Anyone using the Death's Poker? I've seen some videos saying it's the most OP thing right now.

Its carried me through a few fights and areas because of the weapon art. All the bs in Elphael minus the boss, Placidusux (sp?), the evergaol where you get Tiche, Malekith, the Draconic Sentinel in front of Malekith, etc. I only have Moonveil, that, and the rot rapier at their highest levels because of how solid they are

It's useless in pvp though because the WA is slow unless you run into newbies who don't know about it

idk how to feel about builds being nerfed if they're not bothering anyone in pvp

I have two remembrances so far: Godrick and Rennala. I have come across shrines that let me duplicate these remembrances. Which remembrances are worthy of duplication or should I just turn them all in to the Two Fingers room?

Depends on build or what you really want. Ive used 3 of them so far. Rykard, Malenia and Rennala.

I have to say that I do feel a little bit cheating when using summons and NPC summons. Probably silly tho.

First playthrough is about overcoming. Like the other poster said, by any means necessary. Try not using them on your next play.

If your weapon already has another weapon type to it you can't override it.

A friend and I spent like 3 hours pvping in Liurna. 2 of us, and then I used the tongue so that I could get invaded by 2 people at the same time. I was level 50 on that character with no weapon upgrades, but I did trade over some weapons that you don't get until Altus or Mountaintop of the Giants.

We went like 60-3. It was 1v1s up until my first death where my friend lost and the guy he was fighting snuck up on me while I was fighting the second invader. So after that I just said fuck it and did 1v1, 2v1, whatever would kill invaders. Second death was because of an unusual hitbox from a sorcerer where I was behind cover and still took a spell to the face. Third death I let myself get killed because of potato servers (or opponent internet if it's p2p) where I would hit a guy and no exaggeration, it took like 4 seconds for hits to register. He'd be 10 feet from me after an exchange and then phantom hit.

But in summary, Bloodhound step + dual whips + blood talisman is OP for pvp pls don't nerf

I'm actually learning more about the mechanics of different damage types in this game now that I've beaten everything just through throwing myself at it repeatedly. I beat 90% of it just with a flame longsword.

I think I might try a poison/rot build and do another playthrough. I should be able to cheese a lot of enemies that way.

You don't actually need to have them in your inventory to dupe them with the walking mausoleum thingies. Just so long as you've gotten them on that playthrough you should have the option to dupe a Remembrance you've had before.

Armor doesn't make that big a difference and I heard poise is virtually meaningless below 70 (which is basically your heaviest armors, and iirc there's a poise talisman, but it's not worth a slot).

Shit, I run around with Marika and radagon soreseals on and it's not even really noticeable.

Armor makes a pretty big difference since many have stat boosting like sorcery damage and bleed effects.

Insanely wrong. 51/55 is meta poise for PvP and talisman is % based, making it extremely strong at higher base poise (Veterans/Bull Goat Armor) but yes it's bad at lower poise.

Rogiers set increased your magic damage by a decent amount, the white mask makes bleed even stronger and there are several other helmets that increase stats/damages. Raptor armor makes your jumping attacks even better (it+White Mask+Exultation+Winged Insignia) with jumping L1 power stances absolutely melts shit.

I just wanna be on top of my game without seeing this silly feathery helmet

Feels like having higher poise in the mid 40s/50s range has been helping me out pretty well on the pve side of things. I went through the majority of the game rocking the lighter vulgar militia set and with something like that someone breathing on your ear staggers you out of everything, but lately I slapped on great-jar aersenal and erdtree's favor talismans (alongside the ragagon's soreseal and using godrick's great rune) while using the tankier stuff like the cleanrot and crucible armor and being able to take like 2 or 3 hits without being interrupted from enemies like those nightmaidens is pretty noticeable.

I'm running a sorcerer build and have Rogier's set but I'm running the 2 head mask instead of his hat because of the boost to intellect. Would it be better to run his hat instead damage wise?

Got the Death Poker and yeah it's a mob killer. Haven't used it on bosses yet but looks incredibly ez.

There are some good armor pieces depending on your build like that Surgeon mask which boosts attack whenever an enemy bleeds(I assume the Talisman's better though), the Azur/Lusat helmets which boost their specific spells, and the jumping attack chest piece.

I'm just rocking the Crucible Tree set for fashion though. I haven't found a mixed set I like in terms of visuals yet.

Combined with the weapon art fp deduction and restore fp on riposte talismans, glintblade phalanx becomes a beast among beasts.

yep.. i tried it out shortly after patch 1.03 came out and die just setting a foot off the 2nd root down wtf (so 3rd red line top to bottom is instant death)

i wonder if there is a "correct" way to get down there. maybe some hidden staircase that goes below or a teleporter in some random place. idk . i tried rolling all over the beastial sanctum and found nothing

i'm pretty sure all smithing stones except the very last ones required are infinite, you just need to find their bell bearings to give to the shop statue thing, so until you get those, i'd think carefully about which weapons you want to upgrade, but there should be enough for a few different ones up until then

I finally beat Malenia, still hate the fight. Got transported back to the grace for some reason. Came back in and she is the Scarlet Bloom again? And I did Millicent's questline so I had the needle. Got the Miquella one and...that's it? Is there nothing else here? So many deaths

I spent so long fighting the two Crucible Knights in Auriza Hero's Tomb. Finally beat them with some great Moonveil Katana magic and a lot of patience. Fucking bitches. The Draconic Tree Sentinel was much easier, yet gives more runes. lol

Anyways, the Capitol feels too much like an end game area for me, so I think I'll go elsewhere. I have 109 hours in the game, and have only beaten Godrick and Rennala so far. >_>

Yeah despite finding a way up there, I didn't explore the Altus Plateau. I went to Stinkyland first.

I have this thing where if I find a way into an area, I try and explore as much as I can. I went way off in the fucking far reaches of the world really early on, and found random enemies that were giving me 1,000 runes per kill when the rest were only giving 30 to 70. Decided to find another way to go. I still need to go back to the underwater river area, but I don't want to go back there until I beat the next Demi god.

So I got the twinblade

And I really really like it lol

Up until now my character has been heavy load with a big shield and a greatsword. Basically tanking whatever then staggering enemies and hacking away.

But now I'm like oh shit I kinda wanna put on some lighter armor, drop my shield, and just both hand the twinblade. Jumping around and cutting through pull all quicklike is super nice lol.

But now I'm like is it at all feasible to focus on both moving forward? Have the twinblade for certain situations where moving quick is advantageous then busting out the shield/greatsword combo if I find an enemy I need to tank?

If the weapons scale to your stats and you meet the minimum I don't see why not. You're able to modify standard weapons to scale to different stats once they're at 5+ too.
