Yes but I had to make the read on the play Turn 5 before Hobgoblin was there due to Infininaut needing a dead turn.

Turn 5 was basically just me nodding and saying "yes it is all going as I have foreseen it"

I mean some Galactus decks run M'Baku so it was a non-zero chance for him to lose there. Maybe he didn't want to take the risk when his options are tie, lose 1 cube, or lose 4 cubes.

What happens if you play Mysterio on Luke's Bar? I assume if you play the real one there he bounces back and illusions stay? And if you play the real one elsewhere then the illusion stays on the bar?

I don't have Mysterio but situation came up as I got him from Agent 13. But I didn't chance playing him even though he was cost reduced from quinjet as one of the locations prevented play on 3/4/5 so I figured whatever I did would telegraph where he really was

Mysterio illusions are "played" which is why they buff Bishop and why they die on Death's Domain but squirrels from Squirrel Girl don't.

It has to work this way otherwise it would be obvious which one is the real illusion.

Playing the real Mysterio on Luke's Bar puts an illusion back into your hand with 0 power.

If Mysterio returns to your hand he becomes a 2/0 illusion card named Mysterio? that won't make illusions when you play it and won't reveal as real or fake at the end of the game. This is true whether it's Luke's Bar, Cloning Vats, Beast, or whatever and it doesn't matter which one returns to your hand, real or fake.

I believe the only way you can get multiple real Mysterios is if you play the real deal on Sinister London or Bar Sinister.

Ah, if I had actually played him then I'd have figured that out then since the other actual playable location was cloning vats. So I guess I would have ended up with 2 illusions back in my hand

How does Mysterio react on Sinister London? Does it play another real but hidden Mysterio somewhere else? Which would then put another fake Mysterio on Sinister London, which would then put another fake Mysterio somewhere else?

IIRC London Mysterio just creates a second real (or fake I suppose if you played the fake one there) Mysterio at another location that looks fake until the end of the game who then reveals as real at endgame. The illusions don't show because you're not playing him from your hand.

I BELIEVE that's how it works. It's been so long since Ive done it and it hasn't cost me a game so I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure that's the mechanic

I can't remember if the clone from Sinister London will reveal as real or fake at the end, but I know that it doesn't spawn a second full set of illusions. Also worth knowing about Mysterio is that if you play Bast while it is in hand, both the real and the illusions become 3 power.

Yeah how Mysterio is basically "implemented" is he's a stack of 3 cards

So any modifications to cards before being played will hit him and the clones. If you use Okoye you get 5 power Mysterio and 1 Power Illusions. Nakia makes Mysterio 6 and the Illusions 2. Mr Negative I believe makes 2 power Mysterio and 2 power illusions.

However Forge will only hit the real Mysterio because he affects the card once it's played.

You know what sucks when it comes to location effects versus on reveal effects?

Ive been waiting for this one to show up in my shop. I really want it, but I wonder how long its gonna take. If youve got the gold they should let you pick a Variant you want once a month too instead of potentially having to wait on dozens of shop resets :(

I thought I was definitely going to get the win all 3 missions one. Guy very obviously playing Galactus. Sanctorum in play so only access to 2 locations but The Nexus also in play. He piles up all his cards on the none Nexus location. Meanwhile I had 30+ power on the Nexus entering T6 and am winning all 3 locations. He plays Galactus anyway for the guaranteed loss since no matter how locations were destroyed his Nimrod + Wolverine couldn't possibly beat what I already had in play.

I thought he would retreat giving me the mission clear.

Would you rather have your idea, but also Death's Domain kills the Brood clones? The way it is now is much stronger for Brood overall

2) Next turn, you play Galactus with priority and opponent plays an unknown card in a different lane
3) The unknown card is destroyed by Galactus without being revealed
4) The next card the opponent plays is given the Shuri buff
5) ?????

It never got played, so I suppose that tracks. I bet the same happens if Aero moves the card after Shuri to Fisk Tower before it flips

Yeah that tracks, cards dont count as played until they resolve.

Got Steampunk Bishop which is a good variant but Chess Bishop is always gonna be my boy.

Only one of these variants I particularly want is Falcon. And I'm the target audience but they're not doing it for me all that much.

Been pretty unlucky with the Steampunk stuff, gotten mostly avatars and titles out of my cosmetic caches and just two variants, only one of which was actually Steampunk (Shocker)

Just bought SS, the only decks I have lost to so far are Galactus decks lol

Kitty seems to be a bit bugged; her cost seemingly cant be changed by anything, positive or negative, and Collector works funny with her too.

once that stuff gets fixed she seems like she could probably replace Sunspot in most decks that arent running She-Hulk or Infinaut. Instead of getting 1 power from an unused energy, youre getting 2, plus you can get more location interactions, feed into Angela/Bishop, etc

I guess those High Evolutionary cards would also prefer Sunspot once that hits

I've been playing a Patriot + Valkyrie deck a lot lately and she's really good counter for Shuri decks.

It's all of the other decks in the game that you kinda struggle against honestly.

That seems interesting actually and would play well with my current Patriot deck that fills lanes with Mysterios and Squirrels and Rocks.

I was using a valk thanos zoo deck that seemed fun from the bit I was playing it

then the season quest had 20 power wins so i went back to shuri

Almighty Rock Squirrel Cyclops lane beating 11 power Nimrods and 30 something power Venom (things got out of hand).

Yeah I find that not many people are expecting Valkyrie right now which is truly when cards have the most power in this game.

There are a lot of ways to break symmetry with herOngoing effects, Angela or Bishop in the same lane, pair her on turn 6 with Titania or a Demon (or something better if there are other energy cheats happening). Demon is a great choice since Valkyrie can also mitigate the -2 from Hood. Or if you have Luke Cage on the board, any cards over 3 power on your side wont go down.

Cool thing with Asteroid M, when Cosmo is there, you can play an on reveal off that location to activate it and still get the card into the lane

Just had a bot play Galactus Turn 6 on Vormir when he hadn't played any cards on it yet

Climbed around 30 cubes in the last hour or so, finally getting to 59 after waffling between 56-58 for like a week. The last 15 cubes were playing by Zuri deck which still feels fuckin dirty, but I needed those 20+ power missions.

Ive seen her described as a Shang Chi that doesnt care about armor. Strong defense again big numbers

I just pulled a Luigi and won by doing nothing.

First location was Subterranea. Next location was Central Park. My opponent played Debrii at some point. I skipped four turns in a row because I drew nothing but rocks. Meanwhile, after playing The Hood, my opponent realized they had clogged their board so much that they had little room to play anything, so they retreated.
