Can't wait for the highlights summed up in 20 minutes. Fuck watching a marathon of his for 40 minutes of un-intended entertainment.

He just went on a drunk unhinged 15 minute rant about food delivery

He ordered filipino food and got upset that it was filipino style. He jokingly claimed that it was bad because it didn't lend itself to being eaten on stream while sitting in a comfy chair rather than a dinner table, but that's exactly what got him upset.

Also insulted people who like to eat shelled seafood rather than simply saying that he doesn't like that. He literally can't say anything without insulting someone.

Also said that people are making "excuses" for not supporting the Halo stream.

He literally thinks that giving him money is mandatory and to not do so you need an excuse he deems valid.

And he will still keep up the lie that tips aren't mandatory.

He singlehandedly destroyed non-whale support by making it clear that he sees small tips as worthless. Those little tips used to add up over the course of a stream, and now they're mostly gone. How many times has he complained that one or two whales provided almost the entirety of the tips total? As always, DSP is his own worst detractor.

Phil and Kat had Chinese takeout both Christmas eve and Christmas day because the Christmas roast recipe they picked out was a detractor. Phil braised beef for the first time ever, but he did nothing wrong, he did everything correct. Whoever wrote the recipe is a fucking idiot.

Also insulted some poor young man working at Papa John's on Christmas Day and reminisced about getting an un-named "action figure" on Christmas morning.

I don't believe anything he says about the behaviors of other people in these stories where everyone other than him are always a moron or an asshole.

If he had trouble making Hamburger Helper, how did he think he was going to cook a roast? I think DSP has legitimately lost 20 or 30 IQ points over the last few years. Every time he tells one of these stories, he comes out looking like a complete moron.

I guess this helps his narrative of being busy all the time, though. It probably takes him an hour to make a can of soup, during which time he sets the kitchen on fire, floods the garage, and dislocates both shoulders.

Him reading a recipe that calls for 2 cups of wine and using a half cup instead is just so DSP. Not only is it a complete misunderstanding of cooking but then his usual narcissism convinces him that it's the recipe and not the fact he cooked it wrong.

I relistened to the Christmas Roast story and it really is mindboggling how incredibly stupid Phil is.

From the way he goes through the progression of the cook it sounds like he never used a cooking thermometer. He just read "cook for 90 minutes" in the recipe and tossed it in there, probably didn't even look at it and just pulled it out when his timer dinged 90 minutes.

You can't fucking do that. A recipe can't take into account every different oven ever made. Knowing him he probably didn't even take meat size into consideration. You have to check the fucking temperature when you chuck a huge slab of meat in the oven, lmao.

He also says that the recipe is wrong because it said to rub seasoning on the meat before cooking and it didn't taste of anything.

Like... what does he think seasoning is? How can you possibly assume the recipe is wrong because your outcome didn't taste of anything? Seasoning just works and if it doesn't there's an issue with the quality of the ingredients used or how they're cooked. Sounds like he burned them to a crisp. Does he think nutmeg just doesn't taste of anything and the recipe lied by telling him to use it?

He doesn't know how to do anything, he has no real hobbies or interests, and he leaves the house once a week. If he's not streaming or eating, does he spend every waking hour playing WWE Champions or watching TV? It's no wonder he's getting dumber: his brain desperately needs to be stimulated. Imagine making 120k a year doing virtually nothing while being able to set your own schedule and still leading a life completely devoid of purpose or meaning. I almost feel sorry for him.

Watching these streams lately, I genuinely don't know how anyone can enjoy this. No matter what game he's playing he just ends up whining about something related to his career or the industry. There is also no way any major company would give him a review copy.

He goes out of his way to make sure the streams are not entertaining. Even if one could somehow ignore the constant begging and negativity, all that's left is a below average gamer who has no real connection to any of the games he plays and refuses to put in the time and effort needed to get good at anything.

He's streaming New Years as if its literally any other day, not even changing his schedule. It's Friday so we gotta have Street Fighter.

I'm assuming he will whine about low support if he gets it, not realizing that a significant portion of his audience is tied up in having a life. But I also imagine some of his no lifer whales who don't have a New Years to go to will be willing to bail him out of that indignity as a new years present for him.

