It only applies to NPCs who were added after 3.0; originally I presumed the idea was that Sumeru NPCs are connected to the Akasha and therefore she's reading them through that, however it works on people who wouldn't have a terminal, as well as continuing to work after the archon quest.

This Lantern Rite is really good

The second and third main quests have some neat lore and are pretty fun. My only complaint is the typical Genshin wordiness (it's a long one again) and also the English voice acting during the performance is...oof. lmao.

Human form Cloud Retainer better be playable at some point. I wouldn't complain about Streetward Rambler either though that seems less likely.

I didn't think Xinyan or Hu Tao did a poor job in the moment. I just found the lyrical content underwhelming. I've heard a few people weigh in on this, and the general consensus is that it's not the actors but the localization.

And yeah, those quests are long. I've learned not to go into any Genshin quest when I've only got 10 minutes before I need to be doing something else.

They can be long, but I enjoy most of the dialogue. Paimon kinda spells out the obvious too much, but otherwise I always like seeing the characters interact with each other and the world around them too. That said I have like 6-7 character quests to catch up on, most of Sumerus world quests to do and a lot of characters to build still.

I did get my free Yaoyao though. She might be C0 for a while, but seems like I could throw her into a team with Nahida and Nilou. Maybe Yelan or Xingqiu as the 4th member?

Still so much of Sumeru to explore for me and character quests to catch up on. Still got a lot of characters to build and artifacts to dump to make room for new ones. Debated if I wanted to try for Cs of Yaoyao, but with how stacked Fontaine looks for characters I might be interested in Ill just save my primos.

Lisa costume event is up. Tomorrow the shop resets too and I might get a 5* from Standard. Hoping for a Jean C or a 5* Claymore I guess.

Damn, I still have a bunch of Lantern Rite to do, but I think I'm almost done with the story.

Today I got the Geo Travel Diary commission for the first time.

Damn my monthly Fates didnt result in a 5* on the Standard, but should be any pull by now since Im at like 79 or something

Also wow my artifacts arent ideal, but damn the team I used of Nahida/Kuki/Xing/Nilou destroyed floor 9 and 10 of Abyss. I mean those are easy floors and theres a Dendro bonus, but still very effective together.

From what I understand, Nilou+Nahida Bloom is one of the strongest teams in the game for how low the investment needed is. Even without the buff.

Ditto for hyper/quickbloom which this boon makes even better. As long as you're not getting tossed around like a ragdoll with no shield like me lol

The funniest thing is my Nilou currently has no artifacts and still managed so I believe it

Wow this Abyss was my easiest 27* so far. Hate how floor 12 has no Leyline disorder ever. Its harder than all the other floors combined and the time limits always kill me star wise

Jesus the scorpion and bird duo on floor 12 destroyed my poor Yoimiya.

I think theres like 7 short scenes with her. Would be nice if Hoyo marked her location or something since most thought her saying she would be hanging out in Sumeru was just flavor text.

The idea of having two pyro claymores on the standard banner is kinda weird.

I wouldnt risk the odds of Dehya on Standard if you want her. Thats having to fight a 5* weapon roll possibility and if you get a 5* character having it be like a 1 in 7 chance instead of the far better featured banner odds she will have.

Eula rerun not in sight, but theyre putting her best support Mika on the Shenhe/Ayaka rerun. Eula rerun is way overdue too

He's a physical damage support? And he supports Eula better than Raiden Shogun? I need to see this program.

he's not better than raiden for eula. from what i've read he's really only worth it for eula over her normal supports (like diona, bennett, etc.) when you get him to c6

i guess im just going to pull on this current weapon banner then, staff of homa and aqua simulacra seem more interesting than a standard banner character :(

Second half is oops all cryo. Not really clear on why they're running Shenhe and Ayaka. Shenhe's due for a rerun -- certainly before Cyno -- but Ayaka's not as dearly needed. You'd think there'd be at least one Mondstadt character during the Windblume patch.

I did not pull on Tighnari's banner, and I doubt I'm going to ever get him at this point.

Mika, to my understanding, is not impressive at all. He's obviously built up as a support for Eula, given that he works under her, but he's not really good for other physical supports and he's nothing special for her. If you're choosing between Mika and Rosaria for your fourth team slot, you're probably taking Rosaria.

Ayaka maybe for last ditch costume sales? I dunno. Shes fairly popular so Im not surprised to see her again already.

okay, i went ahead and pulled on the weapon banner until i got one of them. my first 5 star after about 60 pulls was staff of homa, so then i pulled on the hu tao banner and got hu tao and jean.

not too shabby, hu tao will be my new character to play around with now that i have her weapon too

Anyway, enjoy your Hu Tao. If that's C0, she's very technically demanding with jump cancels unless you just shrug and decide you don't care.

I got C0 Hu Tao this banner and only got her built up enough to play about a week ago and the jump cancel mechanics already feel like second nature by now. I got acclimated with her very quickly.

i have all these hydro characters but no vape carry so hu tao is good for me anyway, i was hoping dehya would work with them but she's a bit too neutered

And yeah, it's not *that* big a deal to do the jump cancels. Some people make a big deal out of it. But dash cancels are much nicer. I used to do that and just suffer running out of stamina real fast.
