It's just a game, take a chill pill lol. People are wrong all the time about stuff

Like I think one of the things that has mellowed me out about mafia is playing in champ games against some of the very best people and seeing how solved of a game mafia really is. Like, the very best town players are almost always going to beat the very best scum players in fair setups. So stuff with crazy roles with people who arent' world class isn't anything to be upset about. It's a silly role, people made silly mistakes, its okay to just have fun until you die

Crescent, there is no nice way to say this. If you're actually town and you haven't figured out how obvious this is, if you're actually willing to kill town over a CLAIMED THIRD PARTY, you are garbage and should not play mafia ever again. This is in no way difficult.

I don't care about the high activity level of bad players when they did nothing to help prevent uncountered protection from dying on day one. That was so terrible, and I said as much at the time. You know, the town bulletproof that said right when he claimed that my role probably goes with his, because BP + BG in 13 is balanced?

And then you try calling Chris of all people useless? WTF have you ever done on here in or out of mafia? Granted that trashy lynch wasn't just you, but you're the only one dumb enough to try arguing with me about it.

The sad thing is it gives me town reads on you (no scum that playing this badly would ever be openly moronic enough to call Chris useless) so the game is probably stuck dealing with more of your, um... "reads".

Chris has been useless this game.

I don't trust an Ulti that calls himself confirmed town and I never will. You did this for 5 days in BFZ, and I was the only one in the game who had you pegged as scum and no one gave a crap. I press you and make my own reads. It's the most productive thing I can do today when I'm practically carrying the activity.

But really, think back to my initial reaction on Mike's claim. If I were going to lynch you, I'd need some convincing beyond all this tin foil hatting.

Ok you quite literally just said the opposite when I called you out.

But really here's my deal:

I feel no level of certainty that you are town. I do break down as town. I had a massive one in one of my most recent games, and intentionally got myself killed. Good scum players know that if I get frustrated enough as town, bad things happen to the game. I don't know for sure what your motive actually was here.

But, for all I know Mike is some Indy with a weirdass wincon that screws us all.

To be fair, I claimed a ?Third Party?.

I feel that's an important distinction when for all intents and purposes my role is a town role.

That's what's bothering me, what kind of balance would have a role designed to target and lynch either themselves or town, and then win when town wins? Just doesn't make sense to me and I've been trying to piece together how it COULD make sense.

The only way it does, imo, is if you are WoL with a non-town alignment. If you're not, well then shit, I hope the powers you gain from me dying are downright ridiculous because town will need them to win.

Communication is well and good but you and I both know that a role designed to guarantee a town-friendly player dies is just silly.

And yes we already discussed that Crescent. You're being a little disingenuous when you can surely see the logical process of how I've gotten to this point from the beginning of my claim to now in my/everyone else's posts.

Also to be clear for everyone else I'm not a new player or Corrik, I played Mafia regularly for many years when my username was ff6man.

I have nothing worth sharing today and day was nuked pretty quickly for pressing people.

I get why you played it the way you did though, but I'm fine just getting day over with. There was a voice that wanted more time so I said 'ok' but really we've played ookie cookie all day and aren't able to go anywhere else except for people's minds to break for free, and I don't like the 'for free' part of that

I suppose thats a double meaning when this game actually has a prize. Unintended though.

Yeah this ended up all sorts of momentum killing. Worse is there is a non-zero chance we don't gain anything from this.

People keep saying this turn of events killed discussion, yet we've already posted more in day 2 than the entirety of day 1. I don't doubt the stuff said today will be very important for the rest of the game. This is why I've been asking for opinions.

Many potential theories have been posted, and not many people have given opinions on them.

I'm sure it will be somewhat. But any sort of fiery back and forth isn't going to happen. It definitely has a bit of a dullness attached.

Noted. Can you go deeper into why? I can understand a lot of reasons why, but I'd like to hear it in your own words especially since you're a newer player. Are you not worried at all about Ulti flipping scum, especially with multiple logical theories supporting that being a possibility?

It doesn't make sense from a flavor standpoint, it doesn't make sense with scum probably without an unblockable, and it doesn't make any sense with the way ulti played the game.

scum claiming off safe-list is...a very rare thing. If town had WoL its not something I would expect scum to do. Especially since it just sets up a scenario where you lynch one and then if they arent scum you lynch the other.

i'll cede to your judgment. i would have assumed that elidibus specifically might see 'warrior of light' as one of their titles
