Game Freak sticking to the rigid 3-year generation cycle despite a global pandemic causing delays and interruptions in practically every facet of life is just so dumb. 2022 should've been Arceus + DLC, with S/V coming out in holiday 2023. Even better if that meant it became a Switch 2 game.

I have been on the Internet long enough already to know that whenever a high profile game release, the Internet is full of vidoes and pictures of bugs, visual glitches, etc
And when I play the game myself I barely encounter any and realize that those are just rare cases and cherry picking

I hope that this is the same thing...

People do shit talk the Animation and graphics in both 3H games! They don't look great at all.

Odd timing for this take though since Engage looks like it's going to have very expressive animation!

I mean people still stand around for supports, but...win some you lose

I would also prefer actual art for supports rather than the models, but at least the models look better than before.

I like the 2D art but it would be better if there was a large cycle of portraits to go through. Instead of just like...3 expressions in the exact same pose.

Optimally we'd have 2D portraits with like a dozen diferent pictures for every character and moving mouths.

When Silvia says she likes it rough in FE4R I want it in the most pristine quality possible.

Engage doesn't even have the face picture, upsetting!

From the looks of things, outside of promo art, no 2D art rendering of these characters even exists. All the Twitter promos have been models.

We've seen very little menu stuff so maybe it's in there somewhere, but the art designer is a Vtuber designer so...probably not?

This is why I like the models a lot more than the portraits. The portraits straight up made the dialogue worse because they had to sometimes describe the action they just took. Sure, like 90% of the time it's the models standing around, but when they do need an animation they can actually do it.

Yeah it's not bothering me so far, but I only just made it to the first Pokemon Center. I've caught like 25 different Pokemon already. I discovered you can catch a Wattrel right away at Nemona's private beach. They seem kinda uncommon, but if you're lucky you can get one to fly close enough to target it with ZL and throw a ball to start a fight. The one I managed to catch was level 14 (and almost killed me), but levels of other Pokemon there seem to vary all the way down to level 2. Maybe Wattrel can be that low too.

So already caught that, Fidough, and Wooper for the things I plan to use long term.

I didn't even leave the house!

Sometimes when interacting with a object, after the text box disappears, the character just "floats" to the direction you pressed. No walking animation. It lasts barely half a second but it's noticeable

The other one is the camera in the lower part of the house when going towards the window and coming back to the front, it fails to follow the player for 2-3 seconds so I don't see my character for a few seconds
