It took me a few tries to get through P1 with anybody dying (had to use Mog G+1 and defend with OK for the initial attack, and then use Mog G+2 later to survive two big hits in a row), but after that it went smoothly. Also didnt bother with OKs HA (or Deschs since it sucks).

Realm dungeons were a pleasant surprise today, I'll take the 6 mythril. I'm kinda tempted to pull on the Cecil/FuSoYa/Ceodore banner, it seems pretty good. Although Hope is better but the other stuff on that banner doesn't help me.

Yeah Im debating the same. I still need a holy chainholder (for both phys and mag) so Cedore stuff would be very appreciated, as would more Pecil stuff. Id probably need multiple FuSoYa things to get him more than a temporary spot on magic, though (unless Im gonna stick with RW chain)

Magic Anima done! Aww yeah!

Yes, that's literally Aphmau of all healers in an endgame party. USB2 provides some nice imperils, so with her spamming Dedia I easily kept Anima at 6 imperil throughout the fight.

Cait - hAASB, USB2, G+
Aphmau - G+, USB2, AASB, Sync
Yuna - Gauge G+, CSB, AASB1
Raines - AASB1+2, Sync
Rem - Sync, AASB, USB1, LBO

- build some early gauge with everyone
- make sure to cast Cait Sith AASB after Yuna's CSB to get the stronger 50% boost
- Rem Sync+AASB destroys, but Raines AASB1+2 also works pretty decently
- Got Anima to 20% in a single chain
- Phase 3 was done with Raines Sync, whatever time was remaining on Rem AASB and Rem LBO finisher

But I am reminded that I have 5 for that realm so maybe I should just go to Elarra for the healer and see if she can heal it.

Can someone remind me what the improved wait mode works on? I saw something that said it does indeed work on the Omega dungeon, but I thought I remembered someone in here saying it didn't, and defaults back to speed 3.5, even though it shows speed 2.

It doesn't work on the latest lab season, not sure bout season 1.

Also FFXIV DB got beaten to death even though I didn't have a full break counter. Cait and Ysayle were like "that's nice" lol

I got a disco on the daily today but it was a dupe Bartz wind awakening, 9/15 now. Sheesh of all the awakenings I almost get a free honed with dupes it had to be one of the worst ones.

Ah well maybe it'll still help with Earth Guardian when combined with Awakening 1.

Bartz wind awakening got my ffv dk from 100 to 70 almost by itself <.<

Question do you think that a honed aasb elarra/Cait sith plus a hope with sync and a rem with sync/awakening and minwu with dyad/awakening/sync is enough to take on Anima? It feels like a lot but I don't know how scary Anima is. But again, it feels like a lot minus maybe the fact that hope only has his sync but it's a great sync.

Actually instead of hope I could use Yuna who has a csb2 chain and sync and awakening but she never seems to hit as hard as I want her to

Got nabaat dual awakening and Serah dyad. Thats probably going to be Hella useful.

That sounds like plenty to me. I'd definitely run Hope over Yuna but maybe you can fit Yuna in for Elarra if she has enough healing. That's what I did on wind magic with Eiko.

Yuna might be able to heal. I've got Cait's G+ and both his USBs plus I've killed the 7 DK so I get those nodes (I dont know what those do for him off the top, but cait is a monster for me, honing that AASB has been a massive boon now that I can do big boy content with Wait2)

Although Anima won't let me wait, so I am going to have to figure out a solid game plan which probably involves ditching Elarra

I have Yuna's Sync and AASB and healing USBs

I think the first order of business is trying to finish off a couple of dreambreakers (I got 13 and 4 to under 10%, just need to rework those teams a little bit) and then game planning anima.

Yuna is passable as a healer if you have her AASB2 (the one with the meter refund that awakens summon and white magic) and if you have her glint that gives meter

AASB1's chase isn't very effective. Sync also isn't effective for healing (can be fine for damage though). You'd ideally want to run her with just her chain, USB4 (whichever the quickcast 3 one is), and AASB2.

I've somehow gotten all nine 5% holy lab weapons before getting all of the 8% accessories (8/9). Armors are still at 4/9, though.

Magic Dark Argent Odin defeated in 36.50!

Holy hell does wait mode 2 make it so much less stressful in terms of planning moves and such. Also, having Cait's glint+ for aegis was also great. I do have Orran's glint+ for physical teams, just not his AASB unfortunately (though I do have his Sync).

Rem and Hope's Sync/AASB combo was pretty crazy. I'm not sure if I could have pushed it earlier than I did, but I let their Syncs get right towards the end, then dropped AASBs with the second chain, and finished him just before that second chain expired.

Okay with only three cap breaks I managed to get down wind weak magic odin, and that's my last magic odin down! Now to see how many physical Odins I can power through with the power of Elarra/CS as support. I am guessing at least 3

Aren't Cait's buffs all magical? I'd imagine you'd be better off with Tyro for phys teams.

I use him to counter Aegis and to provide regen to free up Elarra to crit hax

With crazy Minwu this wasn't difficult. Used Minfilia as she can counter Aegis, adds meter gain (I have her AASB), and throws in some minor healing/imperil support which makes Yuna and Fusoya click and feeds Minwu meter. Didn't bother resurrecting her from Doom as she had served her purpose by then (used Reraise on Hope)

I was actually DPSing with Yuna most of the fight but later on she needs to go into healer mode

Just need to beat water Odin (Lightning Weak) now. Oh and I guess Bio Odin. Forgot him.

