Him taking videos of his kameo doing long moves is just so great. Just the way he looks when he takes hits rules too. So animated.

Cage is the best, and you can tell the developers really love him too because he gets the most fun/creative fatalities and stuff.

I also don't love Rain with his fancy water staff though. I've always enjoyed how he looked and played in the NetherRealm games a lot.

Maybe I'll come around on it. But I hope they finally do something with him and Edenia again.

The Mortal Kombat rule for characters like Rain is be glad he's in the base game so he'll get some plot.

Heck, I'm happy to see Frost (I am the one Frost fan) even as a Kameo.

Rain has spoiled two characters, General SHAO and Empress Sindel.

But Rain is Outworld's High Mage, and had incredible power for water manipulation and channeled it into his weapon. I guess he still has a chance to be a demi-god, but I'm a bit disappointed he doesn't seem to be an uncrowned prince anymore.

Smoke is the adopted brother of Sub-Zero and Scorpion that the Lin Kuei Grandmaster raised, which further confirms Kuai Liang as Scorpion. Smoke doesn't seem to have a ton of magic abilities though, but he appears to have learned some? Would be interesting for them to do something with the demon storyline with him.

I'm feeling more optimistic for the story for this game than usual.

The unofficial leak seems extremely real as it seems like everything keeps lining up with what they have in it. And I kinda love the leak roster, so I'm excited!

Everyone figured out who is being revealed at SDCC thanks to Ed Boon teases! A 3D era kharacter! And one I think still has loads of potential too!

dont have any experience with the other two guests so whatever. Im used to not caring about the guests.

Li Mei got a huge glow up. She looks amazing now and her moves are so cool.

Tanya is a serious downgrade. I miss her more Arabian look in MKX. I also don't find her new fighting style terribly interesting?

Baraka is still Baraka, but he looks so damn cool now. Massively upgraded his moves to be so flashy.

Kombat Pack looks fun. Quan Chi is Quan Chi still. For some reason Ermac's outfit was so ass that I didn't even realize it was him until I looked. Guest characters look great though.

yeah I liked Tanyas old look, not thrilled about the redesign. I guess they wanted to make her more clearly a black woman rather than like.,, Egyptian or something.

mostly I just dont like that she has normal human eyes now

li mei was always really boring to me, Im liking her more already based on the trailer

baraka is fine. Hes a staple of the series, I dont mind him, but Ive never been excited about him either.

This it the first time I've ever really be interested in Baraka; I like the fact that his condition appears to be a disease rather than simply him being born as a mutant. He's always been so flat in the story department, but now there's so much potential with him.

rain and baraka both were leaked beforehand. Theres maybe two slots that arent confirmed yet, but otherwise the full roster is leaked at this point and matches up with everything revealed, including the story clip they showed but havent officially released which features Reiko and Motaro

There's another leak that had both of them on it that you may have missed! That's the one that's been on point with everything.

The only thing that was off so far was Quan Chi and Ermac listed on the roster, but that's not even technically wrong because they were likely in development too.

The prevailing, but unconfirmed, theory is that Ermac and Quan Chi got swapped out at some point in development for Sonya and Kano, but thats definitely not confirmed

Well, they had an extra video of a cutscene at the SDCC panel that someone leaked that revealed...

Reiko is playable, as Li Mei was about to enter a fight with him before it cut off. Motaro is there killing folks something fierce, but it's likely he's just a Kameo. And both of those line up with the leak too!

Lol Ed Boon just replying to tweets about the SDCC leak and joking around. Reiko konfirmed playable, and Motaro also in the story mode and probably as a Kameo.

I like Tremor too! But Geras has loads of potential and I love this spot for him.

Tremor was great in X. Other than all his voice lines being completely unintelligible.

i didnt really like playing as Geras in 11, but thought he was pretty cool. Im onboard with him coming back.

I like that they brought him back as well, but literally the first comment I saw when I clicked that link was something to the effect of "no one likes geras, jax, jacqui or tanya stop putting them in". So, yeah.
