I was going to start up a modded server, but never did

We tried to set up a hardcore server a couple years ago but it was fucked up and everyone died when they loaded in so no one could play.

One crops up every couple years and hangs around for a few months before people lose interest. It's a nice idea on paper, but in practice there's rarely enough demand to be worth sustaining it indefinitely.

Yeah kind of what I figured. Still if anyone wants to start one I would be interested. I don't think my computer is good enough to host more than like 3 people. >_>

I dont think my internet connection would be good enough to host, but might be good enough to visit. If this happens, Id be willing to try.

Oh yeah that's another problem, is my internet connection. My router likes to randomly reset, and it takes like 15 minutes for it to restart when it does that.

So in my single player world I built a gunpowder farm, and I've been afking there for a few hours a day. I get about an entire shulker box of TNT worth of gunpowder every afk sessions. I kinda want to do this until I have a double chest of shulkers full of TNT then go mining for ancient debris to see how much of a Netherite beacon that will get me. >_>

Oh wow I didn't really understand at first, these armor trims aren't just for Netherite, it's for all armors except leather. Every structure in the game is getting a unique trim pattern, like 11 total. And each pattern can be 1 of 7 colors depending on the trim material. And also they're letting you make data packs to make custom trim patterns and textures. That is such a cool feature! I'm glad I haven't done a ton of exploring in my overworld yet, I'm gonna have to get all these patterns.

They changed how shulkers work like a year ago or something. If a shulker is hit by a shulker bullet, there's a chance that it will "divide" and a new shulker will spawn nearby.

I built a swamp slime farm today and let it run for like 5 hours. The results. I mean I'm happy with it, that's a lot of slime. I just thought there would be more.

Cherry Blossom biome coming in 1.20!

I'm excited for the snapshot tomorrow. If the cherry blossom biome is present, I'm gonna make a new world with the same seed I'm using and see if I can find the new biome anywhere. That way I know not to explore there yet.

Also I feel like in terms of Overworld biomes, the game still need an autumn forest biome with red, orange and yellow leaves. And I'm surprised there aren't any like tropical biomes. Like tropical islands with palm trees and different colored sand. Or like more beaches with different sand colors like white or black, black sand beaches are a real thing afterall. But like other than those kinds of things, I'm not sure what others biomes are really missing? At least for the Overworld. I feel like even though we just got the Nether update, another biome there couldn't hurt. And the End just needs to be completely overhauled. There's technically 3 biomes in the End, but they're all pretty much the exact same thing.

made a new world with 1.20 features with the same seed as my survival world to see if I can find a cherry grove near where my base is. The location with my base IS a cherry grove lol that is so unfortunate. Im gonna find another one near by and reset those chunks when 1.20 comes out

I just filled 18 shulkers full of red sand. My goal is 4 double chests of shulkers of sands so that I can make a double chest of shulkers of TNT to attempt to make a Netherite beacon. I just gathered over 31k sand. I need 342k more sand lol. Honestly, not as bad as it sounds if I do a little bit a day, I'll have that much sand in a couple weeks.

Portable storage. Its the same amount of space as a single chest, but when you break it the items stay inside.

So a double chest of shulkers takes the chest from 54 item slots to 1,458 slots. And if all of those slots are stackable items, thats 93,312 items in a double chest.

Got 9 more shulkers of sand. So I'm 1/8th done with the sand collecting. lol And I don't even know if this will be enough for a full Netherite beacon. I might blow up these 93k TNT and still need more.

I have 62k sand. I think I might try to get another 18 shulkers tomorrow then I'll be 1/4th done with my sand goal.

Also at some point I want to rework my apiary so it's entirely automatic so I can make some flying machines with honey and slime. Like big doors and stuff.

Also I remembered the goats, and checked on them. I decided I had far too many goats, so I let a bunch of them ram me to get their horns, and I despawned the ones that gave up their horns. I got 5 of the 8 types of horns. There's still like 20 goats though lol I'll keep some of the screaming ones alive cus they're hilarious but also so I can breed those to try and get some of the other rare horns.

So cherry blossoms are cool and all, but you know what I think they should add? A new stone type. A green stone type. Like green marble or something.

green marble would be cool bc serpentine stone is a common source for asbestos, which would be great for making fireproof clothing and building materials

Basically yeah; Skyblock is way more vanilla though since it's just a map (and it's possible to brick yourself if you plan poorly), whereas everything in Skyfactory can be created somehow. Skyfactory is like a modded Skyblock

That sounds pretty neat actually. Ive never actually played Skyblock. When I got back into Minecraft last year I initially planned to play it modded then decided against it since it would be easier to relearn in if I also didnt need to learn stuff added in mods.

Oh WTF Mega Man X DLC just dropped for Bedrock o_O thats really cool. Too bad its paid DLC for a version of Minecraft I dont even play.

Neat 1.19.4 should be soon. In a week or two probably. Potions no longer have the enchantment glint and now have distinct colors (why did this take them 10 years lol). New high contrast menu option for accessibility features, tons of bug changes, and world loading was streamlined. So the way it worked before was that every time you loaded a world it would check all nearby chunks to convert them to the latest chunk format. It will now only do this the first time you load a world up in a new version. After that loading a world should be much faster.

Welp I am halfway done with the sand gathering and TNT crafting. Just need a couple more afk sessions to get the rest of the gunpowder, then I need to get another 100~ shulkers of sand and craft the rest of the TNT. I'll definitely be done with the gunpowder first. So after that might try to expand my slime farm, see if that will improve my rates. Also I want to rework the storage system in my gold farm to either autosmelt the gold swords or just delete them, and to auto distribute the nuggets, bars and flesh into chest towers, or maybe auto shulker packers. Technical Minecraft is fun! :D Like I could make a machine to duplicate the sand, but that's cheating, and if I do manage to build the Netherite beacon I want to share my world to show I did it all legitimately.

Done with the gunpowder farming I think :0