Raines was easily the MVP here, doing about 25k a hit against Kings Rage. Lightnings damage in P2 (under dyad+sync1) was trash. Snow did respectably.

My other main issue was that I got out of P1 super slow (like 19 seconds or something). I could try to use one of Raines awakenings in P1 instead of Snow, but they combo with each other so limiting the overlap seems like it would be a waste. Guess Ill probably wait to try and sub-30 it until Lightning gets the HE she so desperately needs here!

And that's 8. I bet you guys thought I was joking about Raijin right? Hahaha. Yeah. Turns out he's pretty good if you have his AASB. Damage cap breaking HA, +50% crit damage from AASB, +50% crit and lightning shield from USB. He's good, y'know?

Failed a few times at VII DB (got it down to a little over 10%, but trying to save Mogs AA2 for the second and third FB slowed me down too much) so I decided to do VIII instead. I was worried about the bar-ice on this one since Rinoa is my double BDL character here, but the extra 20% imperil from Kiross AA was enough to keep him weak to ice. I also decided to grab Fujins HA and take her with one BDL instead of Seifer with two; she was consistently capping and her AA2 gives row QC so it worked out quite well. I didnt even use Rinoas LBO!

VIII DK down as well!

My chain ran out near the end of P3... unfortunately Rinoa was only doing like 18k under AA1+3, so I had to use two Fujin OSBs, Rinoas AA1 followup, and Rinoas LBO for Kings rage. If Rinoa could break 20k with her regular attacks it probably would have been a sub-30!

Tried VIII DK again after it occurred to me to use Ultima to break Kings Rage, but first I accidentally used Mogs second AA2 hone at the beginning of P2 instead of his USB1, and the second time Mog got Memory Bit before P3, delaying his AA2 a turn. Ill probably try again later... (Ultima did break 20k)

Not sure if I want to pull on the banner tonight... I really want Rydia's DASB and sync for the water lab, but I don't want Trey's stuff at all. I could wait for Rydia's stuff to come back in summer fest but that's more than 5 months away.

I bit on that banner since I want Baltheir dyad or sync, got Trey's dual awakening, I wanted to do another for possibly another cap break for him but I got Rydia sync and Squall sync. Still not bad, maybe I should dream select an awakening for Trey since he has hero gear and cover 3 elements.

Decided to do one pull after I saw I had an awakening for Trey, so getting his sync/DASB wouldn't have been totally useless. 1/11 Trey glint, obviously.

Did one pull, got both glint+s. Oh well

I'm tempted to pull but I think I wanna save for the core banner since Biggs and Wedge are both on my elemental teams in addition to core (and getting one of their DASBs might let me take on the DK unless it's supposed to be one of the really bad ones)

Got my VIII DK time down to 32.7s... ugh, so close. Might need another cap break though...

I think core Bahamut is on the easier side, sameish as Type-0/FF3/FFT.

I finally have an auto sub10 team on Syldra with Trey's Dual Awakening! Kill her with those cap breaks before she kills me with her gravity BS!

Trey DA/Squall Awakening

Both new, my Trey is now very busted in terms of tech so maybe he is going to be on a lab team or two. Squall's Awakening I hope helps my FF8 realm teams a bit

Oh FYI if you already beat Snow Giant, Kraken or Salamander you can clear the labyrinth missions by just doing 10% damage, I just tried it with Salamander and got the honing scroll.

I tried Salamander once but died after only getting through like 13% of his hp... should be able to get the 30% reward at least, but ugh these guys are annoying

Also really obnoxious that you have to set up your party as a lab team to fight them

Oh, that's good news. I didn't even attempt Salamander and Kraken before, since I was waiting for these missions, but I already beat magic Snow Giant, so that's basically some free stuff now, without any real effort.

I'm confident I can get the Salamander win; probably both teams actually, but especially magic.
Kraken on the other hand will be a bit of a headache: might be doable, but my lightning teams aren't as strong as I'd like. Obviously, the campaign banners feature basically nothing that helps with lightning, only a few Kain relics on B2.

Decided to do one more pull because I really want Rydia's stuff...

3/11 - Rydia glint, Squall sync, Rydia sync!

Basically the best pull I could have without getting Rydia's dual awakening. Hopefully I can beat Salamander with magic now... will have to try it tomorrow or on the weekend. Squall's buildup sync seems cool too because of the similarity to his old awesome BSB. If you get his DASB does using command 2 once (with triplecast) immediately get you to max level for command 1?

As expected, magic Salamander wasn't much of an issue. I'm a bit disappointed by how slow this was, considering Meia (AASB1, AASB2, Dyad) and Strago (AASB1, Sync, BDL G+) are pretty stacked, but time rewards really don't matter enough to be worth worrying about.

I decided to sub-30 some 6* magicites for my weekly runs (my old times for three were like 35-40s). I got magic Valefor down to 25.95 (in retrospect Im pretty sure I had the de-haste timing wrong and was doing the add phase without haste, which would explain why the timing felt so tight on my original clear... oops), phys Titan down to 22.35, and magic Alex down to 20.25.

I'm glad you don't have to do the full clear to get all the rewards if you've done it before because I'm doing terrible on these Labyrinth fights even with dual awakenings. Kraken took a few tries and then I got him down to 1.7% before dying, decided it wasn't worth doing again. Ice Giant I was having trouble staying alive at all and after a few tries I got him to 40% and called it good. Going to try for the Salamander magic kill now which I haven't gotten before.
