As I watched a Disney movie arguably marketed to kids, where they called each other bitch and flicked them off and called each other idiots and shown, I wondered at what age would I have been reprimanded for saying someone was an idiot (whether justified or not). I decided probably 4th grade is when that wouldn't have been actual punishment. To think I myself argued extensively to not have BCT modkilled with a damn pit of hyenas chomping to modkill him. That's kinda funny. I don't get a warning for something innocuous? It clearly was makeup call refereeing there. Which is funny.

And the fact someone marked it and a moderated deleted it (whoever marked it tried to get a post in a game deleted so shame on them) for "abusive behavior" is hilarious. It reminds me of when someone marked everytime someone called someone scum and a moderator deleted all the posts.

Literally a game that has roles called Fool and Idiot lol.

Btw as someone that often gets pushed hard as town I am legitimately surprised how easy I had it this game. The only thing I can for sure say I'd do differently as town is defend MZero but I just feel like we could not lose at that point. Would've if we still needed three mislynches. I just tried to focus more on thinking like town than thinking what's smart for my team.

Thought it was very fun to scum though! I'm surprised several people seem to think that's not fun.

Scum is fun but it's funner to figure things out too.

The best scumhunting this game was done by me and Han. I legitimately scumhunted this entire game as I would town. I told you Sultan was vanilla not because we scanned him but because it was obviously. Mzero clearly played as town. Scum absolutely tried hardest to not claim til the end because they didn't know the setup to see how to fit their claim. Scares shot timing was impossible to not be the stop. Sbell being town argument based on Scare was golden.

Like, town is wrong all the time when scumhunting. Literally just scumbunt as scum.

Town clearing is the way to go. I had some legit town clear reads day 1 and I think they were fairly accurate

Its the most fun I had as scum this year, thats for sure.
But I prefer being town (and indy) more.

I could have lit up so many people.

And Corrik dont misrepresent the argument here. Ctes wasnt around and I was arguing against MKing BCT too.

MI wasn't on my list, but he could have been due to what my pms said. My PMs said no one else had their role when I got mine. Thus MI couldn't have been distaken from the pool. It's simply an error. No biggie. If it wasn't an error, MI has to gamble on me being scum or back off and admit my role fits which makes me basically viewed as town in addition to my play and its an easy coast.

I didn't account for an error existing there.

Ah. I did think about taking it. But I knew Changmas was likely to somehow have the exact power needed to nullify my claim

I think the lesson to take from this is that you are more comfortable being a jerk to people you don't know, and receiving such in turn, than other people. I would encourage you to interpret this as a personal preference of yours, and try to adjust your behavior accordingly.

You crossed the line, and what's worse is that you crossed the line while completely misreading what Lea said. An apology is in order.

I apologize if Lea felt offended because I care about her feelings. I don't apologize for saying she was an idiot twice in a game. It's literally something you wouldn't get admonished for in a classroom setting after middle school. It's silly.

Thus, I only feel bad if she took it worse than intended. If she felt upset about it, I sincerely apologize for hurting her feelings. I will adjust my behavior in relation to her to accommodate what she finds upsetting in the future if that's the case. I don't want to upset Lea. I like her a lot and value her immensely. I think she knows that already though.

That was my plan, until I realized A. Changmas could counter me.
B. The hint I left in preparation for that claim (outright talking about Untargetable and then seeing Mzero pick up on that) worked against me as soon as town started to assume everyone should notice how Ben and Mzero cannot be on the same side. Had I known Mzero was untargetable early on, they would suspect me for never bringing it up day2/3

I'd argue, Han, I am more comfortable being measurably loose with people I know and consider friends. There is zero scenario where I think Lea wouldn't eyeroll and laugh at me calling her an idiot there.

I am very, very conscientious of being overly respectful to people I am unfamiliar with to the point of being overly shy with people I am not familiar with.

Apologies for replacing out, everyone. Especially Suprak and Plum, always hate putting people in that position. I fully intended to sit down after work last Monday and get into a real game mindset but I woke up feeling like crap. Even if it was only gonna be a day or two thing I didn't want to drag the game down too much so asked for a replacement. Turned out it was covid again and I didn't actually feel better until this past weekend. Oh well! Seems like it was an interesting game from what I saw!

