I really do not like Kommo-o's scales.

Today is extremely strong. Garchomp, Dragapult and Goodra are my 3rd, 4th and 5th favourite Pokemon to appear in the entire project so far. All on the same day.

How am I Dragapult's first vote?

Probably an unpopular opinion but Dragonite is one of the worst gen 1 designs (and Salamence is a pretty bad gen 3 design too!)

The rest are pretty solid though.

Salamence, easily one of my favorite Pokemon.

Dragonite is a good design in a vacuum, it just doesn't fit as an evolution from Dragonair. The latter is a graceful, mystical kind of dragon while the former is like an 80s children's cartoon dragon.

Salamence is decent but gets outshined by Garchomp as the Serious Dragon archetype.

All of these are great (but I went with Tyranitar)

Goodra is one of my top 10. Sometimes top 5 but honestly all of my top 10 switch around constantly.

Dragonite is just outside my top 10.

For me, Tyranitar's king. But during the first five generations - the ones for which I was faithful to the series - "pseudo-legendary" was synonymous with "cool". Every one of them is no less than a first-rate Pokmon; Even when the designs started going down the drain, one could count on the pseudo-legendaries to deliver. And I see even in the generations post-break, they didn't suffer as badly as the average Pokmon did (well....not as badly).

I never noticed Dragapult's weird baby feet until today.

Tyranitar today, pretty solid all around group but T-Tar is just one of the best "destructive monster" Pokemon around. Great way of softening the kaiju aesthetic into Pokemon's art design.

No real wrong choice here except Salamence imo. Was never a fan of that line

I voted for Dratini

This may come as a shocker to you, but some people just casually prefer early Pokemon designs, and the people who take the time to post are going to be the people with strong opinions they want to justify. The stuffing claims are completely absurd

Salamence has a great 3d model that moved him way up for me. Went from whatever to a top 10 for me. Metagross is a really strong one too. I'm actually surprised he is doing so well. I thought garchomp would run away with this, he just seems like he should. I guess Dragonite being so meh has really made this a close match.

I voted for Dratini. It's the standout purely because it's such a better design than Dragonite, and most others are just watered down fully evolved pseudo legendaries.

The vast majority of people who vote in this topic series don't post. This holds true no matter what gen is winning.

Also, I just checked the topic and 3 other people said they voted for Dratini. Two said it was their second favorite. This is in line with the other Pokemon who weren't Goomy, which was the posting favorite - supporting my point that people who post are people with opinions they want to justify.

it's not like i think there's only a votestuffer for this one line, in fact i like dratini/dragonair over like half their counterparts in these polls (its just dragonite that really sucks). topic polls are easily abusable and it's naive to think otherwise. maybe every poll has been completely authentic who knows. i dont really care that much, it was just an observation that you have taken far too personally for whatever reason

Hydreigon has the best name in the franchise, but Garchomp is just... the guy. Too good.

Hydreigon has somehow ended up in my endgame team most gens he's been available, except near the end of Sword when I dropped him for the amount I was getting murdered by Moonblast.

Easily my #1 fave of the batch.

Most of these are very great. Goodra is bad though, while Dragonite and Kommo-o aren't that interesting either.

I'm having a hard time voting between all the others.

Dratini is my favorite from the last three topics, so theres that.

Except that's not true because it establishes that Dratini is generally well liked even if it isn't some peoples favorite.

Meaning that it would be even less surprising that it won.
I didn't vote in that day at all because I missed the topic but I also would have voted Dratini if I saw that day.

Voted for Garchomp but I like all of these. Still no idea why Tyranitar went completely unfeatured in GSC despite the last elite 4 member being a damn dark specialist that would have been perfect to have it

Garchomp, but it has a lot of competition here. Tyranitar, Metagross, or Hydreigon would be my pick on a lot of days.

Lots of great choices today. I used to dislike Hydreigon, but I've really come around on it lately for some reason. Metagross is my vote, but shout-out to Dragapult and Garchomp too.

As for the stuffing talk, I've just assumed this has been kinda stuffed since the start, so don't take the results too seriously. 100+ legit votes every day seems a bit unlikely for this board, but there's been no obvious stuffing trend or anything that I've noticed. I think any gen 1 bias is just... people liking gen 1 pokes! In the recent fighting poll none of the gen 1s even made top 3, and if someone were stuffing Dratini I figure they would've had it actually win so *shrug* I'm not too concerned.

Missed the vote but still baffled by the Kommo-o hate, it's such an easy winner here.
