I think there's been a topic about this before, but I hadn't played the game yet at that time...so now that I can't be spoiled, stop here if you don't wanna be spoiled either.

Neat game! Weird house!

I loved every bit of this game, but it's been so long.

Fishery definitely stood out the most, though.

Yeah without a doubt fishery was the most impactful.

lol, I thought Molly's was by far the best. Can't do a full ranking because I don't remember them all but fishery was probably #2.

The Calvin swing set story is the one I remember the most

Lewis > Molly > Barbara > Milton > Calvin > Gus > Gregory > Sam > Walter

they're all excellent though and I think about this game more than is probably healthy

Really hard to beat the fish cannery. That one was jaw-dropping.

I also have a soft spot for the small story where a kid just disappears one day, and they have zero idea what happened. It felt distressingly real.

Lewis is far and away the best imo. And I like the others!

that was Milton and he's confirmed to be the king of The Unfinished Swan (though whether any of that actually happened is up for interpretation)

Fish Cannery is the best IMO, but shoutout to the story of the baby in the bathtub, that one really got to me.

Barbara also gets major bonus points for me presumably being based off of the old PC game Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutants, a game which two people (me and that scenario designer) have played.

I know that now, but at the time it was just "kid's gone, idk where." It really stuck with me after all the stories with a fantastical presentation.

It's been a long time since I've played but the two that stuck with me the most were the baby in the bath and the swing.

The cannery didn't live up to the hype for me. I thought he was gonna accidentally chop his hand off or something but he just kills himself?

I don't know how to even interpret that post.

Those were the good ones. I was less interested in bathtub baby, swingset, girl who poisoned herself, kite flier, or whoever else there was. And of course we can't leave out Edith herself, who nobody here has mentioned.

Barbara Finch is probably my favorite overall

It's not so much that the fish guy had the best story, but it was the best presentation, and one of the few parts of the game that had gameplay. It did a good job of portraying someone who is at work while drifting off in thoughts, which was the most fascinating part.

The cannery story was not only amazing but also disturbingly close to home for me
