Not really, there's other reasons to say that I feel like

100% deny and all confirms spend too much time online/in t heir own heads/too derivative to help at all

I remember thinking this way about video games before I even really knew and understood what gay+trans actually were and meant. So no, can't agree there.

I'm not sure how the logic is supposed to follow, anyway. I don't think most gay or trans people would necessarily agree that what they are is some kind of "political" issue; they are not things that are up for debate.

Not always the case, but quite often true. Although as others have said, it can mean also mean "I don't like women" or "I don't like diversity" or etc along those lines. But if someone is complaining vaguely about "politics" or "political correctness" in games, it's usually a red flag.

I tried to think of some but had a hard time doing so. I guess my criticism regarding this is that it feels rare to see a minority type in the generic hero style. I might just not be thinking of all the examples and counter examples, but it kinda feels that way. Minority characters always need to have some unique gimmick that takes them out of the generic hero appearance. Idk. Just a feeling. I could very well be wrong.

Honestly, for me personally the only reason I don't want politics in games (and by that I mean, actual legit politics and not social stuff) it's because I get too much politics in real life, and games are means to escape from it. But I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with making a political game. They're just not for me.

Gay people exist and need hero MCs to help them with their fetch quests too. If someone who happens to be LGBT in real life asked these people for help with something would they just say "whoa why so political, I'm not going to help"?

The only way to normalize LGBTQ+ to the point of social apathy is to "shove it down everyone's throat".

Normalization isn't some random lucky dice roll. It requires an active, hard push.

Yep. The biggest cause of conservative views is lack of exposure to others who are different than themselves. Their way is the only way they know, so it must be the right way, which means others are wrong.

Then you start meeting people (for many the first time is in college) and they realize rhetoric like gay men being groomers or liberals drink the blood of newborns becomes as ridiculous as it is. People are people and our worldview shouldn't be shaped around hate for otherness.

I get your point. I find it funny when people see those NPCs and get mad about the pandering.

They clearly have an issue with the kind of people in question. They aren't playing Skyrim and typing up rants about corporate pandering and posting clips of the ham-fisted agenda when some woman asks Dovahkiin to find her husband's lost pants.

I take it more as "I want gameplay, not an overemphasis on story, realism, one-time novelties, appealing to social media and of course, long unskippable cinematic segments as the main selling points."

The easy solution is to just to not buy Sony games and build your blacklist from there. The difficult part is actively finding new games that're actually built to be fun and to last.

Oh no I'm fine with that, I just don't like games that actually deal with modern real life geopolitical drama. Even though I really liked call of duty 4, I generally didn't like the themes of modern warfare because they fit too well with the current situation in the world. It's a bit too depressing to me.

Stuff like metal gear solid is okay because it's pretty unrealistic while still making salient points about nuclear disarmament. But thinking back to Modern Warfare 2, the part where you take part in the airport shooting was just to depressing to me.
