Chrono Trigger isn't even my favorite game in the Chrono series.

Ive actually never played Chrono Trigger I think when it was big, it wasnt the type of game I really played

I can't imagine putting a turn based RPG in someone's top 300 video games, unless they've played less than 300 games.

I can't imagine putting a turn based RPG in someone's top 300 video games, unless they've played less than 300 games. If you want a story, that's what books and film are for. If you want gameplay, that's what real video games are for. A turn based RPG has never merged both aspects in a satisfying manner; the gameplay is unfulfilling and only acceptable if lack dexterity and mental sharpness; and secondly, you have to deal with the story being broken up among those fruitless ventures.

Maybe for you Ive played lots of turn based games where the gameplay was fun Like with the fighting I loved Legend of Dragoons battle, and Shadow Hearts Covenant Both were turn based and simple. But added something to the fights. Same with Tokyo Mirage Session, which could have outrageously long character attacks if done correctly

I really hate to break it to you, but even if it's been the namesake for my user accounts for the past 23 years, The Legend of Dragoon has not aged very well. Recently played it a few months ago, and just gave up on a certain someone near the end of Disc 3.
