Arguments for Peach:

• at first glance this may seem like a stomp for DK, but Peach, when playable, is actually a fairly adept fighter
• with her ultimate weapon, the FRYING PAN, she could do tons of damage
• she also has womanly emotional powers, a sentient parasol, and plenty of healing magic

Arguments for DK:

• seriously now, what are the odds of Peach actually putting up a fight?
• he outclasses her on durability
• if DK shoots Peach, it's gonna hurt

Last topic's battle between DK and yet another time traveler was deemed the rarest of outcomes, too close to call! Too many hypotheticals to ponder between the Terminator and the ape. Today might be more straightforward, but it also might not be - Peach, like many Mario characters, has a shockingly versatile toolkit and, if she actually puts up a fight, won't roll over like other damsels in distress. On the other hand, DK probably outclasses her in most aspects. So what gives? Is this another Mario universe fight worth seeing, or is Peach another Pauline?

If Peach feels like fighting she could win, maybe. She has a lot of weird powers.

Most likely she'll just helplessly whine and hope Mario comes to save her

I soloed Culex with her because of the Lazy Shell

Since DK knows Peach, I could see him letting his guard down or getting overconfident. He knows Peach from parties and kart racing and sporting events, but I don't think he's ever seen her fight before. If she becomes irritated at not being taken seriously, she could whack him with the frying pan or activate one of the Vibes or something.

Also, if she knows she's in a fight, the odds might be higher that she actually, well, puts up one. She's stood up to Bowser a few times and even defeated him in a fight on at least one canon occasion. The key question is will she actually start trying before it's too late?

I interpret these topics as the characters are fighting on their own unless they can naturally bring in outside help. Others have taken different interpretations, like that Bowser has minions he can summon. So it's really up to you.

DK wins easily.

Peach actually has a significant durability advantage here if we give her Lazy Shell (which is debatable as that's a universal piece of equipment rather than Peach-exclusive but, for the sake of argument, sure let's give it to her). Having that plus Calm Vibe essentially gives her passive regeneration and a sky high defense that DK CAN pierce, but not fast enough to outpace. Adding in her spells, especially the ones causing sleep, and it should be a win for Peach.

The issue being, while DK can't take out Lazy Shell Peach, she can't take out DK, either. Neither her vibes nor her MP is an infinite resource, and while I'm sure Psycho Bomb could deal SOME damage, Lazy Shell not only reduces her attacking power, but also her speed to the point where any sort of athleticism she's shown would be nullified. Eventually, the Lazy Shell becomes a walking coffin, as DK (unlike Culex) does not need to rely on a finite source of MP to win the day. At some point, DK could just pick Peach up, throw her in water, and she'd likely drown from being unable to breathe or swim up with the heavy armor on. Or would discard it and get one-shotted by DK.

That, unfortunately, is her win condition. Peach's durability is nowhere near enough to survive DK's punch without Lazy Shell, and even given a full power crit frying pan or psycho bomb, isn't gonna be enough to fell DK on the off chance she gets off Sleepy Time into her best stuff. It isn't impossible for Peach to win... but DK wins many, many more times than he loses, and Peach has zero guaranteed paths to victory.

Well since I nominated her I might as well put some defenses for her.

Peach is a lot stronger than she looks, while she's not as physically strong as DK or the Mario Bros. her strength is not to be underestimated, actually it probably will be given that she's a skinny girl but she does have superhuman strength way beyond normal humans.

She can lift up boulder enemies above her head and throw them with ease.

She Team Rocket'd Bowser just by smacking him with her parasol.

She can defeat metal clad minions of Smithy just by slapping them, and there's gorilla enemies that even look like DK that she can kill with her physical attacks alone. A normal human stands no chance against a gorilla but Peach can just slap these brutes away.

DK is definitely not going to shrug off her attacks if Bowser can't.

She's a lot more durable than she looks as well even without lazy shell. She tanks all sort of blades, beams, boulders, elemental magic, cannonballs and missiles ect in Mario RPG. I doubt DK would be able to one shot her consider what she endured fighting Smithy and Count Bleck's army as well as fighting Bowser directly in Super Princess Peach. If Bowser can't one shot her even as giant then no way DK can. And being able to heal herself is a cherry on top.

Peach is also almost as nimble as Mario and Luigi as shown in Mario 3D World, while she's not as fast as them DK has had trouble landing blows on Mario before just because of how agile he is, and what Peach lacks in speed she can make up by floating, or using a cat suit if that's allowed.

And Psych Bomb is another tip in her favor. Mario has beaten Donkey Kong with bombs before, why not Peach as well?

And the kicker is that Peach doesn't have to wait for DK to throw bombs, she can chuck them anytime she wants (as long as she has enough FP)

Though I think fight comes down more to how Peach feels since this is the same Peach that gets captured over and over again. Though if she does get agitated enough she's not afraid to scold the Mario Bros. to get out of her way.

I guess one advantage that DK has is that Peach can't understand his language so she won't know if DK insults her.

We already determined DK > Bowser IIRC. Bowser kidnaps Peach constantly which means presumably she can't put up a fight against him. Transitive property suggests she can't put up a fight against DK then.

Why she keeps gets captured by him... I dunno. Miyamoto just wants to keep the story simple moreso that Peach can't fight back. You'd think after 3D World she'd stop getting captured since she proved she can fight back against Bowser and and his army.

Personality is a factor and Luigi's skill set is a little different

I'm assuming all these arguments are coming from SMRPG, which I've never played. And in any other context, I feel like she gets stomped.

I've come to believe that Bowser doesn't actually capture Peach so much as she's got a weird fetish where she needs Mario to save her for her to get off. No kink shaming.

Since we're assuming DK gets all powers I'd say Peach gets all powers and I think that's enough for her to win. She puts him to sleep then hits him while rage vibing. Let's not forget, she's not only picked up boulders larger than her she's lifted up rocket ships that were buried underground in a single motion. Her in-game feats of strength are incredible. Having someone that strong smash you over the head with a frying pan while you're asleep? Not a good day for anybody. Having that person invincible and literally burning anything she touches makes that day even worse.

I feel like regardless of the strength of Peach's vibe powers, she's not gonna be able to unleash them all really at once, and the moment she puts damage on him he's gonna get angry and unleash his own power. And he's still a force. So I say DK Wins
