Fast forward is strange

I literally had Wong + Thor + Odin + Hazmat on the double activation location and we watched as Thor was commanded by Odin to summon 16 hammers. Took probably 2 minutes of real time. No fast forward.

I'm dying. This person was smugly throwing thumbs up "I feel confident" during the whole match.

He plays that Nightcrawler and Hobgoblin, doing a thumbs up before they reveal. And then I have Surfer and Juggs there that just punts both of them into the middle lane. And then I throw a thumbs up after.

I tried a few gambles that didn't pay off in this one but the last turn this dude really screwed himself.

after choking at rank 99 9/10 cubes (and losing EIGHT cubes) off of playing cards in the wrong order, and subsequently tying a 2nd game after making it back to 9/10 cards, i have finally made it to infinite rank!

final thoughts: this was one of the most grueling grinds to the top rank in pretty much any game i've played (excepting league of legends i suppose, though i will never make it to masters there even). i don't necessarily think it was harder than other card games, but the sheer number of games it takes definitely dwarfs the other games because people rarely play for 4 or 8 cubes once you get into the late 80s and early 90s ranks.

aero carried me pretty hard though and the card effect definitely needs to be nerfed to something like moving only the first card played that turn by your opponent. shuri also carried and prob should be nerfed as well. but yeah the fact that aero on 6 with 2 winning lanes is often a straight up autowin is a little too busted

lastly i stand by the statement that the thanos/quinjet interaction needs to be nerfed, absolutely the most frustrating deck i played against and often felt like an auto-loss regardless of the deck i was playing. it definitely didn't help that the featured lockjaw location was absolutely nuts for that deck

probably won't do it again, or at the very least not while a cardback is the only rewards :/ although it is a nice cardback

Yeah, my location was filled and I revealed second.

With movement cards like Aero or Juggs, if their turn is first, they'll still play their on reveal first. But if you play first, move them first before they activate. A lot of times with Kingpin, I'll play Aero or Juggs and they'll destroy their card without even flipping.

I've been playing Lockjaw Thanos for a day and yeah maybe this deck is too much lol.

Quinjet on 1
Mind stone on 2 (draw 2 stones from your deck)

Lockjaw and 3 stones on turn 3 pulled Leech, Devil Dino, and Blue Marvel.

And with the space stone you can move one of those over and play another stone there next turn.

I really hope they just dump some of those cards straight into pool 3. I mean imagine getting your 1/400 series 5 random drop and it's Flatman or Bullseye. The effects are just so vanilla it seems weird putting them into series 5 first.

I'm really hoping that eventually they have a big series 3 card dump like 20 new cards straight into pool 3. Maybe they do it once a year as a pseudo expansion.

the vast majority of decks in the meta run like 1 or 2 1 drops max, it's rare that killmonger gets a ton of value out of his effect and he's only 3 power which is pretty bad if you're playing him any later than turn 3

I feel like Black Knight needs to be at least 1/3 to be viable. As he is, only cards who benefits from him are Venom/Carnage, and Venom not even that much.

i mean sure but that falls into the first category too, intentionally killing your own stuff and isnt a problematic use of the card at all

because deathwave really needs to hit both death and wave to win (and ideally she-hulk and aero too). Hitting those 4 cards by turn 5/6 is better than any other card you could play in your deck which makes black knight useful for it.

for any non-destroy deck you probably wouldnt play it because you could have a straight up better card for your archetype or deck in its place

In a normal game, not accounting for locations or powers or TVA or Turn 7, youll draw 9 of your 12 cards

If your deck is very dependent on one specific card (Patriot or Cerebro for examples), it increases your chances of getting that one card

Playing those decks but not getting the archetype card is so frustrating it makes me want to add Adam Warlock to the decks lol

EDIT: Probably not worth it in a Patriot deck since you would need to add another card to destroy it, but it would slot in nicely to my Cerebro 3 which already features Killmonger

Lockjaw is one of my most played cards, even with no big bombs and just on-reveals, its nice to use, say, a Gambit, and know hes back in the deck for you to draw and use again.
