I just cut the PS5 on, chilllin on the dashboard and whatnot for a bit and came across this stream under the explore tab and from the playstation community.....he is having mad trouble against the beast clergyman boss at crumbling azura (neither he nor his mimic tear can last longer than 20 seconds. He keeps trying to use that beam sorcery that you normally see dudes obliterate bosses with on youtube but he does not really have the stats and equipment to actually make it viable. Only like two casts before he is out of FP and the damage is crazy low), but the thing that surprises me the most about this dude is that he apparently been rocking a heavy equip load through the entire game.....how in lord's name someone can make it that far fat rolling and with every other enemy breaking your guard because of the poor equip load I have no idea:

I went from death knight moose to noble muh lady ranni knight moose. Welp, my first time going into Leyndell and this area looks massive...wish me luck, lol.

Just took down all the Bell Bearing Hunters. They are no joke. They do not stagger no matter what kinda heavy damage I did to them. Had to cheese them with my Death Poker flames.

Um I imagine there is a boss in the underground area where you access the forest. We're looking for some city but like it just feels luke warm to journey that far and not have even a boss fight. Am I missing something? I got the map but I can't tell where one would be.

Beat Mohg and Fire Giant. I think I'm almost done? All I have left is the last section of the Haligtree and after the forge stuff.

Trying to run up on the Ancestral Spirit with the Brick Hammer was almost hair pulling. I couldn't hit it while locked on, and I couldn't dodge properly while not locked on.

Well Valiant Gargoyle by a leap is probably the worst fight I've seen thus far. I won probably in less time than Radahn pre-nerf, but I enjoyed it significantly less somehow. Unclear poison smog hitbox that lasts forever and stretches really far, double boss garbage on top of it all.

There's so much waste of time in this shit fight. You'd think there's a way to wave away the smoke perhaps, which would be fair because it would still put you in attacking motion thus retaliation.

I mean once one dies, the other is easy, but one dying happens so rarely, and the other one has harder attack patterns. You probably spent a bunch of heals dealing with poison and being sideswiped by the duo boss pattern, so by the time you're on a 1v1, you might still fail due to not knowing the patterns.

Everything about this fight was just hateful. I get it's optional but that's a poor excuse for just shoving in a boring content at the end of otherwise a pretty fun segment.

Got her to her second phase on the third attempt and she just wouldn't get off my ass. I dodged her flower attack easily but after that she was just all up in my ass crack for like a full 6 seconds and I couldn't dodge and block all of that

Theres gotta be cheese strategies for beating her, second form is nearly impossible with how fast she is and how much she heals per hit.

Lmao. So I bought the game for my wife, she's never played a FromSoft game before, and it was like pulling teeth to get her to try it.

Started a new character with her, she ragequit in under an hour because we continually got invaded, in early Limgrave, by twinked recusants (meaning Volcano Manor progress), with Malenia/Malekith sets, Rivers of Blood, etc. It got old really quick, so I switched over to my lv 210 main, and even though stats scaled way down, I'm one shotting every invader that shows up.

Also, does anyone know why our connection goes to absolute shit when we get invaded? It's fine when it's just me and her, but the second we get invaded, it's rubber band city.

Those are the invaders i despise. Im gonna invade people that dont know what they're doing.

For the invader quest to get the reusable invasion item and visit Mohg, I just insta-yeeted myself off the nearest cliff 5 times when I invaded because invaders also annoy the shit out of me, even though I have done pvp a lot in the Souls series. They always talk about how it's unfair with the player having 2x the flasks they do and help from other players, and then completely ignore how they hide behind hordes of enemies that can kill the player if they don't pay attention for more than a couple of seconds. I did invade as a purple in Dark Souls 3 to fight off other invaders and help whoever was playing as much as I could.

But yeah whenever I see somebody on Reddit complaining about getting ganked when they invade, I feel zero sympathy for them especially since they already have a duel system already set up. I hope they get Moonveil'd into oblivion by all of the newbies. The twink bleed character I made (White Mask and unleveled mid to end game weapons I traded over and save scummed from my main) is just for low level 2v2 pvp for now and I don't plan on griefing any pvers with it

How do you duel, instead of regular invading

There's an item that allows you to put down a red sign. So anybody who summons you from that should be planning on fighting you from the get go

That does carry the risk of getting legit ganked though. Where it's a 2 or 3 main squad waiting to beat the shit out of one person

Up to level 111 or something now. I'm getting my "throwaway stats" to numbers divisible by 5 before I start putting points in things that are softcapped like Strength and Vigor/Vitality.

I think I'll be taking on the Capital today and after that hunting my third target for the volcano manor quest and finishing Volcano Manor.

Questions for my strength/faith boys:

1. What weapon you running?
2. How much mind do you have?
3. How are your other stats doing (health, end)

Honestly why? I appreciate what they tried to do but dont miss them. They were intended to be methods for players to roleplay but hardly anyone does so and they ended up just being fleeting barriers to items.

Because it gave rewards for doing coop and invasions. Covenant of Champions was also a fun optional difficulty setting

I never really cared about the covenants, id just join as many as i could to get free stuff

tbh I don't miss farming for Proof of a Concord Kept

Only received it if the host actually makes it to the boss room. So it was mostly a waste of time because you only get summoned after people were invaded, everybody and their grandma was waiting in the queue to get summoned, and there were a ton of ways for the host to die before the boss room

Edit: I misremembered, you also get them for killing the invader. But the queue was the main problem where it was faster to farm for the 1% drop than wait hours to get summoned and hope that the host didn't die before you run to them. And having that tied to an achievement sucked donkey dick, so honestly I used cheat engine just for that one thing to dupe items after getting roughly halfway through it legit.

If this is the same turtle that I am thinkin' about when I did this rise place yesterday, then that turtle for whatever reason kills itself and is already counted among the turtles needed to break that seal. I was looking around for that turtle for like 15 minutes before I read a comment (helpful youtube comments, the world is changing I tell you what) saying that it already counted for some reason.

At a crossroads rn. Got my Lordsworn Greatsword at +3 and my Twinblade at +3, dunno which to focus on moving forward

Youll get enough fixed smithing stone drops to keep 2-3 weapons reliably upgraded as you progress through the game if youre fairly thorough with exploring, then at a certain point youll be able to just buy everything except the +10 somber and +25 regular materials

To add to that, I was rocking both an Uchigatana and a Nightrider's Flail, both of which require Smithings, and I'm able to get them up to the teens with what I have right now without any real grinding, just normal exploration.

If you want to do like five or six regular weapons, that might be more difficult.
