Damn the OTA came straight for my decks.

Doom is by far the most winner of cubes in my decks. I wouldn't say he's OP because he's still 6 cost, but the versatility is insanely good. Klaw wins me games for the same reason. Maybe now he'll be less popular so people will expect him less and he'll get stronger? But 4 vs 5 power is a big deal because usually 5 can beat a neglected lane (2 1-cost or 1 2-cost is usually 4 power).

Also Red Skull is cool with Shuri and Sauron but I loved him as a naked 5/9 or even 5/8. Now he can be as low as 5/6. But I suppose the +2 puts way more opponents into Shang territory.

Spider-Ham 14th already damn how many people spend money on this. Also High Evo changes definitely coming eventually for at least Wasp and Hulk. Wonder what the stats for Misty Knight, Shocker, Abomination, Thing and Cyclops are.

Wasp should -1 2 cards on both sides including herself

You get like 5000 tokens a month when you're series 3 complete and Spider-Ham was only 3000. Also this was a 64 person tournament that the guy is using for stats so it's the sweatiest sweats.

Something I never ever knew until today:

Sauron removes ALL abilities from cards with Ongoing abilities, not just the Ongoing ones

He enables Ebony Maw to be played any turn, and removes Electros On Reveal. That seems like an oversight

Nope it's very much part of Sauron's balance

Not sure how many multi effect cards there are like that

Yeah that's working as intended with him. Similarly, it makes Electro dead so you don't get full-upside with him.

Bots seem like they're snapping a lot less and retreating a lot more lately. Down 2 lanes on turn 6 and they're still doing a "Retreat Later".

Or they wait to retreat until they know if they can win or not.

Every match on the PROVING GROUND Ive played lately has been against meta decks who force every round to be played.

This sucks.

New Cache Type: Spotlight Caches designed to give new cards to players

Basically sit on collector reserves until these come into the game, unopened ones will count towards the every 10 for a spotlight cache, UNLESS you want gold or tokens

edit: the FAQ at the bottom confirms saved ones will change so keep those reserves closed

Time to stock up just in case

The catch is theres no more Gold in caches and Tokens gained are drastically reduced. Saving up for a card you want thats not in that weeks offerings will take far longer.

And now cards will only drop to Series 3 if they stink. <_<

90% drop in tokens and 0 gold through normal progression... not sure it's really gonna feel better to progress here. Definitely better for S3 complete people. And the cards you get will be more relevant to the meta I suppose.

But I'm still missing like Lockjaw and Maria Hill

No more gold in caches is seriously annoying. I liked saving up gold to buy a variant in the shop every now and then.

You do still get gold from every 5 daily missions cleared. I forget if the free track of season pass gives any or if they are only paid rewards. And you can get a bit from Conquest now too. It is still less than before though

Free track does give 300 Gold plus whatever you might get from Season Caches after 50

First cache open since this announcement gets me 200 Gold. Take that hoarders

Whats the average for finishing Pool 3? Im at CL3,500 and even with the monthly freebie Im still missing at least 12 cards from pool 3

well, as time passes and more cards get added that number increases. I know I was done around 3200, before the free monthly card but after token shop

Just had one of my favorite victories. My opponent and I had four cards on a stormed lane that I was safely winning with a Jeff I already played. My opponent played Spider-Man on turn 5 on a lane I was losing, but I luckily had initiative. The final location I could play was Space Throne.

I played Negasonic Teenage Warhead and safely slid Jeff over. They played a high-powered HE Hulk. NTW and Hulk exploded, leaving Jeff to safely win the lane alone.

Can Jeff be played into space throne with another card already there?

That's awesome. Jeff is the best. Only token shop purchase I've really felt I got my tokens worth out of so far.

Negasonic is on my shortlist but I think she gets dropped to 3 soon so I've been holding off

Yes, but the order matters. If you play Jeff first, he takes up the space and the second card can't be played. The tricky part about this situation is that I could not directly play him on it after NTW, as he would have triggered NTW himself. So this only worked because I already had Jeff on another location.

Jeff is sooo fun. Only thing I haven't tried is whether you can play Jeff as your 2nd card after Sandman is played.

You can. Same thing about order mattering

yea jeff doesnt care about electro or sandman's restriction

As far as I know it does stop Jeff from moving from there or Vision from moving again if you move them there.

Did you try to actually play cards with Electro? I dont use him much but I thought his ongoing effect's vfx persists even after he's destroyed or whatever, making it look like it was still happening even if it wasn't

That could be the case. I might have just gotten swerved by the VFX

Playing Gold Conquest with the free tickets they gave us, I really see why the Lockjaw/High Evo deck is problematic

Wave > Galactus > Spider-Man > America Chavez

Very cool combo. Please gut the fuck out of Galactus so I don't have to put up with this again in Conquest for multiple matches.

Is that the first time you've dealt with that combo? It's been the go to Galactus combo forever lol.

Nope, but having to face it multiple times in Conquest is a terrible, frustrating experience! Every so often doesn't bug me as much, but Conquest multiplies the frustration of it all.

Yeah, that's the problem. He leaves two lanes open so it's a 50/50 guess. I was playing a deck that didn't have much control too to get my dailies done. I tried to load up the other two lanes though, but I can't do much still. I got us both down to sudden death though, so I was close. It's just not a fun match up at all.

Yeah I haven't encountered a new Galactus player who plays it correctly like that. Most are still just leaving one lane open. It sounds fun to play against conceptually.
