Was trying to burn through my remaining conquest tickets for the medals so I was just snapping turn 1 every game. Had a guy retreat as soon as I snapped five times in a row, at which point I just had to snap and beat him one time which I did instantly. Why not just concede at that point lol

yeah glad they made it nice and easy to not worry about conquest other than trying to get the two mystery variants

they also seemed to double the price of pretty much everything that was in the shop last time

Those medal increases are ridiculous.

So theoretically if you're close to S3 complete, it's still advantageous to get the 1k token mystery purchase to get to S3 complete so you can start getting 4x more tokens from crates right?

They arent even consistent with the medals either. Look at this shit

Week 1 250 credits - 800 medals
Week 3 250 credits - 900 medals
Week 4 250 credits - 1,000 medals

Why is the same amount of credits 3 different prices? Thats just plain ignoring 250 credits for that amount of medals is a slap in the face altogether.

Because you can only buy each one once so scarcity makes it more valuable

They also increased the medal payout for anything above Proving Grounds so between that and the extra time we have this month (we only had three weeks last month since it was added mid-season, and this month is a five-week season) it's definitely not worth getting mad about

Well if the medal payout is increased thats nice at least. If it all stayed the same that wouldve made the grind a lot more tedious

Also OOF somebody saved up a bunch of conquest stuff to see what theyd get.

670 medals, 38 Silver tickets, 4 Gold tickets and 1 Infinity ticket. Know what he got? 290 Mr Sinister boosters. Its all converted into boosters for 1 character apparently, but hey hes set for the new Mr Sinister variant I guess

where do you see that? im looking at the conquests in game now and theyre definitely the same payouts as last time

They started lower last time and they adjusted the payout to the current levels mid-season

ah I see. I just played proving grounds last season until they updated without knowing I guess

Apparently using Phoenix Force on Titania fucks up your game and can lock you out of matches for 30 minutes

What is it with people being so BM in proving grounds

Im getting so bummed out, its straight up not fun playing Thanos + High Evolutionary decks, and I just had it happen twice in a row on Conquest.

Honestly I haven't been running into many HE decks lately. Maybe too many people experimenting with Phoenix Force.

That deck does seem decent though

Thought I had a cool play with Negasonic on Bar Sinister, but uh all 4 of her blow up while the enemy only has their first card played there blow up and none of the copies. That feels like a terrible thing if its intentional.

Why would it blow up the opponents copies? They werent played. Negasonic blows up the next card played, not next card added. By now you should know what qualifies as a played card and what doesnt. Only a card placed manually by the player from hand to location is considered played (with the sole exception of Mysterios illusions, which also count as played, because otherwise it would be obvious which was real in many circumstances)

All 4 Negasonic blowing up is also exactly what I would expect. The next card played is the next card played, regardless of how many Negasonics are present.

Same logic for why multiple marvels won't work together. If one wouldn't move, none will move, even if two moving would win the game.

I thought worse case scenario if it didnt work out it would just be a 1:1 trade. All 4 blowing up from 1 card is just ouch other than lowering the cost of Death, but otherwise now I know to pretty much never play her there

My Conquest mystery Variant was Dan Hipp Collector. Ill take it.

Alright, I'm fed up with these Spider-Ham bounce decks. Nerf Spider-Ham into the ground. He's entirely too good right now.

At the very least I imagine a nerf for Spider-Ham is coming where he can only Pig a single card

He could pig a card and himself. Then he has some nice Patriot synergy. Also he would still see play as 1/0

at the very least it shouldnt show what card he porks

like come on, Ice Man is a perfect balance where he can screw you over but at least your opponent doesnt know how much youre screwed, why on earth does spider ham get that info

Iceman is more the odd one out there considering all the others where you are shown what is destroyed or discarded

I use Mystique in my Master Mold/Ronan deck but yeah that's an interesting idea.

I actually just swapped in Mystique for Taskmaster because of her lower cost to let me possibly play another card with her on T6. I think I prefer it.

Just to make sure you don't have zabu right? Being able to darkhawk + rock slide or mystique on turn 6 can make a pretty big difference in a lot of matches

I thought about that but the idea of counting on pulling Zabu to benefit two cards in my deck feels like it would be way too inconsistent. Are there other 4 cards that would work well? Maybe wong, absorbing man

They said theyd reveal who the spotlight cache are at the beginning of the season, but theyve still revealed nothing. Got a feeling its just going to be an immediate when the patch comes instead of anyone knowing ahead of time

Hmm dont think I really care about the first wave of the spotlight cache. I dont think Id really use Living Tribunal or Jean if I got them and Knull would just be my first variant of him. Debating if I should just open my reserves before the update

I think hes the 2nd best current Series 4 card after Zabu

I dont really think it would be an exaggeration to say the top 3 cards most worth your tokens now are some order of Jeff, Spider-Ham and High Evo
