I wanna do Cerebro 8 with Aero and Sentry

a few days ago a streamer I was watching (Dekkster) was doing Cerebro 10-0 speedruns, basically trying to win a game with a cerebro deck at each of those values. Was pretty funny

I finally got Luke Cage, so I was able to put together the Hazmat deck I've been wanting to play for a while.

My favorite play was Hazmat on Bar Sinister, followed by Absorbing Man when my opponent had 8 cards in play, leading to a total power swing of 51 on the final turn.

Why am I seeing so much Polaris?

Polaris is just a really good card. High stats and an easy way to clog up an opponent's lane with weaker cards.

Also, I think there's some extra use in the Shuri-meta. Unexpectedly dragging Armor to a different location can leave Red Skull exposed (if they don't pull both Armor and Cosmo).

Bought Darkhawk with my 3k tokens. Zero interest in Shuri.

Toyed with the idea of waiting for Kang because of shenanigans but I'll wait on him for now. No interest in Galactus or Thanos and I'm not spending 6k on a card that will drop. I guess I could potentially save for High Evolutionary now. May have 6k by the time he's released

Only time I saw Polaris was when I randomly used her

Should point out that based on how the schedule has worked so far, the next Series 4 to 3 drop should be Shuri, Black Panther, Bast, Valkyrie, Super Skrull sometime next month

Weird part is those back to back 4 cube losses were basically identical situation. Spiderman into my lane with me up 9 in the only playable lane and me gambling on them retreating and not having enough to beat it. Both times they did. Obviously should have done a retreat later instead of being greedy

Third 4 cube loss was a similar situation. I was throwing down something in a lane where they would need 12 to beat it. They had Hulk.

Oh and 2 of the 4 cube losses involved them getting a 6 energy card (Magneto and She-Hulk) off x mansion whilst I got I want to say Thor and something bad. Oh it was Angel.

I think Ive reached a point where I dont care much about wins or losses. Im just playing stuff I find to be fun and man is it fun using Jubilee and Absoring Man so long as that icy dick doesnt make one of them a 5 cost on me

Followed that up with

Yeah I'm kinda in the middle of a bracket and don't think I'll get to the next worthwhile rank reward (which I feel is 90) so I'm not too fussed about wins/losses now. I dropped from 74.5 when to 72.3 over that stretch. Just sticks out when you go on a big cube loss spree because it's rarer to go on a huge cube win spree

Then like 4 cube losses like this where it's a tossup and I simply played the cards the wrong way around (She-Hulk, Death, Death was my T6). I thought he would drop it on to the side with the weaker lead although I guess I should have anticipated him avoiding the ongoing lane in case of DD

This is why I won with Hulk so often. People say he's bad but when you need 12 power, what's your alternative? Magneto is too situational and Death is too telegraphed. No one ever believes you're actually running Hulk.

Just played someone twice in a row and it was a little silly.

First game I took a risk and played Valkyrie with priority into a lane with 3 units and lost because he played a card there.

Second game he drops a doubled Red Skull on turn 5 and I have priority going into turn 6. So I Valkyrie his Red Skull on turn 6 which causes his Taskmaster in another lane to be 3 power as well.

He knew I had Valkyrie because I just played him and he knew I had priority. Typical braindead Shuri enjoyer I guess!

I actually won a game despite having a terrible play. I played Jubilee who pulled out a card and then I played Absorbing Man, but I was only half paying attention and it was a card given to me at random by a location so that Absorbing Man copied Jubilee and pulled my own Absorbing Man out of my deck lol

And I grabbed the pass mostly for the Wolverine and Nimrod. My variants were Nova (has no name, but has a planet behind him), Dinoswarm & Alex Horley Morbius so nobody I care about really. From Reserves I got Steampunk Bishop and I got Viper so thats cool

I feel like some of the cards need more counters than what little is available. Hazmat is cheap as fuck on Kamar or anywhere you can use Wong and literally all you can do to stop that is like Cosmo or having Luke :/

Sports Yondu was my free mystery variant from hitting lv47 on the pass. Ive got a couple sports variants now and pixels, but not too many otherwise.

People are so bad at knowing when to snap. You should've snapped before you played Leech/Sandman/Shang-Chi/whatever, not the turn after

People who snap turn 6 are the worst for that sort of thing. Like a lot of times I'll play it out and give away the 2 cubes just to see. But if they're going to be greedy and snap then fuck that, I'm out.

Played the same guy in back to back games and in both games he cheated out super early Leech off Jubilee with Elysium in play.

Leech being cheated out is so much bullshit.

Turn 6 Rogue blind play stole his Turn 6 Knull, felt so good.

I just beat the same Galactus player 2 times in a row with Valkyrie.

The games were almost identical and I dropped Valk on turn 6 without priority to win both.

Do people not look at names or something or do people forget the last game immediately?

I almost left the 2nd game because surely he knew I was going to Valk and I thought he might Knull or something. But nope he just played big cards that got reduced.

Eh most of them were going to be my loss because of what cards I have left. If somebody has two lanes with +15 gaps on me Im not swinging those back so snapping turn 5/6 there is just why level since nobody is gonna finish it out

I wont say that bluffs dont happen, but this is very rarely the case. Those late snaps are so often somebody who has already achieved their win and doesnt know how to snap

Yeah it's rare but the point is still, you don't really know how bad their hand is. You're giving them a guaranteed 1 cube instead of a chance at 2. If you calculate out the equity % it's prob closer to 1.5 cube profit when they snap against you and you insta retreat. That is equivalent to a 75% confidence in winning 2 cubes, which is pretty fair.

If you include the case that you continue after they snap, because you're bored or whatever, then it's even more profitable. They'll win 4 cubes with a confidence of 75%, which is 3 cubes expected profit. So if you average that situation with the 1.5 cube profit situation, you can definitely get to a 2 cube expected profit overall with that kind of snap.

The key thing in this game is there is very rarely a royal flush type hand, so there's always value to getting a guaranteed win vs playing to the end.

This also means that you really should not retreat if there's even a 25% chance you'll win. I've won lots of times continuing when I knew they had the winning card in their deck and just gambled that they didn't draw.
