We used to get a visa gift card and an extended lunch break that was catered. Last couple years we haven't received anything. I'm curious how common it is anymore. I work for a major bank btw

No, bonuses for my company happen in August, and given the size of them I would rather have that then a Christmas bonus. My manager did get me a couple jars of candy though, which was cool.

Nothing formal. Just a few paid holidays (Christmas day, Boxing Day, and New Year's, or the next would-be work day if they're on weekends, and informally Christmas Eve is always a half day) and a team christmas party that effectively ended up being another paid day off where my director paid for our first round of drinks.

Just got money in a card at our office Christmas party yesterday

Thanksgiving time, for about ten days, our employee discount goes up to 20%, and our first purchase over 30 bucks during that time sees an additional 30 bucks off. So 36-37 dollars worth of groceries becomes practically free. Which is nice.

No, but for some reason they take too much off my paycheque for EI/pension dues all year until like October. So my October/November/December paycheques are dramatically higher than the rest of the year, since I've already fully paid my annual contributions to EI and the pension.

Not really a Christmas bonus, but I get an annual bonus of 25% of my annual base salary depending on the company's performance over the year.

No. My dad just shits on the floor and leaves a mess every where he goes and complains I dont spend enough time with him.

Small cash bonus and extra time off to use if we want it, along with the paid holiday. But I work for the government so Ill take whatever they throw at me.

Eh, sort of. Nothing cash-wise, but there's a list of gifts of varying $$ that's doled out at random to employees of the company. I won a 75" OLED 4K TV a couple years back.

used to get a contribution to a team meal or similar
then for a couple of years we were given a hamper
and now we get an online payment we can spend at limited selection of places (such as Amazon)

Paid holiday leave for 7 days, couple of catered parties and gift bags of goodies.

400 bucks this year. First time theyve given out anything to anyone since ive been there so was neat.

We get branded swag, usually some combination of drinking container and overshirt.

While better than nothing, I do miss the quarterly and Christmas bonus checks from my previous job, even the base pay was considerably less.

Thats not a bonus. Thats advertising for them. And you dont get paid.

We get paid at a higher rate if we work holidays. What sucks is they will change what days pay the holiday pay to be a weekday if the holiday falls on a weekend. They do that so the 9-5 M-F office pukes get the holiday pay.

Fuck us who work 12 hours on Christmas

no, annual bonuses at my past few companies have been at the end of the fiscal year

holidays is just party, time off, swag, events, soft stuff like that

We got like $1k but that was to everyone hired before a certain date and most likely implemented since we didn't get a raise this year.

Our raises happen around Christmas, but no bonuses.

I used to work for a smaller company that gave out bonuses; when we got bought out, the new company just rolled that compensation into our annual pay.

Didn't get one last year but I did get a 2% raise, even though I'd only been working there since August.

I get holiday pay, 8 hours for christmas even though we're all off. They also released our regular monthly bonus early.

They did, basically, every previous year.
No word about it this year.

Part-time (barely), so no bonuses for me.

We got holiday pay if we had to work those days.

Part-time; so nothing other than an appreciation dinner (food catered in while HR gives their yearly 'we have to do this briefing' thingy) during which they hand out gift cards or bills, depending on how good the economy is. You have to be really 'lucky' to get either the cards and/or the cash; it's taxed on your paycheck as well. Makes me grateful that I haven't 'won' anything yet.
