I still think Sheep is scum regardless of how he reacted well to his pressure. He is very very intelligent and his scum style is magically being right about everything.

Yeah it was Sheep who had that read. I thought it was a contradiction since you thought bct was scum and also scum sheep likes to be right about everything but apparently you didn't know he had said that apparently.

The last game I was in a scum did in fact make a list like that day 1 tbf

I think the list thing against JC comes off as a little overly critical. JC has been real timing snarkily enough that I don't think that list came off bad to me at all tbh.

Feels a bit nitpicky

Like on the one hand sure, lists are evil and should be smited sometimes, but also lists are a good way to condense thoughts and see a bigger picture laid out for yourself to gather thoughts.

It also feels a touch on the brave side for a scum JC to take a swing at Death. Unless they are both scum, in which case that's funny.

I don't think Han is saying JC is scum for making a list post. I think it had to do more with the second part of that statement of trying really hard to say something about everyone. It is totally expected at the point of the game for some people to still be in your blind spot, or to have null tells, or simple gut reads with nothing else going, but JC made a point to write a little blurb on each and every person so no one can be singled out as JC paying not enough attention to them.

Maybe I'm the one reading too much into it. But I do not think Han voted JC solely on posting a "fluff" list post. JC as town made a list post last D1 where I harped on him for putting ScumBell as one of his confident town reads. Town players of all levels of skill make list posts from time to time.

anyways well, sucks that i like lists and sometimes scum likes list. i like lists because it lets people track opinions. i wish people did more lists. so all i can do is shrug and keep on keeping on.

i am obligated by the laws of being spiteful to at the very least consider offering opinions in list form as much as i can

I feel like this is also why so many people immediately jumped on JC's MZero take, because it was incredulous that he could have formed an opinion on MZero yet.

The amount of day 1 wall posts and day one full read lists is crazy.

I imagine one of the full day read lists is scum but that is just a hunch.

So you don't have people who you're really waiting on, or watching, based off of anything they've done today? Who are your neutral reads? Who are your conditional town reads? It's pretty early to be feeling good about 10/14 people.

The vigor of your convictions does not impress me much, Sultan. You feel more waffley than a wafflehouse.

What is it about BCT and JC's lists do you find specifically problematic? Dig deep for me.

193 and 196, topic 1. Pegged Dumey immediately and MZero is generally very good at scum reads.

I also hesitate to ever suspect him in general principle because he rolled scum something like 60 games in a row.

It's a shame that Town Ulti has a precedent of ignoring me when he thinks responding to my post would make him look bad, so I can't even call it scummy.

10- Sheep007 - I'm leaning Sheep as scum who is comfortable playing icarus at the moment. But not sure pressure should be applied here given he's claimed already. If he's scum and Dumey is town, then I think that adds asterisks to his second attempted soulread of Death.
11- SirChris - I feel good about Chris so far. I am constantly terrified of Chris (I have heard songs of his mafia plays elsewhere) but have no reason to suspect him.
12- Sultan - I have my eye on Sultan but don't really have a solid read. Last game I had a town soul read because Sultan had a very prominent 'ask some actually quite observant questions' game going with a bit of OMGUS added to the mix. The questions this game feel a bit milder, but the concussion gives me pause in trying to jump to a conclusion here.
13- UltimaterializerX - I don't really feel great about Ulti. It's almost 'too' standard Ulti? idk. I feel like I'm about to win 'things town ulti does on d1' bingo right now and it's unsettling. And there's a weird contrast between his approach right out of the gate. he goes from 'pce, see u when chris wields the hammer of justice in 48 hours' to 'dumey scum soulread' in the span of like ten posts. It could be irrelevant as scum or town Ulti might just not give a shit but it strikes me as odd.
14- wallmasterz - I think wallmasterz is fine for now, and I can deeply relate to starting and not knowing the references to past games. I'm inclined to give a day to properly observe and form opinions since he hasn't done anything offensive.

Well that doesn't have very many scum reads so will have to keep observing but anyways, the soul read beckons.

Plus JC has played mafia a long ass time, I think as scum if he is going to make a list it'd probably be a little more concrete. IIRC in poke wars Isquen's day 1 list was actually alright and it was scum Lea who called it out for example.

I think that scum JC probably doesn't make that post because of optics that are obvious. Like scum are total cowards. If he didn't want to give reads on people outside of SOUL or vote for GUT he could have found something else to do.

Really that post came off more like jc is just having a go of it.

I clarified the difference in how I interpreted Han's JC vote in post 220, and you responded to the post after it, but not the post I made. That's why I'm saying you're intentionally not responding to it.

Let me restate. I think Han is going after JC for a more nuanced reason than just making a list post. And you're jumping onto JC "fluff" posting when it's something Town JC did last game as well. Do you understand why I'm saying you and Han are going after JC for two different reasons?

the problem here is your expectation of substance. i'm not trying to impress anyone, i'm offering my casual observations on things.

and really it's a topic 2 list, what do you expect from it?

I did an ISO of him and am currently very unimpressed on how he jumped on me for not having much substance when all he did was ask Sheep random questions for the first half of this topic.

Oh God I'm on the same wave length as Ulti idk if that is a good thing or not.

Anyway I am tired, but one last thing.

I think the criteria for reading into people that Ulti and now Sultan is employing is deeply flawed. i won't speak for Han's original vote but having problems with lists or surface level things like people not developing strong reads early isn't beneficial for town. There's a big difference between "I don't like someone did this" and "I can see the scum motivation behind it."

To vote JC I would need someone to lay it out for me why scum JC goes after death on a gut read when death is a really good player. Why would scum JC pick a fight with death there? What's the motivation? How does scum JC benefit from doing that with a weak reason? What does it accomplish for him? Why not sheep me? Why not attack a weaker player?

JC I was more interested in questioning Ulti about jumping on to saying you were fluff posting, but if he's going to bed, I'd be interested in you responding to my post #220 as well. You responded to Han at the time of his vote saying "that's the point of a list post!" but with the extra context I've provided, would you respond differently to Han now?

Though I will give JC this.

The limited stuff I saw From Mzero I didn't mind.

I dont nessisarily think that makes him town but some decent thoughts on sheep and Dumey when he was here
