I don't know if anyone else has been doing this but I changed my Labyrinth auto-team to a FFVII one late last season, since I got Cloud's Realm Chain and wanted to see if the added damage of a free chain would outweigh fatigue, and Seph/Genesis/Cloud/Barret/Quina have been safely killing things faster than my holy team did. Fatigue 10 is the only time I really notice it slow down a little but seems I hit enough springs that that isn't a chronic condition.

I dunno might be something to try if your holy team isn't that great and you have any gen 3 chains. They buff your damage quite a lot and are instant cast so don't cost you much tempo.

Geez this one was rough! I had to dream select Deuce's sync to survive the damage since this guy hits HARD. I only won due to a triplecast HURT! from Paine just before the maze gate! But a win's a win! Man getting that Trey dual awakening was such a blessing!

This guy is so obnoxious. Just a constant stream of super annoying status effects. I had to have Rufus cast grace on Tyro (and pick up a VII MND weapon) to prevent him from being stopped.

I think the other issues is that this team has zero buffs (other than the weak FB counter) since I dont have Tyros AA.

Yeah Ultima Weapon is the rare case where the dreambreaker is harder than the Bahamut. He can be beaten easily with a mage team of Red XIII and Vincent with Cait Sith though.

I have Red sync and Vincent AASB I guess. Still considering dreaming Cait.

I could also definitely get the sub-30 with the exact same team I just used if I lensed Tyros AASB... though Im not sure if thats worth it.

I got physical Alexander (650) to 2.5%. Definitely doable, but I really wish Quina's aegis counter was out, it slows things down so much to have that extra 4s of damage reduction.

Also I spent my last 7 tickets between II and VI, got nothing noteworthy except Gau's awakening, which I don't see myself using.

Actually kinda hilarious that this was a sub 30; I didnt realize how fast these characters were gonna blow through P2 (I didnt even make Ashe and Vaynes HAs) so I opened with Mog U1 and then had to spend like three turns in P3 building Mogs gauge to counter the 70% full break. But somehow these guys were still breaking rage! The chain ran out at like 24 seconds (and my BDL right after) but he was low enough that I could claw out the sub-30 anyway.

Raines and Kefla were blowing through his health at such a ridiculous rate, I had absolutely no problems getting to 20% in a single chain.

(Since theyre not visible, DPS are Galuf, Bartz, and GogoV). I lensed Lennas G+ here; first one of those Ive grabbed in quite a while. I have 5 BDL but three are on Galuf, so he doesnt really have time to use them all in 30 seconds. Azulmagia also has stupidly high MND so I have Mog use grace on himself and either use his U1 or get stopped in P3; either way he cant immediately counter the FB. I guess maybe just grace would be enough if I bought an FFV MND weapon?

Decided not to rechain when my BDL were ready, instead just using Galuf sync at first. Then I rechained at about 15s and used the other DPSs BDL so theyd actually last to the end (using Galuf AA1 when he had the bars).

I was going back and sub-30ing some DBs yesterday too. I did 4, 8, 11, and 13. Azulmagia scares me though. I have the same problem you mentioned except all my BDLs are on Bartz - 3 awakenings, a sync, and a dyad.

Harder than the magic version, but I still got the win on my first serious attempt, after learning the opening turns.

I used my reward tickets on the ice banner and got some good stuff: Prishe Dyad, Vivi Dyad and Serah Sync. I should finally have a shot at Enkidu with that... or Abductor, whatever

Ugh this was still a rough one with how awkward these syncs and awakenings are. At first I was using Cait Sith with Quina's realm chain for phase 3 but I could never break king's rage, so I switched back to Mog so I can keep the high chain going and tried combining Vivi's sync and awakening but he could never break king's rage either. I felt stumped but I figured out Garnet could break king's rage if I combine her sync and awakening, even though that would lose the sync's triplecast goodness, and that finally got the job done!

Yeah he was kind of annoying... I guess at least you should be able to use the dyad and two of the other BDL

Nice! Im at 8/18 clears and 6/18 sub-30s.

