Possible based on Ulti and my reactions to the BG claim, but I feel like if we DID have any protection, it would have been much more likely to be pointed at Ulti than at you.

Too old to doing much commanding these days, and the level of competition here is too low for me to get bent out of shape.

I'm a lot more suspicious of anyone who was against the Shonen lynch because I really think a lot of what he did was scummy as hell between the slip, his reaction to the slip, and his responses afterwards. I feel like the only way someone would consider him town was if they knew something the rest of us don't.

this mirrors a lot of my own thoughts, but i imagine there would be enough scum to spread their behavior around

I identified town on bat (death for starters) due to how they were interacting and being able to see their thread of logic but you were acting contrary to how I expect you to act Usually as town you are all too eager to 'go with chris see where it leads' or somesuch but you were mega passive and then hopped onto the poor town bat train.

My first thought is you are probably the only scum on it just based on how others reacted to the "slip." You should know just the same as I that such things are rarely assured, but you went all coin tosser on me. Not cool imo

Bat said something that clearly could come from noob scum. It was a better lead than any other shenanigans, and I still disagree with you about the importance of lynching a bodyguard. Bodyguards still one for one scum. It doesn't get you ahead.

I realize now that the fact I spend 40 hours a week engaging in tactical rhetoric for my job kind of takes away a lot of the excitement of playing mafia.

Amusingly, I think I would enjoy being scum more! I used to much prefer town but now that I play town 40 hours a week trying to deceive people sounds like a fun change of pace

Bleh, they were out of almost all milk but oat milk, which I don't *mind* but it's pricier than my usual.

You likely know more about them Crescent I do. Am I annoyed they voted for me? No, not really, 'cuz it was pretty unfounded beyond "oh no I talked like Urianger for giggles." And also claimed I wasn't Urianger, which was immediately swept under the rug or alluded to in passing.

I still have nothing to go off of other than a giant "whatever, don't care" if I get lynched and a strong gut feeling, plus a new one forming in the two hours and change since topic reopening. I also get the feeling that scum probably think of me as more useful alive than dead because I've made myself look more suspicious and survived night one. Yes, I know that's not much to go on for anyone involved.

My current leaning is

with some others on the backburner, but I could use convincing.

People being wishy washy on if they are going to claim or not is honestly stalling this out. Sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting on people to be decisive.

Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and claim because I feel like we are gonna need a lot of time to talk this out.

I'm Ardbert, ?Third Party? Warrior of Darkness

(Yes that's how it's listed)

I am the WoL from a dying shard who sacrifices himself to save the world and those he cares about.

Once per day, I can choose one other person in the game and attempt to merge their soul with my own.

All votes reset, and the only people that can be voted for are myself, or the person I chose. If the player i chose is the Warrior of Light, the player who survives the day's lynch unlocks the power and protection of Azem. The dying player can continue to communicate with the living player through our own separate chat.

If the person I chose is NOT the WoL, either I get lynched and can't win the game, or I survive and can try again tomorrow.

The only way I can win is by finding the Warrior of Light and either taking his power or giving my power up. Once I do so, I win when town wins.

I've been playing as a townie this whole time despite my third party title because, obviously, I need town to succeed for me to have any chance of winning.

I also considered claiming as town but I figure lying is a bad way to instill faith, especially after I inevitably get lynched and flip third party.

One way or another though, I'm going to need to waste a day's lynch on having you guys either kill me, or kill Ulti. I'm not sure what the power and protection of Azem is referring to. I assumed day 1 that the survivor became bulletproof amongst other powers, but obviously, if Ulti is telling the truth, that isn't the case. (Unless we take each others powers, so maybe Ulti gets the ability to force a 1v1 vote if he lives, and I become Bulletproof if I live? Idfk)

What do you guys think is the best way to play this? I considered just stalling on claiming until as late in the game as possible, but I feel like it must unlock something good for us if it's worth wasting an entire day's lynch for.

Now that I've claimed this though, I pretty much have to do it today, otherwise I will almost certainly wake up dead on day 3.

So, now the rest of the day is about me. Let's go. Any questions?

No, I don't know what the powers I get/give are.

No, I don't know if the powers are different depending on if I live or Ulti lives.

No, I don't know what the point of this role is, seems like a complicated and convoluted way of shoving a third party role into a game that doesn't need one. (Sorry, Ben)

I'm assuming based on Ulti's earlier post "confirming" me that his flavour includes something about being incomplete and that he needs to find me to unlock his true potential or something, but we will have to wait for Ulti to explain that.