Phil set the difficulty in Lost Judgement to easy, you can tell by the safe file.

If he could get past his ego, he could just play everything on easy. He clearly doesn't care about games as anything more than vehicles to bring in money, so he may as well get through them as quickly and easily as possible.

I like how he says he will never quit as if that was ever an option. Someone like Lindsay Ellis has plenty of skills to fall back on. If DSP quits, he's homeless.

But he's obviously never watched any of her content. It brims with passion and talent. But he has his fucking narcisistic maxims. Oh she quit rather than stick it out (like meeeeeeeeee!)? Obviously means they just did it for a paycheck. He has no clue what he's talking about. He makes no effort to get a clue. He just shits the bed from his mouth continuously in an abhorrent stream of self-centeredness in which he throws anyone who has to deal with harassment under a bus to elevate himself.

During his "much worse has happened to me and I'm still here" psychobabble he also makes the insanely moronic claim that if someone uses your content to make critical videos (EI: This is How You Don't Play) then it's fair use if it benefits the original content creator and gives them free advertisement, but the exact same practice is stealing if it results in taking popularity away from said content creator. He literally thinks the law bends to whether or not he personally benefits in a given situation. Absolute psychopath.

He also intermixed his Ellis rant with a general rant on "shills" (the whole thing is over an hour long and is hard to separate into individual rants) where he flat out lies about doing a sponsorship for a gaming chair. Not even just saying "no I didn't", but individual lies about it, like he never even received a chair, when there's video of him saying he received one. And he finishes off by saying that people are lying for claiming he did, he's not a shill. What actually happened is that mr. not a shill WAS GOING to do advertisement for a chair but trolls ruined it.

It's so baffling. He's not a shill because he was going to shill for a gaming chair, but trolls ruined it so he didn't get to actually do it. He flat out admits he was going to shill for a gaming chair. But it didn't happen due to actions entirely out of his control. So he's not a shill. What. Nevermind that it's literally a lie.

Also, while calling people paid shills he admits he deleted a tweet because it was getting a negative backlash and hurting him. How is censoring your own speech to avoid negative (and as we know negativity and positivity is linked with money to him) repurcussions for the things you say not shilling? Especially when you're a loser who has to keep repeating that the reason your fans like you is because you're the "real deal" and whatnot.

Yeah, I enjoyed some of Lindsay Ellis' videos. She's clearly intelligent and puts a lot of effort into her content. She comes across as more professional than a lot of the former Channel Awesome crew, and infinitely more professional than DSP.

The shill thing is always stupid. We all witnessed the chair saga. Beyond the obvious lies, it makes no sense that being sponsored is somehow worse than begging strangers for money. I'd much rather listen to someone take two minutes to tell me about Skillshare or Nord VPN for the hundredth time than endure an entire stream dedicated to whining about not hitting the tips goal.

Combined with the bankruptcy eliminating a lot of his debts, he should have been in a pretty good position financially, right? And yet he cried poor the entire year, often resorting to whining about potentially not being able to pay his mortgage, or even being able to pay for groceries for the week.

This is why he both lied on his bankruptcy and no one should take him serious when he cries poor.

Even if he made the exact same amount of money as the year before, thanks to the bankruptcy, his expenses should have been cut significantly, because he has no more debts. His net income actually went up because of this.

Phil in a nutshell, never take responsibility for what you do or say. How often does he shit on his viewers, calling them idiots or worse. How often does he go on toxic rants about other streamers or content creators? Shit all over game devs, the devs he relies on to make games so he can have an income?

I could go on, but I think the point is clear.

This attempt to rebrand himself by retiring the "King of Hate" nickname is pretty funny. DSP is at his absolute peak in terms of toxicity and greed, while his content has never been worse. I would argue that his career (and his life in general) is at its lowest point and will only continue to go downhill. A nickname, especially one that hasn't been relevant in years, should be the least of his concerns.

I haven't caught up to this particular saga yet. What's he gonna do about his King of Hate forum?