Getting close on the DBs... four more to go (VI, XI, XV, and T) plus one sub-30 (VII). XI should be doable but Ill probably wait until I get the crystals for Prishes HA. Not sure about VI because of the bar-fire. XV and T I only have 2.5 and 1.5 BDL.

My slowest DK kill by far despite having Golbez dual+sync+awakening. I used Edge sync to get through P1 but as soon as that runs out hes pretty much out of gas, and all I have for Pecil is his awakening and glint. Mog got bit in P2 and then I forgot for a turn or two that Golbezs sync C2 is an overstrike (C1 wasnt quite clearing 20k). His sync+dual eventually ran out; luckily I could fall back on the awakening to eke it out.

Yeah FF4 Bahamut sucks! He's way too fucking bulky! Still I hope this doesn't rub you in the wrong way but I finally sub 30'd him! (by nanoseconds...)

Maaan this was struggle. I only got the sub30 by luck, he's so bulky Rydia and Edge couldn't break king's rage (well Rydia sync 2 is an overstrike but that costs DPS) so I just had to go as fast as possible and kill him before Mega Flare.

I thought I could do the OP sync command 1+chain stonja with awakening trick Rydia can do with her earth sync with the water sync I got from the Trey/Rydia Dual Awakening banner, it works but it doesn't do much damage, or Bahamut is just that annoyingly bulky. It was better just to use her sync and awakening separately to get through phase 1 ASAP.

Haha no worries, congrats! I was kinda surprised that Golbez didn't carry harder, but Pecil in particular wasn't carrying his weight and with my awakeningless Edge I always have hone issues.

Pecil's damage is really poor, I have his awakening, sync and dyad and It couldn't get close to a sub30 with him. Dyad didn't even seem to matter because he never hit over 19999 anyway. Rubicante did better with just his awakening than him.

By the way are you gonna fight Armor Construct next? If you can beat FF4 Bahamut you can probably beat him too.

Oh yeah, I do remember hearing he was on the easier side for lab bosses. Yeah I'll probably try at some point. Right now though I'm trying to finish grinding labs for Garland's stuff (currently 2/5/8) so I can attempt the I DK (pretty sure I should be able to beat it with 1.5+2+2.5 BDL; we'll see about sub-30 since the 1.5 is WoL)

FF1 Bahamut is really hard though, he's got 5.5 million HP and he's bulky. I had to hone Master's awakening to beat him.

I also revisited FF3 Bahamut with CoD and Arc powered by hero gear and a second HA on CoD and I got the sub30 on him too! Sweet!

Yeah my impression is that its the second hardest after XI? This is the most BDL I have on a realm team though and including an ATB sync so hopefully itll work!

Also I have Sarahs awakening and U4 which should help a decent amount

Yeah I think it's considered the second hardest being a neglected realm having to deal with that much HP. Only has 2 DPS mages too. Maybe 6 is harder without Kefka sync? I hear current Locke is pretty busted too. 12 or 15 might be as well since they're hodgepodge realms. Pretty crazy that FF1 was one of the first Bahamut released too and somehow people beat it day 1.

I screwed up by forgetting to activate Garlands dyad during wing wall, but even without that mistake I was far off here. For the last 10% or so I was spamming Meias OSB (also WoLs a few times). Got it in the end, though!

Maybe within screwed by Garlands radiant shield eating ticks range? In any case I dont think I can get it without getting some more stuff (some LMRs at least). For this run Mog didnt get bit, countered P3 FB immediately and then smashed kings rage immediately.

I should really see if I can sub 30 armor construct since I have two DASBs in the realm now (DK Cecil and Kain)

stupid question but what makes mog so good that he is overwhelmingly used? This is me eyeing that damn awakening in dream select and wondering if I feel froggy, I have his first one

His Awakening 2 is a full break counter and give party quickcast until it runs out, and it also chases with a heal and ensuna. His glint+'s are also fantastic and his USB give the part a attack/mind/magic buff and quickcast as a back up. He leans towards mage though with his sync/HA/Awakening 1 but he can still work in a mixed team.

