I had MZero as a town lean early. I have MZero as pretty solidly town now. I don't believe I've ever seen MZero bus this forcefully, and I'm getting shades of how I felt in BFZ from him. I spent like 6 days of that game wanting to lynch Ulti off of a ridiculous fakeclaim that explained nothing but could never get anyone to join me.

Your role basically is all information already out in the game, besides the caveat it requires you knowing a couple roles not claimed at that point. Whether teammates or scans involved. And it's not dangerous going forward since we are probably at mylo.

And frankly I have had an issue with you ever since Lea flipped town because despite how it might seem most of the time (because your pedantry annoys me to absolutely no end), I do have a great deal of respect for your town sensibilities and I feel that most of the time it's worth giving you a gun on day 1 and letting you shoot somebody because if you're town it's usually gonna be right. It's why I was open to totally sheeping you Day 2 and letting you just take a shot because when you're town you're seemingly always right. Like in Yugioh mafia when you literally called our entire scum team on day 1/2. and well, in a game when you can't even get your top read right, i start to get worried. and now you're off on a wild goose chase on me and i just don't think I believe that a town corrik (who is actually paying attention for once!) ever gets it this wrong this far into the game.

Chang, explain your role again. You said Passively you are told how many people visit you. But you can choose to use an ability once per game thst tells you Who one of those people are.

When do you get told how many people?

When do you make the decision to use the ability?

Is it a night action you have to use BEFORE you find out how many people came to you? Is it purely coincidence you chose to use it the same night Chris gave you a fish?

At the end of each night phase, Kirby sends me a message with how many people visited me. I have to make the decision to use the ability during that night, before I find out how many people came to me.

I used it Night 2 not knowing whether Chris would come or not (after having asked for a fish), but fully knowing that that would be the highest probability anyone would visit me all game. I am not a player that typically has stuff happening to me at night unless I start dropping hints that I have much more powerful abilities than I do. I briefly considered doing some bait stuff like that (like doing the shtick i came in with on my first post and claiming i could empower someone to become the hero of time) but ultimately decided it probably wasn't going to amount to much when people are running around with actual good powers that they started claiming as early as day 2.

although I did technically claim Princess in my first post but that's too easily dismissed as a joke i feel

So I looked back at the end of day 1 for Chang because it's become apparent I didn't quite remember when he voted, and this progression bugs me a lot.

The post after this is the post before I voted for Joyrock. While I'm voting Joyrock, Chang is saying he would prefer Joyrock but finds Marth "acceptable". Almost immediately after Peaf and Joyrock move their votes to make it 6-3, he votes for Joyrock.

Before this he was sitting on Peaf, a useless splinter, whose only other vote all day was the aforementioned Marth. He makes zero effort to push a Joyrock lynch until Marth is safely in the lead, and just lays the foundation for him to switch if he has to.

It's not any more designed to eat scum powers than any other french vanilla + role, no? Anyone with a fairly weak role could bait scum at any time like that because it really doesn't matter if they die. Problem is it could be just as likely that i would bait town protection (like lea, perhaps) to visit me instead. and her role was high prio so i might well have learned her name before any scum powers who came.

After Day 2 I wanted to take the only possible opportunity I was ever going to get anything useful out of it. Literally nobody else has visited me the entire game! And from prior experience I have it on pretty good authority that nobody else probably ever will!

I don't really subscribe to the defeatist attitude that your ability would never serve a purpose. Up until today i'd say you were still sitting squarely in town for most of the game, certainly for me (but now everyone is up for grabs), with your joyrock voting day 1. You are still alive and didn't claim till day 4 so there was still plenty of opportunity for you to eat some type of scan from scum and be able to catch them.

and i mean sure but what are the odds that i'm able to predict the exact night they scan me beforehand? so i'm maybe going to receive 1 or 2 night actions at absolute most over the course of 5 nights or whatever, that's not good odds
