Can someone tell me some great games on it to look at? Looking at their "Best sellers" on their estore is just them shoveling their own shitty over milked BS.

Obviously zelda botw. Then you got mario odysee and mario kart. My wife likes animal crossing. And that's pretty much all I can think of off the top of the dome.

Ive heard they have a good selection of classic games from older consoles.

If you need to be convinced at this point, it's probably not going to be for you.

There are some crossover games; it depends what systems you already have. BOTW is the big one. Hollow Knight is solid. Dragon Quest XI, maybe.

Not sure what kind of games you like...

Edit: If you don't like BotW then the options get thin. Take a look at Hollow Knight anyways.

I would prefer games that aren't on PC, I am not normally a console kinda guy but got the switch from my last job when they first came out since the company gave one to all the employees.

I suppose that rules out Undertale also.

Hard to say. It depends on what games you like. I could tell you games I like, but I think it might fit the over milked bullshit So, Im not sure it would help. They do have plenty of fun roguelikes/roguelites (I get those two confused often)

If you honestly think Nintendo franchises are over milked bull shit (weird take when games like Odyssey and BotW are still quality titles but ok), then no games I list are going to matter anyway. Just sell it then.

Looking for switch Exclusives outside of the "Overmilked Bullshit" then you're not going to really find it. Everything is almost always Switch/PC or Switch/Ps4.

It was a tier 2 telco that provided service to <insert game company> call center.... can't say more.

Mario tennis is awesome. Replaying assassins creed brotherhood also. Pokmon arceus is pretty good. Mario soccer coming out soonish. Switch sports gonna come out at the end of next month.

still no Netflix though..

I will say that some of the PC ports might be good since you can play in the go, if that suits your fancy

At this point I am okay with that. I have Stardew valley on it but I lose interest in that game quick. I have two of the pokemon that I didn't like compared to the earlier stuff. I thought Botw was trash, big empty world with the only reason to explore was 90 second mini dungeons and small grade school puzzles for literal pieces of shit, I have Mario kart and its just like the 7 before it just as trashy rubber band mechanics with boxes that prove the programmers have no idea what "random" means. and a couple of the other switch titles.

If thats ok, then I could recommend stuff like Binding of Isaac, Neon Abyss Enter/Exit the Gungeon, Invisible Inc., Rogue Legacy, Hades, Dead Cells, Crypt of the NecroDancer, Cadence of Hyrule, and many of games like that. They also have Astral Chains as a new IP, if you like stuff like that. While the gameplay of Donut County wasnt really anything new or special, I had a couple laughs in the story. They are also a few rhythm games, if you like those. I also enjoyed the Danganronpa series, though that makes sense as its my third favorite series. And Phoenix Wright is my second, which they also have quite a few of in the system They are a ton of other unique and fun indie games. You just have to find them. I could probably show you my collection of games at some point. But Id need to take a ton of pictures. But I could go on to name a lot

It can be fun. I think it will get boring if you dont work towards something. Thats usually when I get the most fun out of it Or making my own story while playing it. But it also could just be a game that doesnt interest you enough

I personally enjoyed it, but I also love every Zelda. While most of the shrines were short (though there were some longer ones), it wasnt too bad. I actually liked it a little compared to a dungeon full of them where I basically had to finish the dungeon before doing other stuff. That said, the puzzles were about the same as the other games. So, Idk what to tell you about that. And while many parts of the world are empty, it fits the story. And the theories are pretty good

I will say that the rubber-banding can get bad. But its a fun multiplayer game. And honestly, Id probably get bored if they never started to catch up if I was super far in the lead

Not to sound rude, but it kind of sounds like youre not really looking for games. It sounds more like you want to shit on Nintendo instead. You shouldnt have to force yourself to like the switch. If you dont like it, selling it is always an option. Or even giving it to someone close. Or not using it at all. I mean, it didnt even cost you anything

I am honestly looking for games. but Nintendo only knows how to release the same BS over and over. I mean look at that new Pokemon game, PS2 games have better graphics than that. And honestly the only way I can see someone liking any of the newer zelda games is if they are so blind by the way they used to be. Hell I would rather play the buggy Fallout MMO than play BotW again, at least it had interesting reasons to explore.

Idk. I like most Zelda games (not Zelda II, though). And I reply them often. And I still had fun with the newer ones. The series is my favorite series I think people just expect way too much if they dont like the newer ones, tbh And BotW had interesting things to explore. But it probably isnt interesting to everyone I had a lot of fun. And I remember watching a ton of theories that talked more about things I may not have known about. Or places I missed/hadnt seen yet And Nintendo is probably going to keep doing what theyre doing. They have IPs that people like, and keep using them. They release new ones every so often. So, if you dont like what theyre doing now, then it might be time to get rid of the switch. I dont really see them changing anytime soon

not in regards too Nintendo making absolute trash lately. Cube was their last good system. since then they rely on stupid gimmicks to sell systems and take quality to the VERY back of the bus.

That would be the poor attitude I believe hes talking about. If you dont like it, then you dont like it. Many of us still like Nintendo and their games. Some of these aren't exclusives, but for my money:

Zelda BotW
Disgea 5
Diablo 2
Three Houses
Triangle Strategy (a new sRPG, and surprisingly good once you get over that it's 60-70% story and cutscenes)

There are also lots of indies I bought for it, which is nice- Crown Trick, Hollow Knight, Enter the Gungeon, etc

That being said the Animal Crossing for it kind of sucks, not nearly on par with New Leaf. That's the biggest disappointment I've had with it as far as software goes.

Many people do, but here're the big differences IMO:

Roguelikes usually have to have at least

• Permadeath
• Procedurally Randomized Dungeons / Loot
• Turn-Based / Tile-Based Gameplay

Roguelites on the other hand usually incorporate one or more of these elements into another genre

• Spelunky is an action platformer with randomized dungeons / loot and permadeath
• Binding of Issac and Enter the Gungeon are overhead action deals also with randomized dungeons / loot and permadeath

Almost all the roguelites I've seen are action-y. A defining aspect of any roguelike though is that you have all the time in the world to contemplate and make your moves, like chess I suppose. I think with the tremendous success of games like Spelunky and BoI where they were (incorrectly) classified as roguelikes made it tough for some to find more traditional roguelikes now, as many roguelites are being misidentified as roguelikes.

What would possibly compell you to buy a Nintnedo console if you don't like the first party games? There's nothing else on there that can't be played better somewhere else.

A lot of people dont seem to be reading. Just to let others know, he did not buy a switch. He received one

Diablo 2 ressurected is on switch which means portable, could be worth it to many (If I ever left my house I'd probably like it).

My friends favorite way to play Skyrim is on the switch (have not tried it myself).

They have a new ultimate alliance game on the switch if you liked those (fun on the go as well).

I'm not a fan but a ton of people (Even a bunch on this board I think) play animal crossing. Not sure if it's for you, but like pokemon it seems insanely popular.

The main thing i'd look for is games you would enjoy playing while not at home, that you play at home normally, since there are a bunch like that you can play on the switch. Some games like Skyrim use the controls to let you semi play in VR (without the annoying headseat) so you can basically swing your sword etc. There are others like that as well I hear.

For me it's almost worth it just to have a portable D2 system honestly but I am so backlogged with other games and I never go out, that it doesn't matter right now. Even though the game is dated, I still have played it alot in the last year, and it would be up there as one of my favorite possible portable games by far.
