Each of these shulkers has 27 stacks of 64 TNT. I passed the halfway mark for the TNT crafting tonight :D I just need to gather another... 84 shulkers of sand I think? I won't really have time tomorrow to get any, but on Thursday I'll see if I can get 18 in one sitting again since I haven't done that in a while.

Oh, also they are announcing the title of 1.20 on Thursday.

1.20 is the Trails and Tales Update. No word on a release window yet.

Got 18 shulkers of red sand. So like if I do that over the next few days I'll be done, but that's like 4 hours of gathering sand a day, that's pretty boring. >_> Will definitely be done with the sand gathering next week though. But I'm wondering if I maybe want to wait until 1.20 to start blowing up the TNT so I'm not generating structures that won't have the new items in them. I guess I could always reset chunks but I don't really want to do that in chunks that I've acquire ancient debris in you know?

Iknow what's up, but I just think it's cool that Minecraft is probably the only game people are comfortable playing with THAT MUCH UI on screen

I mean it doesn't look like that all the time, only when I press F3 to get some info I want. It is kinda cheaty, but its been in the game for 13 years so like it's just part of the game now.

Also thinking of maybe using a texture pack. I'm not really interested in high res texture packs. I think they look weird. I'm thinking like 16x or 32x or maybe 64x. Something that is different, but still feels like Minecraft. Like the old Painterly Pack. I used to use that all the time back in the day.

i meant it as a good thing, it's a lot of UI and yet still very playable

And here's the thing, this might not be enough for a full beacon lol This might only be the bottom two layers, if that. But still, that's most of the beacon, it wouldn't take very much more to finish it if that's the case.

No Java is not discontinued, and I havent heard anything about that happening. Its Mojangs preferred version so I dont see it going anywhere.

I kinda dont have anything to do until 1.20 so Ive been playing Terraria. Been forever since ai played this game but Im having a lot of fun. I think Im at the Hard mode prep stage so I think I need to make some hellevators and dig out some trenches to hopefully contain the spread of evil and hollow biomes.

I'm going for a mage build. I killed the Wall of Flesh 6 times. It dropped 2 Ranged Emblems and 4 Summoner Emblems. :|

Farmed some souls of light/night/flight and made some weapons and wings. Finished my Adamantite gear. So I guess its time to fight the mechanical bosses? :0

Killed each of the mechanical bosses a few times. Started mining for Chlorophyte, and I found a few Plantera Bulbs already, so that's handy to know. It's just the jungle is such a nightmare to navigate and fight through I keep having to teleport out cus I keep almost dying. x_x

Did a bunch of farming in the dungeon and temple, fought some eclipses, some pirate attacks, stuff like that. Killed the Golem like 6 or 7 times. So I think my next course of action is Lunatic Cultists, Celestial Event and Moon Lord? Back like 10 years ago or whatever Golem was the final boss iirc, so yeah this is becoming uncharted territory for me.

I never did beat those. I think I fought cultists once.

Just did a bunch of Halloween and Christmas events to see if I could get some weapons. Literally the first Ice Queen I killed dropped the Blizzard Staff. I summoned a Pirate Invasion to test it out. The Flying Dutchman died in like 4 seconds lol. So next time I play I think I'm gonna do the whole Lunatic Cultists to Moon Lord thing see if I can beat the game.

Farmed Duke Fisheron. I got everything except the wings which I'm not even sure if I can get those in Classic mode? Then I wanted to fight Dreadnautilus for completions sake. I popped a bloody tear, not realizing it was a full moon so it was werewolves and blood moon enemies. Then a martian probe saw me, so it was a martian invasion during a full moon and a blood moon. Amazingly I never died, and I managed to snag the UFO mount! Then I farmed lacewings for a few nights. Got like 9 of them. Used one. First attempt I got Empress of Light down to like 20% but I decided I was tired and would try it tomorrow. So I think tomorrow I'm gonna attempt Empress a few times, hopefully get the wings or the Guitar, then it's time for Lunatic Cultists -> Moon Lord!

Farmed Empress for a while, didn't get the wings. Took a few attempts but managed to take down Moon Lord! Then I managed to farm him for a while, then I took down Empress during daytime, so Terraprisma get!

I kinda want to start an Expert mode run using only yo-yos now but thats probably way harder lol

Yeah I started a Yo-yo only Expert character. This is hard. I had to go into the Jungle while still using a wooden yo-yo to farm materials for an Amazon. I did it but it was hard and took a long time. I really need to find a skeleton merchant to get a counterweight

Oh wow new Minecraft snapshot. New Archeology structure, new armor trim, Sniffer eggs, suspicious gravel, 16 new pottery shards, and new Sniffer plant :0. And sounds like even more is coming in future snapshots.

Has anyone played modded Terraria? My brother keeps telling me I need to play Calamity.

