May try and setup for that Odin before finishing all the 6*s, mainly since those missions run out in a few days, and extra tickets and such are always nice.

Got my last copy of Ramuh to make a defensive version of him. Plenty of misclicks, including missing using Red's AASB like, 3 times because I was panicked so just reused his sync C1. Then when I finally went into his SB selection, I hit his USB2 which I left on for some reason lmao. Tellah died, but a relatively easy kill.

Magic Leviathan defeated in 26.07!

Ashe with Dyad, Sync, and AASB is a terrifying lightning machine. DCs of her HA for 40k a hit in phase 3, even with Leviathan under shell, is no joke.

Kuja would be a big miss, but most other relic could potentially be useful for elemental content.

What's mostly stopping me is that I already sub-30'd IX Bahamut, so it kinda feels like a waste to pull on IX. Feels like there have to be better upcoming banners to help my weaker elements.

That definitely makes sense. I pulled because I don't think it's a fairly strong realm for me, and Vivi getting stronger is always fun!

So I looked at my magic fire tech and............it's not great. For current times at least. Got a few AASBs (Terra, Papa, Vivi, Matoya), and Vincent's chain, but no Syncs. Magic Shiva could be a bit tough.

Vivi's new Sync2 pairs with his AASB2, and Rinoa has Sync2 and AASB1 (and the new chain). Serah has her ice sync, as well as an ice chain, so may use her as chain holder and let Rinoa focus on damage. Main issue would be AOE stuff for the tornadoes.

For dark magic, no shortage of options. Emperor and Ultimecia return as a pretty solid duo, Kuja has the instant chain as well as an AASB, though would have to decide between him and Golbez as chain holder, as Golbez has his Sync (but his chain isn't IC).

Lastly, physical holy, Orlandu, Agrias, and WoL all have Sync/AASB combos (would likely take Orlandu and Agrias), Ramza has chain. Though managing that stupid rift in P3 will be annoying I'm sure.

I love Vivi but I can't really justify a pull here. I already have his sync2 and I don't really want Kuja or Steiner stuff. But! B2 was a step up in Japan, which seems to mean we get a half price first pull. If that one has Vivi's fire sync I'll be very tempted.

I still need to beat FF9 Bahamut, since I'm like the only person now that doesn't have Zidane sync, I think I'd rather go mage and wait till Garnet's hero gear comes out in a few weeks.

Phys Diabolos sucks but he should be easy with a team that stacked. Imo the easiest thing to do for P3 (at least with a lot of dps) is to just kill the rift once and then zerg him down (though you probably want last stand up)

Magic Earth Weak Odin defeated in 46.83!!!

Man what a rush, especially towards the end. This was my first try too, so I definitely didnt optimize when things shouldve been cast and such. It seemed like it took forever for him to cast death on slots 2 and 4. I had just put down the second chain when he did, killing Tellah and Mog. Brought them both back with Elarra AASB, but I had also just cast AASBs with Emperor and Red, as their syncs had run out, so THOSE ran out in phase 3, with under 10% hp left. Thank God I left their USBs on too, as Emperors dealt the killing blow (hones were all spent on their HAs too, and I hadnt given either a secondary ability lmao).

The golden week ticket gave me Cinques sig damage up with hammer LMR, Josef USB1, and Zack glint+ dupe. Realm ticket went to FFIX, got Zidane USB1 dupe.

So now I have Argent Odin magic magicite! Do I slot him in right away? The bracer looks awesome, but the lightning swordseems outclassed but the other artifacts by a few attack/magic points?

The Odin dagger was somewhat useful before hero equipment, but it's quickly becoming obsolete. It was mostly good if you were short on artifact stones, or didn't want to invest in a niche artifact for one character, that type of thing.

Bahamut is sooo annoying. I've been trying the III fight all day, finally had a good run going and got him down to 10%, but the phase 3 memory bite prevented me from refreshing last stand, and he killed my party one turn before OK probably could have finished him with his dyad. I don't really know how I could do this better without Aria's awakening or some other new relic.

