I have sub-30ed 0 Bahamuts. I'm just bad at that fight. I should probably go try IV with my two DAs.

Did my one sync select and got an old Tidus BSB. Picked Hope's sync.

Thanks. I tried it on XIII and I didn't win (because Vanille died) but it made me realize Mog is much better than Cait Sith for DK because of the FB counter. If I had Vanille's awakening it probably would have been an easy win.

Got my first DK sub-30, 28.00 on IV. The first time I failed because Edge was geared totally wrong (physical damage without realm synergy... not sure what I was thinking when I set that up except the team was using Orran before instead of Mog). Once I regeared him for magic it worked great.

I have beaten them all, sub-30'd 9 of them:
II, IV, VII, VIII, IX, XII, XIV, XV and T-0

I think I definitely have enough tech for a sub-30 on III and VI. Maybe XI too, actually, since I saw a sub-30 on reddit that should be worse than my team.

My V has a strong Bartz, but he can't sub-30 by himself, and he's my only double BDL character. Same for T with Agrias.

He wasn't too bad at all really. Between Ultimecia and Golbez I had two Dual Awakenings so that certainly helped. I can probably take his physical form too especially now with this dark boost 18. (Seifer and Dark Cecil give me two duals over there too)

Can someone remind me why Orans AASB is so revered? I have his sync and G+, but not the AASB. Debating if I want to do a dream select or not. For reference, I have both of Mogs AASBs, Caits AASB, Tyros and Quintas as well. And Lillisettes, if that matters.

It's his only relic that allows him to be somewhat competent as healer. So if you want to use Orran for his wide support role (Speedtrick HA, Crit fix, Crit dmg, FB counter, Def/Res/Mnd counter), you absolutely want his AASB so he can help your healer, or possibly solo-heal

As much as I'd like Edge's awakening I know if I pulled I'd get another 1/11 Thancred G+...!

I'd like Thancred's sync but I have every other sync and awakening on the banner, so it's a no go. Gotta save for fest anyway.

Orran's awakening is fantastic besides the stock HP, it's a proshellga + instant cast + dispel on entry, I know that sounds meh with healer glint+'s nowadays but there are a few bosses that still dispel like FF5/11/T Bahamut and Anima and that's a livesaver in those conditions! Plus the dispel is great for getting rid of haste on Wodin and Enkidu. The party instant cast is also really helpful when you need to recast chain! Highly recommend honing it!

Hmm, apparently Ace DASB is in the LotR pool. Ill still hopefully be able to keep myself from pulling on any of these until the end of fest (may slip and pull on XV/T early...), but maybe theyre a bit more worthwhile than I thought theyd be!

Haha well my last LotR was a complete disaster (literally no BDL besides Zeids dyad pulling on all 18) which has already dissuaded me from pulling on them for my stronger realms. I am still planning on pulling on III/VI/XI/XII/XV/T if I have mythril left over after fest, though

I'll try to pull on as many LotR banners as I can, but I intend to go for 500 mythril on the fest banners and the 100 mythril for a free Sync (probably Tidus 2), not to mention the Sync LD.
I don't think I'll have a lot of mythril to spare on LotR after those 625 mythril are taken care of.

I still pulled on T now though, because I really need some more relics for the Bahamut sub-30. Got a worthless 5* dupe, though.

Tidus 2 is a good pick, it's pretty insane. I'm still debating what to do for that select.

Yayyy a third BDL for XV! Looks like he does 25% damage to himself every time he attacks, though? That's annoying. Can he kill himself with that? I don't remember the darkness abilities ever killing me, so hopefully not?

Is there some sorta guide with the number of like high level artifacts (thinking maybe just Dyads/Dual Awakenings/certain OP Syncs/Gen 3 Chains) on each banner?

Last fest seems like the cutoff because you can see Ace and Machina's Dual Awakening in the Type-0 pool but not Trey's dual awakening.

I think I'm gonna skip RoP except for maybe FF1 since I'm trying to get Master's sync before Nexus Shiva comes out.

I definitely can't do ROP because I still only have 382 mythril and I'm trying to get to 500 before the end of fest banner 4.

Redid 580 Tiamat with Vayne/Ashe/Penelo HE for the sub-30... only shaved off one second for some reason (I think I screwed up more than last time), but oh well, 29.X is still sub-30!

I still couldn't really get Ashe's sync 2 C1 to actually take advantage of the extra BDL from C2 though... not sure why

Got the sub-30 on a few more Bahamut fights: III, VI, and XIII are now also done.

