Ulti claimed to send out a high priority beetle, and got a result that scum did not use a high priority item, and instead got back a special priority flag item that works the same way as Cody's Backup.

We jumped on him because of the contradiction that i/Plum was roleblockee, so he should have got that as an answer, but SBell has now claimed to roleblock me, so that contradiction is sorted out.

So to me, it seems like
IF Town Ulti, THEN Scum Cody and Town SBell.
IF Scum Ulti, THEN Town Cody and Scum SBell.

I feel like we're in some Twilight Zone cycle where Ulti shows up every once in a while to change his claim, and then just backs away and cackles at us from the shadows. Ulti still hasn't removed his vote from Cody long after it's been pointed out his claim and his vote make no sense together, which is exactly what he did yesterday with Lea. MZero vibing with me on how obviously he needs to die vibes pretty well with me. It's taking up way too much of our bandwidth.

Anyways I'm a 1-use nerfed protection role that hasn't acted yet so Sheep and his completely nondescript "protection" claim can probably die next after Ulti.

I haven't seen anything remotely constituting an obvious time to use it, but if you want I'll go into more detail.

Anyway Corrik still needs to claim I think?

SBell is opposite alignment of Ulti because scum Ulti wouldn't have claimed what he did if his team roleblocked me.

For the record, I am currently leaning toward Scum SBell, as I think having Jack role where "Oops the assist trophy chooses my action for me so I can't tell you what I'm doing the night before" is SUPER convenient for a scum team that chooses from different items every day. So by extension, I also am back to thinking Cody is scum because of Ulti's claim. Someone would have to explain why town AND scum has access to a back-up power for Cody to be town.

With Crescent claiming protection, that makes the Red/Sheep + Ulti scum pair more likely.

Linking Ulti to SBell on this doesn't work. There's two obvious scenarios here if you're town.

If scum didn't roleblock you, Ulti would obviously know this and not claim it. He would wait for the person who did roleblock you to claim it.

If scum did roleblock you and Ulti decided not to claim it to set up SBell to claim it.

Either way Ulti's scumflip doesn't really shine a lot of light on SBell.

Is your scenario there that Ulti is intentionally suiciding with his claim to set up SBell so that's why they could be scum together?

I mean sure it's possible, but that's a crazy way to set up a bus. I would relegate that to "only consider the possibility at endgame" type of behavior. But I'm also bad at this game, so who knows.

His argument for lynching Cody is based on saying Cody used this special item on night 2, but it's invalidated by his own claim. He's back to having Chris as scum. It's invalidated by his own claim. His argument for lynching Lea on day 3 was similarly invalidated by his own claim. It's all a lot of smoke and mirrors and none of it adds up.

We know Cody tracked Lea because he correctly identified that she targeted me, which she admitted. Yet he claimed no such back up action on N2

Okay, I think I follow you now. It's not that Cody would have had to use Back-up multiple times, but he would have at LEAST needed to use a tracking action N2 to accurately see Lea. And because of how Ulti claimed, that contradicts himself.

I did not connect the dots between Cody's previously claimed action and was only looking at the info for N3.

I also think I see now why I messed up my If/then chart. If Ulti Town, then Sbell is Town, otherwise Ulti would have seen the scum roleblock. If Ulti is scum, then either Town Sbell roleblocked me and Ulti didn't know, which is why he claimed the way he did, or Scum Sbell claims the roleblock now to protect Ulti because he messed up.

So I have roller coastered myself all the way back to "the only way SBell is scum is if Ulti is also scum, but it's more likely he's town."

I think we've all learned a valuable lesson today that Dumey should not morning phone-post.
