Ah okay, thanks for the clarification. I was confused as to why a secret santa would need to speak to another user here regarding gifts, and one that is also participating in this with the reverse not applying to them (though it sounds like it should?).

If someone buys you a game off your wishlist, it wont let someone else buy it again.

If that is the only issue MZero, I would be willing to buy and send out the gifts (that you choose) to the user you draw up if you promise to pay me back via Steam gift card or Paypal.

Time is running out to sign up before the soft deadline. I want to give MZero a little bit of time to decide what they would like to do, so if they don't respond by the deadline, I will probably not draw until after I wake up tomorrow. There have been multiple years when someone didn't send out gifts until a day or two after Christmas, and while the idea is to send them out no later than Christmas, the important thing is that they were eventually sent out. I'm not going to blacklist you from future years or anything if it turns out you can't send them out until just after Christmas. At least you are upfront about the possibility.

Well, just to be on the safe side. I've never tried gifting from the mobile app before.

Hard deadline will be within the hour as I plan to draw and send out PMs before going to bed.

All PMs should have been sent out with everyone accounted for as a secret santa and recepient.

Remember that the sale doesn't begin until the 22nd, so take this extra time to come up with some preliminary gift packages or to reach out to other users or do research into their giftee to get a better idea of what to do. This is also now the time for anyone to clean up their wishlist by reordering and/or removing games.

I also want to reiterate that because we are a global community, there could be some issues into regional price differences. While it is a pain, I suggest that you find a game or combination of games that are not flagged in that manner, but if there is a game or games that you are deadset on giving and have issues completing the transaction, please let us know, and I'm sure someone can step up to help.

Also, some users like to buy their gifts early have it set up so their gifts are sent to the recepient on Christmas Eve or Day. As such, I hope that everyone can show some restraint in making purchases for themselves during the sale until they receive their gift(s) as a courtesy to their secret santa.

Between this and the first post, I think that covers everything.

TheRock did, absolutely, go over the spending limit and I greatly appreciate it!

The Cult of the Lamb was number one for me since it's that crazy rogue-like nonsense I love.

Neon White is a game I was excited to check out. Also seems like my brand of crazy.

GRIS is the artsy kind of game that I love breezing through.

Golfing With Friends is a fun little game I would love to bust out with some friends.

And then Metro: Last Light. For when I want to turn my brain off and shoot ugly things.

Azuarc went above and beyond in searching out some games not on my wishlist that all look interesting -

Renowned Explorers + some DLC - sort of a genre-mixing roguelike, adventure game with a little bit of Civ type elements added in, from what I can see

Dex - 2D action rpg platformer

Papers, Please - which I'm sure many are already familiar with, though I only ever tried the proof of concept demo years and years ago

CrossCode - which I've had my eye on for a long time on switch - probably most excited about this one as I've heard many good things

I looooove Renowned Explorers! It's really unique and tons of fun.

If anyone's worried about the spending limit and how everyone else seems to be going over, I did some bargain hunting and got all four of the games Changmas listed for $23. I've played three of them and know their value exceeds the price paid even by Steam sale standards.

I will be scheduling Steam gift(s) and DMing my elf some other goodies today.

Ill voice the sentiment that I dont think anyone should feel peer pressured into spending more than the recommended range. Once people start feeling like that, it kills the spirit of the entire thing!

I have received my gifts,

I have played Dwarf Fortress since way back, when you really didn't have an idea of what was where without making a map of your own. So needless to say getting Dwarf Fortress is huge, I look forward to sinking hours and hours to lose to flooding all over again. I am just a huge sucker for resource management.

Assassins Creed Valhalla is something that I have watched so many times in streams. It is a really intriguing thing and I can see myself vanishing into these games This and Odyssey when I get some downtime. Progression based games can be so rewarding in the long run.

The little bit I played of Shadow of Mordor, a while back, was super fun, so getting that and Shadow of War was awesome!

I played the shit outta Chrono Trigger many many years ago, and have not in a long time (had it on PS1 lol), so now having it at my disposal to get going again is super helpful!

I've always been intrigued by rogue-likes, and definitely need to spend more time on For The King. Have always been interested in Hades, especially after hearing how good it was as well.

That actually looks super interesting!

I do plan on getting a Steam Deck at some point soon, which I think will help my playtime on games I don't normally play at my computer.

I mean you can compliment your enemies to death. It's pretty great. It's a challenging game though, but it feels so satisfying when you get to the end of the adventure.
