I don't know how any of that works though.

Assassins Creed Valhalla is something that I have watched so many times in streams. It is a really intriguing thing and I can see myself vanishing into these games This and Odyssey when I get some downtime. Progression based games can be so rewarding in the long run.

Valhalla is weird in the sense that I'm constantly picking it up and putting it down, yet every time I pick it back up I'm always like "why did I quit playing this?"

I definitely appreciate how much smaller it is than Odyssey. Odyssey tends to drag due to long journeys to get anywhere.

Made sure to send my games out. They're timed to be received at night on Christmas Eve, not midnight like I did last time though, ahaha~

I had a quick look into Renowed Explorers, it looks like a really good time sink

Looks like ESY got me again for the second time in three years! I received the Castlevania Advance Collection, Okami, and Anarcute!

I played SotN for the first time this year and absolutely loved it, so I'm really excited to dive into the GBA games! Okami is a game I've wanted to try for years as a Zelda fan so that's very exciting too! Finally, Anarcute looks like Katamari, which is one of my favorite series, so that should be fun!

And received. I was laying down, looked up, and there was a pop-up on my screen. Didn't realize it had *just* been sent.

Swirl got me the classic platformer Shovel Knight, the acclaimed RPG Bug Fables, and a lesser-known metroidvania Tomomi. All were trapped in wishlist hell where I kept passing them by for other games, and now I'll finally have a chance to try them!

edit: You know what's great? I just went to install all three, and collectively they take under half a gig.

They also got me two games I had never heard of, but that they said they liked which I am ecstatic about. I love experiencing things other people like. These games were Planetarian HD, which is a visual novel & SanctuaryRPG: Black Edition which is a turn-based ASCII game and looks amazing (and was the first one I installed).

It took me a little to acclimate to Wildermyth. It's a great game, but it also plays really slowly compared to most titles in my library because it's an SRPG. The between-levels bits are the most interesting parts of the story-telling, but during the actual battles, treat it like what it is -- you're playing a D&D adventure with a level 1 character. Or, like, an Into the Breach level or something. Definitely do not try to tank hits and trade blows.

Weaku got me Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, and Persona 4 Golden.

psaltery/Blackscar went full on a bit of my priorities, which actually leads to a funny scenario with each.
Dragon Age Origins on Steam helps me not play the non-DLC version I have on Origin, and probably helps me with my recent Skyrim fix with a different, but similar genre game showing up in my list. Shall be good to seriously play that one again since... almost a decade ago now.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is one I kinda push the idea of playing the older one with a friend, and the new one may end up delayed in being played but it lets me switch it up and play the new stuff it added instead when alone. Also probably gets me off of my Civ6 Scenario fix with a game I like better than Civ.

Then there's Valheim, which due to the new expansion there was talk among a friend group of mine of playing it again, but this time I get to be involved, yay.

Cold Steel Trilogy

Unpacked, saw a couple of vtuber streams of this game and it looks like a really comfy experience.

Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe which sadly I cannot accept as in between the scheduled gift, a friend of mine also gifted me the game. I loved the original so it was a good pick anyway.

Though the Cold Steel trilogy alone is an incredibly generous gift.
