I saw someone on Gamespot upset that "they made Tanya black."

Well, looks like Geras had two different gear pieces on his outfits in the trailer, so we are probably looking at some sort of gear system again.

Hopefully it's better than the one in MK11! I want better kustomization!

Awful designs of the characters has a large part to do with it, and I'm not down with some of the character changes so far tbh. I get that it's a reboot etc and I'm the first to say characters get stale, but I'm just not down with a lot of them.

Also roster choices like Geras. Literally noone wanted Geras back.

I also think Geras coming back is good.. Dude is conceptually cool enough that he deserved another chance even if I didnt love playing as him in the last game.

Holy fuck Reptile is so awesome. I love it. Mixing his human form with a giant ugly ass lizard.

Havik looks so god damn fun. All of his batshit moves are here and he's just beating the shit out of people with his god damn arm.

And Ashrah looks fine I guess. I miss her silly hat.

Very cool new take on Reptile, I appreciate that he may finally have a more active role in a story

Ashrah dont love the way they demoned up her face, but her gameplay looked cool as hell.

I cheered when havik appeared to rip is own arm off to use it as a club. That sort of thing is all I wanted out of him.

Oh, Quan Chi was apparently barely invisible in the trailer too, so he's in the story in some way too.

But his ass is kicked in it.

Reptile looked pretty good in the trailer.
His Fatality was awesome. I didnt want them going down the 2021 route with his lizard form....but they did and it looks OK. Maybe a bit too bulky. Interesting that he's seemingly alligned with Liu's lot.

Given how they've taken inspiration for his lizard form from the movie......I don't hold out much hope for Nitara. Fatality-fodder jobber incoming.

Ashrah was very meh. But then she always was.
I don't like the angel wings particularly but if theyre only there in fatality then I can live with jt Also, wheres her trademark hat??? That's like Raiden or Lao not having it. Demonic face is fine.

Havik.....what a disappointment. Jobber vibe. Too pretty-boi and not demonic/deformed/ugly/chaotic enough IMO. His costume is very bland.

It was a travesty Reptile missed MK11 so I'm happy he's base roster in the new game.

But that's why I wanted it to be there! I imagine it'll be some kind of gear option.

The running idea is that Nitara will be in and will be the dark angel to Ashrah's light angel, which I think works out better than vampire lady. Gives both of them some needed depth.

Hope we get more out of Havik than just a jobber fella. I was sort of surprise they gave him no storyline focus in the trailer. But supposedly according to the extremely accurate leaks... He's supposed to be someone we already know that shifts during the story to this Havik. So it seems like they have SOME plan for him.

Reptile as a good boi was surprising. I would never have guessed that they would make him on the side of good, but maybe Liu Kang was like "Okay we're super sorry for making you ultra jobber, so you get to be a good fella this time around. Also, I don't remember if you're supposed to be a lizard or a human so... I dunno, you can be both."

Looks like Orderrealm exists, but Chaosrealm does not. Havik is fighting against Orderrealm as one of its citizens and wants to bring about change to make it chaos. So basically, he's got Darius and Dairou's story now, except with more CHAOS.

Yeah, and his human form is really attractive too.

Kombat Kast has been meh so far. They showed off how they create stages though, which was cool. Very interesting process.

But they're talking about the finals of MK11 like it was this epic instead of the boring one sided match it was. Lol

Smoke now though.

Smoke is extremely mix up heavy. A lot of dashes and teleports. Should be interesting to play. But man, I just see them talk about Kameos and it seems like they just make this game completely busted. Maybe in a good way? We'll have to see.

But Smoke seems cool. Should be able to do some crazy things though.

Ashrah next.

Ashrah looks so obnoxious. She has dash moves, a projectile that goes to the ceiling that can be spammed, and a few big combo extenders.

It seems like a bit too much honestly. Might be different in practice though.

Geras is a rushdown grappler, but he has a ton of options and he looks so damn cool now. Basically, it's difficult to really lock him down from what it looks like. Struggles at far range though.

But like everything, you get a good Kameo and that can make up for his shortcomings. It's pretty much not really giving anyone actual weaknesses.

But if these leaks are true then they have exceeded even the lowest depths of what I expected for the writing in this game.

Shujinko copies the opponent's moves. He does Sindel's flip kick and then mimicks Shao Kahn's overhead axe slam move.
