Im liking this Pokmon/Ni No Kuni-ish event.

I have finally gathered all of the beetles for Cyno...I am free.

Mihoyo please don't give Dehya the beetles too. I don't know if I'm strong enough.

Beetles don't seem like her style. If anything, they probably give her the cactus flowers that Candace uses.

Or, y'know, mushrooms. Since everyone in Sumeru uses mushrooms.

Those cactus flowers also suck (why are they all so high up?) but Nahida's utility passive is a godsend. I've got plenty for Candace but I've been snapping them up when I see them just in case.

I think there's supposed to be new desert areas coming before Dehya, I presume she'll use something collectible from a desert area

Yae/Childe banner has Layla, Heizou and Thoma

Met Layla in the event and....not feeling the sleepy bit at all. I wouldn't mind Yae cons, but despite having none of those 4 *s, I have no interest in them.

Wanderer has barely even been announced, officially speaking.

This banner is really good for me. I haven't picked up Yae, who was originally my most-sought-after character during Inazuma until I found out she was pretty mid. Dendro makes her much more viable, and the 4-stars include a character I don't have, a character I barely have, and a new character. So none of the fours I pull will explicitly go to waste.

Layla is too normal. There's probably something somewhere in her backstory that makes her notable, but she just seems like some random student.

And Diona is just a bartender. Funny how similar their kits are.

Well good news is Layla and Wanderer both need Perpetual Caliber, so not a total waste.

I wasn't aware that Layla healed.

I want Layla C2 ideally for my Eula team (want to replace Diona), will be pulling a lot on the Yae banner though I'm very low on pity.

Still trying to catch up on the plots. 4* wise the new banner is solid for me, but also not sure I want to pull any

I did 50 pulls. Got an early Qiqi and one of both Heizou and Layla. Now I get to evaluate if I want to keep pulling for Yae or bail in favor of what comes next.

I got one Layla with around 120 wishes. All I wanted was her. Then I stopped. Wouldve probably done more pulls if she came early to get more dupes, but Mihoyo said nooooooope.

Looks like Ayato, Itto and Raiden reruns coming. Yawn

My 4* luck has been atrocious on this banner. Its like the game knows I C6d Heizou and Thoma so it keeps giving me them.

I only did 50 pulls because the 4*s were all pretty good, so I could build up pity to the next 5* I want. I wanna build up Heizou eventually and he was C3, and Thoma was C0.

...... the game gave me 5 Heizous.

I had C0 Thoma and no Heizou or Layla, so I was happy to continue past losing my 50/50 a bit. Stopped once I had gotten Layla, which was after two of the boys and Qiqi.

Anyway, how 'bout them new artifacts? Gonna need a set of the one for Kuki in hyperbloom, if nothing else.

I had been farming it a lot, but got garbage from it anyways. Is the new domain better for Kusanali too? Feel like I wasted time farming that domain for ages if so >_>

It's a pretty marginal upgrade. I normally wouldn't bother with the new domain just to improve Nahida, but I'm intending to roll Wanderer, so if I happen to pick up new pieces for Nahida on the way that would be fine.

For Buer (silly archons and their multiple names), it would depend on if you are only using blooms and she is the one creating them.

EDIT: as for the anemo set, I don't have a character for it, which means I don't really have a character for Faruzan to support either.

Same. And currently, Wanderer doesn't excite me. Maybe I'll change my mind later, but I certainly don't like Scara as a character, so it would take some pretty considerable mechanics to change my mind. Being able to "fly" is not enough.

Yeah. I farmed for Gilded Dreams and Deepwood Memories for my Dendro teams so anything I get farming for the new Anemo set for Wanderer will be extra gravy. Maybe I might switch some sets around depending on my luck farming.

Honestly Kuki will probably still be fine with Gilded Dreams, it gives her soooo much EM

Ill just summon to see if I can get Layla or Heizou. Less than 20 pulls since I got Nahida I get a Yae C. Also got Bennett randomly (past C6 anyways) and a Thoma C. Did not expect a 5* so soon. The Sumeru patch banners are being kind to me 5* wise

Meta talk has always been pretty annoying, though maybe that's because the characters I like aren't ever at the top. If only I gave a shit about Kazuha

I pretty much ignore meta talk since its pointless anyways. All using meta does is let you clear stuff faster to gloat online. I just use whatever I want

The characters who dominate meta talk in this game are the busted supports, so I don't think Scaramouche is going to apply.

I guess the exception is Hu Tao but even the obsession with her has died down since a year ago now that there's plenty of respectable DPS options (and also the real meta is that Yelan carries her best team. busted supports.)

But you REALLY shouldn't hope he's terrible if you don't want to hear about him because his stans will never shut up about him. Just hope he is low-key great but not insane, like Itto.

Im not impressed with his kit. Fully expected him to use his hat as a weapon.

What the actual fuck is going on. That Yae C1 I got was 19 after Nahida so Im like sure a couple more shots at Layla cant hurt since that was a super early pity.

I got Layla pretty quickly after that Yae too. Not pulling anymore.

I mean, I don't obey top meta picks, but I listen to it because that's where you get actual game advice.

And I don't love Kazuha, but I don't mind him, either. I picked him up on the second pass even though I don't run him super often. But he's a chill dude. By contrast, I actively dislike Scaramouche. I don't want to look at him. I don't want to hear him. He's just a short, angry anemo man, and we already have Xiao (who I also actively avoid.)

I think you have the wrong pyro polearm girl. I don't hear about Hu Tao any more than I do Ayaka or post-Ayaka Ganyu, and I presume it's actually less.

Well it might be because Hu Tao hasn't had a rerun in over a year and people are talking about her more. Also, her and Xiangling go in very similar teams and get talked about a pretty similar amount considering if you don't use one you're probably using the other. They both get used about as twice as much as Ganyu and Ayaka.

Xiangling has 18 billion different national variants and sees play in other teams as a support. Hu Tao basically has one team -- Hu Tao + Xingqiu + Flex. Considering that, I don't think she gets any more press than the cryo waifus. Though, TBF, neither pyro nor cryo is the haute du jour since they don't factor into the "dendro meta" very well. These days, you're far more likely to hear about electro and hydro characters.

Well, National is pretty much one team too, it's just the flex spot is the 5-star carry so she shows up as a recommended sub-dps for pretty much everyone lol. But the same is true for Xingqiu and Bennet, they're all busted support units everyone can get. It's support impact.

So since even more characters have come out has anything updated who the best team members for characters are? Im curious who Eulas best partners are now since I doubt Beidou makes the cut over Kuki now? Not even sure if Rosaria is still one of her best partners either.

I know Raiden is good with her, people have been pretty big on Layla as her cryo buddy too. Her shield is apparently pretty good, although I don't know how bad she needs cons. You lose Diona's healing but maybe Layla + Kuki is good?
