I heard good things about donkey kong tropical freeze. Links awakening was fun and doesnt suffer for the problems botw does with a huge amount of nothing. Smash bros is always a big attraction if youre into that.

I think I'll look into the xenoblade games.

For D2R did they had shared stash with that one or no?

Nice. I used to play modded d2 on the PC until I ruined it by duping items. Once I had all the good runewords it was like, what's the point.

Even with all these games, I will concede that fact that if Nintendo gave people what they wanted, theyd have the best system on the market.

Yeah, I mean they made motion controls with systems since the cube where some games its impossible to play while laying on the sofa. Like Skyward Sword on the Wii, bet you can't play that 100% while laying on the sofa.

And then they made the Switch their portable system, you know when they were the king for road trips, Gameboy advance SPs all the way to the 3ds had the power to last until your destination. Switch? Your lucky if you have enough power to make it out of your city if you live in a big one.

Nintendo is a joke and I don't see how people continue to give them praise.

Because not everybody wants the same thing. For example, I dont think I play any game while comfortably laying in the sofa. And they did have other games that you could play without motion controls. Naming a few that you cant doesnt really mean much

And the switch does have car chargers. I think they were like $10. That said, I never had that much trouble playing my switch on the go. I usually have enough to last me for a while. Probably not a whole road trip. But with a car charger, it could last

I give them praise because I get what I want. Which is game that are fun to me You may like different types of games, and thats fine. But its all subjective when it comes to gaming

idk my switch is my most played console

and my vita but that's a handheld

but i love the switch because i exclusively play it as a handheld and i prefer handhelds.

Why is this such a thing.

Just play the games you want to play and stop over analyzing this.

I have a whole tab devoted to runes, another for gems and jewels.. then uniques I think Ill use later or good bases for future runewords. You still end up making a lot of guys to use as mules, unfortunately.

For starters they should release their entire library for the gba. As much as I hate their new NSO business model so many people would buy those games again, including me.

Yeah I am a collector and I will never understand game companies who do dungeon crawlers or loot games and give you limited storage.

Thats my biggest problem with the diablo games and the Borderland games. I mean, why have all those items/guns in a game if I can only hold less than 1% of them.

No I am just being like a father who found out their kid likes In-n-out and trying to find a way to salvage the relationship.

i feel like if i'd read more posts in this topic i'd be meaner to tc than i am

but at this point i just want people to play xenoblade and rf5

(RF5 and xenoblade 2 have massive performance issues btw. 30fps max, and it barely ever reaches that. 5s-30s loading times when on modern consoles you'd expect 1s-5s. they try way too hard for a pretty open world experience. cant speak for Xenoblade 1 cuz i got it on the wii but its probably similar.)

(tho let it be known, Xenoblade 1 is my 2nd favorite game ever. 1st favorite is Rune Factory 4, available on steam and switch. and fyi Rune Factory 5 rehashes 95% of RF4's systems so uhhhhhh go buy RF4S on steam first and make sure u can tolerate it before u RF5)

not in regards too Nintendo making absolute trash lately. Cube was their last good system. since then they rely on stupid gimmicks to sell systems and take quality to the VERY back of the bus.

Some of the Switch entries in their long-standing series are easily on par with everything else they've done, though, if not better. BotW's a bit hit-or-miss because of the shift to an open world design that isn't necessarily what longtime series fans want from a Zelda game, but Odyssey is arguably the best 3D Mario (which is a bar that Galaxy 1/2 already set very high), MK8 is the best Mario Kart (especially with all the content of Deluxe added in)... This "they did something with the system other than just making a more powerful gamecube and all their games have sucked since" attitude isn't one that particularly aligns with reality.

I didn't particularly have a problem with it. All you have to do with most such games is make small gestures with your wrist; there's no need to stand up and make sweeping arm gestures or anything like that (and, in fact, those who do are going to have a problem with a lot of the motion detection). Even with the games where you need to aim at the screen, you can very easily do that with your hand resting in your lap.

If anything, I actually find Wiichucks (and, to an even greater extent, Joycons) to be some of the best controllers for lounging because you can just drape your arms wherever you want them instead of needing to keep your hands 6-8 inches apart at all times. There are other ergonomic/functional issues that offset that benefit (mostly the former for joycons, the latter for wiichucks), certainly, but their lounging potential is unmatched.

Switch battery life is usually 2-5 hours from a full charge, with very few games occupying the 2-hour end of that (Diablo 3 is the only one I can think of where I actually noticed battery power being an issue). By comparison, you generally wouldn't get much more than about 10-15 on older systems, getting progressively worse the newer you get (3DS is generally 8-10ish). That's mostly just the nature of battery technology: the capacity of portable batteries has not evolved as quickly as the power demands of portable devices. This is also why I have to charge my smartphone every 1-2 days, compared to my old flip phone (2011-2019, retired because the hinge was breaking) usually getting a week off of a full charge. You can't really blame Nintendo for not coming up with miracle batteries that can do what no other electronics company has achieved.

The internet's in front of you. Find out if anything is interesting to you, ask about it online, and see what people tell you. Watch some gameplay vids of it on YouTube.

Do your homework.

I dug my gba out a couple days ago to play Advance Wars 2 and first things I immediately noticed but forgot about were no battery life indicator (minus that infamous red light that gives you a minute before it shuts off) and the lack of a headphone jack. Kind of important QoL features we take for granted now.