So basically since I already have Cait Sith's Awakening honed if I had mog (I think I have everything but his a2) my magic teams would be pretty much set and I plug in the type

Mog AA2 also gives a party weakness boost (9/15/30% with 1/2-3/4-5 FFVI characters in the party, stacking with similar boosts as long as they're not the same amount). But yeah the FB counter and the universal QC are the really important parts. He also is pretty good supplemental healing under his AASB with his dance chase LM2 and the esuna chase is sometimes very helpful (the heal chase can also be triggered by the esuna chase).

Yeah double Moogle is fantastic for mage teams, Cait's buff with Mog's full make and HA lets mages rip through nexus bosses (and Neo/Zero Bahamut when those come out) You might want Cait's USB2 as a backup since it gives last stand and regenra.

I feel as if the lack of Mog/Orran is the only thing really holding me back from most nexus bosses. I have a lot of cool stuff because I just randomly pulled a lot the last two years and only now thinking about end game seriously.

Orran's been my go-to physical support for geez like two years now (and he hasn't gotten any new relics since that fest which shows how godly he is) Even his BSB is still meta for the crit damage buff! All of his stuff is dream selectable and I think his sync is stampable in fests now too.

Orran is great, I still find him the best physical support in the game even though I have all Quina's stuff and keep trying to make them work. IMO the top three supports are Cait, Orran, and Mog in that order. Everyone else seems to have major flaws (although I haven't really had a chance to try ones like Sazh, Edward, or Gordon).

Lissette is up there too with Cait/Mog/Orran.

Am I missing something about people saying this was an easy day 1 sub30? I had a lot of trouble getting the sub30 with awakenings and syncs for all 3 of my DPS. I was always 1-4 seconds short outside of this run because I had really good Papalymo RNG.

I have a sync and a guardian thing for Lissette, will do research

Lili hasn't seemed that good to me, although I've only tried her in the XI DK. So maybe the fight is just that bad.

Getting the clear wasnt that bad, but I had to try a bunch of times to cut off the last few seconds. Im down to like 4 non-elemental crystals after R5ing the ice samurai ability for Ayame (and therefore couldnt buy Prishes HA). No critfix here either other than the samurai retaliate thing. I also had to restart a few times because I got slowed right before P3 with Aphmau not ready to rehaste.

Welp, went through with dreaming Cait's AA. 9 months or so purely F2P was a pretty good run!

3/11: Fujin AASB1, Faris USB2, Balthier LMR2 (fire infuse)

I have Fujin's other AASB so that should be helpful (and should let me get the sub-30 for VIII's DK). But more importantly, Cait! Time to wipe out my level 1 lenses and scroll stores to hone that...

Whats the opener you guys use for Cait/Mog teams? It seems like theres a lot to juggle at the beginning...

I recleared lab Alex with Cait/Mog (plus switching Golbez to Ace Striker and using his sync before his DA) and somehow my clear was a few seconds slower than with Mog/Elarra despite countering aegis and everything. Im not really sure why since I was basically constantly capping (besides during P3s wing wall equivalent)

What I generally do is this: (not aiming for sub-30 though)

- Both start with DMT/MM
- Mog opens with AASB1, Glint+ 1, then his HA or Passion Salsa until he has the gauge for AASB2.
- Cait Sith uses AcM, RW Wall, then his HA or AcM for a turn or 2. He may also use Odin magicite at some point here.
- I might cast Cait AASB earlier if I need more early healing than Mog can provide.
- Mog AASB2, Cait AASB, DPS SBs and Chain are then all cast roughly at the same time, and things start dying.

Ah yeah I don't have Mog's AA1 so I think I need to open with Cait AA to get up haste (unless I actually slot hastega). Healing also seemed a bit dicey at times.

Yeah, you probably have to open with Cait AASB if you don't have Mog AASB1. Healing just isn't good enough if you wait until 10 seconds to cast AASBs.