I'm really not sure why, but Tidus was doing absolutely awful damage, to the point where I thought I had the wrong RM equipped.
Sure, Rikku had her Hero Artifact, but when friggin Rikku does more damage than Tidus, something's fishy.

Paine Sync as the lone cap break to get through phase 1, while everyone else just builds gauge.

Paine AASB, Yuna AASB1, Tidus AASB1 and Rikku AASB got me through phase 2 and around 5% HP left when the second chain ran out.
So I cast the final chain and finished him off.

Paine AASB for guaranteed w-cast HA and the overstrike chase on Tidus AASB made sure even 7 hits to break King's Rage wasn't a problem.

So even at level 50, he's good to use? I guess I'll have to bump Phoenix, and go Titan, Ramuh, Madeen, Madeen as the other 4. I guess double magic boon, and blade/spell ward for the two Madeens? I just notice the magicite stats take a noticeable dip, though hopefully that doesn't matter much.

Sounds good. I normally use the 6* magicite right when whoever I'm fighting jumps to savage 1, and also to give a couple early imperils. Should I wait a bit? Most 6*s jump to savage 1 after turn 1, though WOdin does it turn 2.

I summon Odin right after WOdin gets rage for the first time. Conveniently this will make it so the second summon is available right before Zan, so you can get another guaranteed rage break even through aegis.

For accessories: besides the obvious WAE, you definitely want to keep major resistance and some hp accessories. There are also some moderate resistance accessories that are useful if they have all of the elements used by the corresponding DB (since they get realm synergy); theres a list somewhere on Reddit I think. And then you might want some of the 30 ATK/MAG ones for fights like Gilgamesh that basically only use gravity based attacks. And yeah I dont think the status ones work for any fight where you might care about them working.

Hey WOdin, can you not jump to rage 3 after EVERY SINGLE ATTACK?! Good lord. Every time Red or Emperor's HA goes off and I'm like "yay, his rage is down to 2/1/0", he immediately jumps to 3.

Got him a second time, and improved my time almost 3 seconds (46.83 to 44.17). Though I don't remember seeing either Antiheal or Argent Storm Lance on my first run. And man did those suck. Antiheal for obvious reasons, and the lance murdered my party. Thankfully I had used Elarra's AASB right after Tellah and Mog got death'ed, so everyone had LS, and then I used her USB1 to bring everyone back up a little bit.

The first time, I dropped Tellah's second chain shortly before him and Mog died. This time, I waited (first chain ran out about 1.5 seconds before they died), then used it immediately upon them being brought back. Killed WOdin just as it was going to run out. Not sure which is better (in my first run, I dropped it a third time, I think right around when WOdin jumped to phase 2).

Yeah you might want to take things more slowly if you can't get him to phase 2 before he uses zantetsuken. At least he doesn't instant kill at level 3 anymore, that really sucked.

Congrats on beating FF10 Bahamut, that one was one of the worst I had to deal with. Maybe it's Lulu's fault though.

I get hit with one Zan each time, and I've managed to have him at 0 each time I get hit thankfully. Red having an ATB sync definitely helps with that. I just wish Emperor's HA was more than 3 hits lol

Yeah I don't think the 3 hit imperil HAs are that good (especially if you have another source of imperil, like Red's much better 5 hit HA). I'd honestly just use chain stoneja with Emperor until his HA2 comes out in your earth team.

Magic wind imperil is really rare though, unless you somehow got Serafae's stuff, a lot of people couldn't beat Magic Wind Weak Wodin because of that until Emperor got his HA.

Yeah, true. I guess I'm mentally comparing it to Cater's HA, but for her you also have the option to just use the 6* imperil abilities (which I think are better; only half the chance to imperil, but they last three times as long and do more damage anyway).

On another subject... no RW chain for Omega? Lame... might have to break out those fat chocobo chains for a few elements

Easiest is your fastest 5* magicite auto team

Fastest might be Dark Odin (he drops 10 instead of 3, though the difference isn't as stark if you're using some of the smaller arcana as well. Not that you should be using the smallest few since they're extremely gil-inefficient).