That leaves I, V, X, XI, T and Core.

New Labyrinth group and Nexus boss tomorrow, Blue Dragon from FF6. He's apparently easier than the previous lightning weak nexus Kraken because he uses the wall gimmick in phase 2 like Alexander so if you beat Kraken you should be good for this guy too.

Probably going to use the same parties as last time though since I got Ashe's sync2 I might use her over Edge because of hero gear and major infusion from her sync. Y'shtola still sucks but she's like the only source for mage lightning imperils with her awakening beside Marach but he doesn't have two cap breaks yet (unless you want to hone his awakening)

Maybe I can try Aranea over Master since she gets hero gear this group but I don't like using dragoons.

I'm looking forward to hero gear for Lightning, Prompto, and Edgar. I'll probably be using the same teams as last time too... Kain and Prompto are automatic for physical and then Lightning is next best unless I try Delta. For magic Garnet is chaining and then two of Vivi, Shantotto, and Ashe, where Vivi is probably the strongest of the 3.

I never actually did physical Kraken, only magic Kraken. We'll see how well I do against Blue Dragon. Either way, I'm excited for Lightning's and Prompto's HE.

It's kinda weird that hero equipment kinda completely obsoletes relic equipment

I wonder if they'll start putting inheritable effects onto relics at some point to make drawing them have a use other than getting the soul breaks

Lightning (sync/dyad) is my only lightning character with multiple BDL for either phys/magic besides Cater (who is... not great for dps with only one stack of infusion across both AAs and a bad HA, and outdone for imperils by Prompto), so Im not gonna be doing any more than the 580 for now. I am looking forward to getting Lightnings HE and taking another stab at the XIII DK sub-30, though!

Based on how many weeks are left in the season two of the remaining groups will only be two weeks long and only one of them (VII) has multiple old characters returning, so even assuming thats one of the short labs whichever totally new set gets two weeks is gonna really suck to farm.

Oh wait actually thats not true; totally forgot that I have two BDL for Steiner now! I might be able to make Lightning/Prompto/Steiner work, then?

Steiner has hero gear so he's probably good. His speed stat is worrying though with the short last phases in nexus bosses.

Yeah I think the main downside is that I have his AA2/SA2 which both have full-realm bonuses, so they're not ideal for elemental content. Still, I'd imagine it would be better to bring him with two BDL than Delita with just his AASB.

I do also have Steiner's LBO though so that'll help a lot with the last phase too

He's got a great USB too, it gives the party instant cast and he does 6 chase hits while in the ex mode, and he has a spellblade damage+ LMR with sword equipped which are both lensable.

I'm all for shorter lab groups... max passives aren't that important, and the best characters' gear is usually given as boss rewards anyway. I'd rather get more different hero equipment faster.

There's also supposed to be treasure map ex items in the future you can trade for max passives at Kite's shop thank god.

Yeah but if they're gonna do shorter groups they should at least align the two week ones with the repeat character ones...! (Though this time Vayne's sword screwed me and took absolutely forever so I needed the extra week anyway)

Yeah getting up to like... 24/27 PPs or whatever before using the couple you can afford to purchase with EX maps each group would probably take like half of the time of getting 27/27

I think it's just RNG; with fire lab I swear I was only getting like 10-15% elemental passives instead of 1/3. I think it took me like 30-40 runs to get Vayne PP though (getting tons of repeat Gabranth/Larsa PP).

I had 6.5 BDL so Im guessing a sub-30 is possible, but Im not gonna bother with that until they add wait2 to lab.

Nice! Sub 30 on labyrinths still seems impossible to me aside from Kalavinka Striker with the jump start. Fujin's hero gear in group L might help though. Not to mention Valvalis's DA in fest.

Yeah, I don't know how to go fast on these fights... I have multiple BDL for everyone on phys earth too (including Machina's dual) and even with overdrive I also got like ~38s on Kal Striker.

Almost got him first try but in the last phase he stacks a bunch of null lightnings in the last phase, I used Garent and Y'shtola's awakening first because of imperils, but it was better to use their syncs first then save their awakenings for the last phase to overwrite the null lightnings.

I'm debating lensing a magic lightning chain; I probably don't actually need it for the easy mode fight (and I'm not clearing hard mode with 3BDL), but I could maybe do WOdin? I dunno whether to get it for Garnet (AA2, imperil BSB) or Desch (AA1, LBO), though. (Leaning Garnet)
