Kind of an understated scene, but Ive recently been fanning over this scene in Cowboy Bebop. Still some of the best dubbing ever

I was actually planning to do a ranking on my top 25 favorite anime moments but I don't think that's happening now

Future Trunks
Keikaku doori
Code Geass ending
School concert and end of endless 8 in Haruhi
Something in fate zero
Something in steins gate
maybe Todoroki vs Bakugo
The karaoke episode ending in Aggretsuko
Something in Mob Psycho maybe

I'll look over the list I had maybe later

Having just finished Attack on Titan anime a few days ago, and absolutely loving it (which is not something I feel like I can about something in the last few years...I kinda forgot how it feels) I am kinda obsessed about it right now and can probably make a top 20 anime moments of AoT alone

But if I had to pick 5...
Major Attack on Titan spoilers!!!-
Of course the top moment is Reiner and Bertholdt reveal
The way that such a huge reveal comes out of nowhere, making you want to believe that it's probably not true, and then when the music picks up when you see Reiner arm healing and realize that he is telling the truth...it was such a clever scene

Followed by Erwin death charge (and Levi beating the Beast Attack)
Levi going on a rampage on that Titan on the OVA
The fight to choose between Erwin and Armin
And Sasha killing Carlo followed by injuring the Cart Titan (a bit of a random moment but it was done so well)

For a non Attack on Titan I would say some stuff that was said here already otherwise I might have to think hard because it's been years-

Dragon Ball Z - Gohan turning into SS2 (only with Spirit vs Spirit playing otherwise meh)
Bleach - Ichigo getting stopped by Aizen finger
Naruto - I feel like it was done much better in the manga because the anime really dragged it on (also the OST choice sucked) but when the Sand Shinobi showed up in the Rescue Sasuke arc

I would probably include some stuff from Naruto, Bleach or One Piece if it was manga but the anime for them never impressed me.

DBZ has nostalgia on its side as well as a tolerable dub though so the anime is fine

The scenes I'd have picked from Bebop, FMA:B (Mustang v Lust) and One Piece (the Straw Hats declaring war) have been mentioned already.

I'd also throw in Jin killing Kariya in Samurai Champloo and the ice skating scene from Death Parade.

Oh... Can't forget Kenshin vs Saito, either, provided that doesn't go on too long to qualify as a "moment."

Gunbuster: Noriko launches in the Gunbuster for the first time. I still rewatch this scene from time to time, and I can get emotional just from hearing the OST from this series. It's one of my favorite anime ever.

Aku no Hana: Kasuga breaks down in the rain, admits he's a fraud, there's nothing special about him, he was only pretending to like reading because he thought it would make him seem smart and seem unique compared to the other kids in his class. I think a lot of people don't really understand this series but for me, if you understand this scene, I think you have an idea of what this story is truly about.

Futari wa PreCure: Nagisa gets separated from Honoka, and fight two of the strongest enemy generals by herself without the ability to refresh her transformation or power source, or use any of her strongest attacks. This one is thematically very powerful because the strength of the PreCure comes from their bond with each other, but Nagisa shows her determination as well as the true strength of their bond. Even if they are apart, she will fight to reunite with Honoka again, and bring Honoka back from the darkness. This episode alone made me a fan of the PreCure franchise for life, and is one of the big reasons why the original series is still my favorite after over a decade of sequels.

Cool idea for a topic.

Also since I read a lot of manga, here are some manga ones.

Fraction: Kago reveals the solution to the mystery, showing evidence that was hidden outside of the manga panels for the entire time you've been reading. Really clever use of the story telling medium as a part of the story itself.

Gantz: Kurono survives the dinosaur mission after being teleported into the hunt without his suit, and without any of his allies from the previous hunts. Honestly this mission was full of badass moments, but it's pretty amazing how Kurono was able to not only survive, but even help with taking down the final boss, without the use of a gantz suit.

Aku no Hana: Yeah, again. This time in manga form. In the end, Kasuga looks back on his life and I felt like it wasn't meant to be entirely clear if he felt content or regret or a mix of both. He chose a normal life, and he was stuck with the consequences of that choice regardless of how he felt about it. Reading this made me feel a sense of existential dread, like a weird sort of mundane cosmic horror that nothing else has ever made me feel. Going back to the beginning of the story and seeing things from Nakamura's point of view, seeing that she really was never normal, and could probably never be normal, was a great way to end the manga after that revelation.

Gurren Lagann on that scene with Kamina as well as the last fight in the movie.

FMA has a few too, Mustang vs. Lust for one but the one that's stuck with me the most: the chimera revelation. Can't hear that name without being reminded of it.