If Lea is upset, she can PM me. Lea is my bud. There was zero ill intent there besides playing a game with a friend. It was mindblowing to me how overblown that got, but I suspect highly it was just salty town pushing that outcome and Suprak makeup call refereeing there because he had to modkill BCT. If it was actually that bad, he would have modkilled me immediately because if I survive there and he modkills me after, he ruined all integrity of his game there and calls into question every last interaction that day that happened from there to the end of the day.

I love Suprak (despite his saying I am "ulti banned for life now" or whatever he said) and was literally the one who tagged him to ask him to make this game. I think he made some little errors this game and made modkill decisions based on emotion here. But, he was busy and had a lot going on. He did us a good deed hosting the game with everything going on though.

I asked multiple people to check in on him to make sure he was alright because him going through and deleting 200 posts is something that looks above a normal response, to me. I blocked him not to spite him, but because I was afraid that someone who did what he did might take further action to mess with the game. I was going to unblock him now, actually, I don't plan on blocking him forever. I would suggest he take some games off because this doesn't seem like something that is good for him at the moment, but I'm not policing anything.

I don't think I was bullying him, but here are all messages I have related to the modkill. If I'm omitting any or changing these in any way, BCT can tell you.

Please be careful and dont be dumb.

2) Please dont try to meta things beyond the scope of the actual game. This means, for example, no talking about when you got your PMs. I dont think you should be able to meta this to your advantage, but just in case dont. You know when youre actually playing the game and when youre trying to game the system. Avoid the latter.

I have had no other communication with him until now. I guess I was shorter with him in that last message than I could've been, but I admit I was frustrated having to modkill someone and him lashing out was annoying.

That's it though. I don't know how I've been bullying. I promise I haven't been running any sort of smear campaign against you. His reaction to that was to delete all his posts, so I made a semi-joking message about it. I wasn't mad. I pointed out where you could find the messages on the site that should not be named. That was it.

I think your reaction here BCT is way above what it needs to be. I hope you're ok and you can just move past this because this is a stupid game and it isn't worth ruining your entire week about. That rule has never been used for "idiot". It's meant for personal attacks. Idiot being warnable is shaky, let alone modkillable.

Stuart made comments about my personal life and my significant other cheating on me in a game when we barely knew each other. I was initially upset but very quickly let it go and also vetoed his modkill that game as well. Now me and Stu are decent buddies. I think we bonded over that. I am very quick to forgive those who wrong me if they want forgiveness and very erred on the side of the other in situations, hence me not wanting BCT modkilled here or Ulti to be banned as he is. I don't get angry really unless someone is going at me in a fucked up way for a long time. I am very much the take it in take it in take it in take it in and hope it dissipates before u lose my shit.

Lea did nothing here to cause anger. I was just trying to recreate town fire while in a hurry getting ready. I felt Leas argument was silly or whatever she was pointing out and just trying to tie it up quickly instead of letting the back and forth drag on.

Maybe there is a difference, but I'd argue that you are really splitting hairs. And many would probably say "this is fucking stupid" right now over campaigning on the big evils of an adult calling another adult an idiot in a game they are playing together.

That said, I care about Lea's feelings only in regards to it to be quite honest. Didn't think it would upset her or I wouldn't have said it. If it did, I am sorry to her.

I very often have to be conscious of what I say and after the fact change it. I said something regarding Lopen, which I know Lopen wouldn't really take offense to, on the scumboard. Realizing I said this without thinking and in normal thought process, I edited it to what the context was in case others couldn't figure it out.

It happens. You can't really edit posts in a mafia game. If I could have, I would have probably edited it to "you are being an idiot here" or "you are being idiotic" after the fact just to cross my ts and dot my is. But, that's the nature of no editing.

Btw plum, for as much as you stated you weren't having as much fun and needed a break. It seemed like you eventually came around to at least a little bit. Maybe you just don't replace into large games but keep it at like, idk, 12 players tops? I might be wrong, but it also seemed you had it fun enough when replacing into a small one as scum earlier this year. Maybe I'm wrong but had fun playing with you at least.

Not gonna lie, it's why I signed up as a replacement too. I can't keep track of so many players, and I generally prefer smaller, shorter games. As a replacement, there will hopefully be some players dead by the time I join!
