MattcheteGuy 07/08/22 8:17:04 PM #151:	I watched a 30 minute short film made by ricky and julian before they did TPB and they kinda played the same characters but not really (super toned versions. ricky was "Rob" (with 1 b lol) and didn't act as dumb as ricky or use verbal rickyisms but he did say dumb shit from time to time like "I don't think there are any squirrels in Vancouver" and julian, though he was named Gary, was like "of course there are squirrels in Vancouver." Lahey was in it too and he was actually called Mr. Lahey (closed captions called him "Layhie" though for some reason). He played a drunk (but low-key, not wasted all the time Lahey) pet store owner and julian/gary's boss. It wasn't as funny as I expected so I got distracted a missed a bit of stuff when ricky/rob and julian/gary got drunk and high, but it ended with julian/gary getting arrested for pissing in public and realizing he was gay and ricky/rob was also gay and they went to vancouver together along with a cat (pet store cat that no one wanted to adopt so lahey/layhie told julian/gary to have him euthanized but julian/gary just took him instead) and although lahey/layhie had been an asshole, he came across as encouraging at the end and had a "follow your dreams" sounding approach but also I got distracted again so I wasn't paying attention through the entire scene and then it was over. --- What a friggin waste of a 7 dollar chicken! <cite>MattcheteGuy posted [p:966440064] in Drinking T... Seems like to an extent it was partially the basis for TPB. The 3rd producer/creator guy (Mike Clappenberg?) was also in the credits of it.