So I'm at the point of the Expert run where I fight Wall of Flesh. Just spent like 3 hours building my bridge and only got like halfway done. Might be long enough though? Regardless I'll try the fight later. Might be pretty hard using a yoyo. Did manage to snag a Cascade and roll it Demonic so that's pretty big.

Took like 7 or 8 attempts but I actually managed to kill the Wall of Flesh using only a Yoyo in Expert mode.

Twins defeated!

Destroyer and Skeletron Prim down! Skeletron Prime was shockingly easy. Didn't even have to kill any of the hands, just kept the yoyo on the skull and did it first attempt no problem.

Spent several hours exploring the jungle, got a Godly Yelets, built my arena, and took like 4 or 5 tries but killed Plantera :D my arena was too small initially I think cus I kept getting hit by the spikey bouncy things, so I just removed the floor and all the blocks like 15 blocks below that and that made the fight way easier.

And no surprise Golem was super easy.

Okay fantastic this run got a lot better than how it started. Today I killed Destroyer, Skeletron Prime, Plantera, farmed Golem, and I did a solar eclipse and got a Godly Eye of Cthulhu. Lunatic Cultist shouldn't be hard, Pillars will be Pillars. Idk about Moon Lord though. I might have to smooth out my world and just kite him from one end to the other.

Ha! I actually killed Fishron with the yoyo and got the mount

Yeah idk if I can do this, I can only get like 10% off Moon Lord before he destroys me

I started a Calamity world! The world generation is all fucked, there's literally no caves on the left side of the map, and the entire right side of the map is corruption! In a medium world! Other than that though having fun. Think I'm at the point where I can start fighting the pre-hardmode bosses.

I'm playing Calamity! Revengeance Mode. Mage build. I just farmed Eye of Cthulhu, Slime King and Desert Scourge and did a Goblin Army and found the Goblin guy. Playing with other mods like LuiAFK, Smart Storage, Alchemist NPC, WeaponOut, other stuff like that for convenience/ambiance. So I think I can go down to the sunken sea and fight pre-hardmode clam now? And I keep getting told that there's something funky happening at the Sulfer Sea, but I kinda haven't been over there yet because literally that entire half of the world is in Corruption. >_>

Honestly I ignored the sulphur sea for like 90% of my time with the game, I just put it off until i could trivialize it all lol. I did surface stuff but was too lazy to make a diving set. If you're ever confused as to what boss you should fight next, there's a nice little mod called Boss Checklist that roughly orders them by intended progression, and by default it just gives hints on how to find them if you haven't fought it yet. Clam should be pretty early iirc.

Yeah using Boss Checklist. Today I killed and farmed Giant Clam, Crabulon(god damn this music is a banger. reminds me of something from like Mega Man X) Eater of Worlds, Hive Mind, Queen Bee, and Skeletron. Got a shadow key. So looks like I have Slime God and Wall of Flesh left for Pre-Hardmode.

The music in general is insane for a mod, especially some of the new hard mode bosses. Unfortunately the composer had a falling out with the Calamity devs so he's not gonna be working with them any longer.

Oh am I supposed to fight the Aquatic Scourge before hardmode, or does it matter?

The abyss is basically optional progression, Aquatic Scourge was one of the final bosses in the game i fought. You definitely can do it now

The new calibrated sculk sensor is crazy. You can make working telegraph systems using sound.

Okay I think something is wrong with tmodloader or calamity or something. Occasionally Ill notice that mobs arent spawning at all, and the only solution seems to be to restart the application and that may or may not fix it. The internet says its Calamity mod itself thats the issue. Im up on a sky island trying to farm feathers and I have a water candle and Im getting one spawn like every 50 seconds. I should be swarmed with harpies right now.

Oh cool my world is broken, none of the sulphurous sea chests have loot in them.

Yeah I'm running into a lot of frustrating issues. Broken chests, NPCs don't respawn, mobs rarely spawn, can't craft certain things even if I have the materials and know the recipe. I asked the devs if they know what the issue is, hopefully they respond. I was really enjoying it too, but I'm scared the answer is to delete everything, uninstall and reinstall it all and start fresh.

that's pretty weird, I've never run into issues in my about 7 worlds so i dunno. at the very least it's pretty easy to slingshot forward in progression if you do start a new world with your stronger gear but rebuilding houses and setting up pylons can be annoying

Yeah never heard back about my problems with the mod. Decided I'm going to keep going with it. If i come across any more broken chests or NPCs or anything, I'm just gonna look up the loot tables and use magic storage to give myself the items so I can continue with the mod. I'm not dealing with a buggy mess if I don't have to. And I hear that Fabsol is actually kind of a dipshit and he would probably insult me for using other mods if he ever did respond to my problems in the first place.

Yeah fabsol is a douche. He singlehandedly got the original calamity subreddit to implode for like half a year because of his gamer rage.
