If you haven't played this, the original version of The Stanley Parable is worthy of GotD-discussions and is in my opinion the perfect example of a walking simulator. Ultra Deluxe is sometimes more of the same and sometimes uniquely adding up on the original, but its additions are all good. This is a game about min/max-ing once you start playing it well. You will probably lean heavily into one of the three attributes as your primary source of points. (Just don't completely neglect the others!) masterplum posted... And made it to the 4th expedition before going into a brutal encounter and getting my ass kicked. That was fun. Not sure how much time I want to spend playing it though Yeah, the 4th levels tend to be rough. That's when you know you've actually hit the real challenge. I'd recommend for your first couple games to just not do the 4- and 5-star missions. Originally Shangri-La was the only 5-star mission and it is BRUTAL, but I've gotten my ass handed to me more than a few times in Emerged Island or Transylvania even when I've been having a good run. If you want a very simple, direct party, play Anna as captain with Kiwi and Dolores. Very balanced party that should cover you well as you do all the science-focused areas (and Aztec third). That's my usual go-to when I don't want to have to think. Once you unlock her, the same team with Dolores as lead is interesting, albeit it plays completely differently because of the way you play into Dolores' captain bonus. --- Only the exceptions can be exceptional. <cite>azuarc posted [p:970391202] in Post here ... Much nicer final level than Shangri-la (and I haven't done the Holy Grail one much since that came way later, but I don't really get into that stage, either.) I don't typically play with Hattice, but most of the characters can be strong in some way or another -- albeit not all of them in combat. Took me a while just to surpass Rivaleux, which is at 2500. No idea what settings you're on, though.