Yes, use your magic wodin for your phys teams until you get a phys odin.

I should maybe try earth phys myself, though my team is in the very awkward position of having 3(!) of my BDL stuck on my chainer...!

Got it!

Basically set my auto Lakshmi team on auto run (adding WOdin to my magicite deck turns that fight into around 13.5 seconds) while I was working. WOdin is now level 99. Still need to farm 3 more copies, then I'll try and get a physical one. I have Bartz earth sync/AASB1 and Noctis earth sync/AASB, Gladio chain (and AASB), then likely Tyro as support. Elarra healer I guess? Allegro doesn't work for physical teams I don't think, though I do have both of her USBs.

Edit: Also, wards the best to inherit?

Orran's hero ability is the closest to a physical allegro, Edward also has a general speed up hero ability but since he lacks a full break counter or aegis debuff, and can't heal/damage reduction barrier he's only really seen in stacked teams.

Auto running 6* magicite gives more arcana but it's a bit more tricky, I have an auto Ramuh team with Caith Sith, Orran, Red XII, OK and Emperor. I used overdrive for that though.

I have Orran's glint+ and his Sync, just not his AASB unfortunately.

And yeah, I basically set my phone down and let my auto team murder Lakshmi for a while, so that was nice lol. Regarding WOdin, what do people normally inherit on him? Blade/spell ward?

I have wards on my Odins, though there are definitely people who put something else there (doesn't matter much as long as it's something you would pretty much always want to bring with you since the passives are fungible with whatever you're taking on your Madeens)

So I just realized that after I slotted in WOdin after killing him the first time, I didn't have any blade or spell wards for the subsequent 4 kills. Whoops. Still had no issues with survivability, outside of that storm lance move, but now with my WOdin having blade/spell ward, we're back in business lol. Need two more kills, then will try physical weak.

I tried out wait mode for the first time on new speed 2. I was really annoyed to see it doesn't wait whenever you're ready to act, it only waits when there's nothing else ready to happen. So you can lose several ticks from other actions, chases, etc. And you can't wait and use an ability after the enemy acts if you want to do that. It did still have some advantages though. I'll probably try a few more times but I'm not sure I'm going to switch to it as my main mode.

I'm hoping this astra on the upgrading cardia RW chain will help cheese some annoying status mechanics! Presumably you can't really afford to time them for when the astra is most helpful so hopefully the timings will just work out.

I've really been procrastinating on my DBs so I think there are now several that I could probably take down. In addition to the 4 BDL mage team for X I also have 4+.5+.5 (and some good Sarah stuff!) for I and 4 for III, and then 3 BDL in a bunch of realms but I'll probably put off those still since I don't have enough tails to upgrade my crystals indiscriminately.

I haven't tested it yet, but I'm really hoping that astra can block the phase 2 sap in the Dragonking fights. I need to refresh chain there anyway and I've lost so many fights to that turn 5 stun and sap, turn 6 pops my last stand, and sap kills before I get to use an instant healing USB.

I believe astra does block sap (actually, that's the primary reason I'm worried about it maybe not being as useful as I'd like for countering some specific statuses; a lot of fights seem to have sap flying all over the place and that might eat astra before you need it for like a petrify or confuse or something).

Alright, 7th Odin farmed (best time so far too, 40.28). So now it's hopefully beating a physical version, then basically needing just a one time win on each one to inherit the seals? I think I got that right.

My physical earth team is quite powerful, but it lacks imperil. I have Dorgann's AASB which could help (and his Sync), only issue is he likely has to replace either Bartz or Noctis as DPS. Gladio is my chain holder (and has his AASB), while Tyro/Elarra are my support/healer combo for physical I believe.

Yeah, you can even use the wrong version to inherit the seal (so I have five seals on each of my Odins even though Ive only beaten 6/16 of them).

Anyway... astra timings worked out well for Sin!



Got him second try. I was worried for a moment since Mog didnt have enough gauge going into P3 to use his AA2, but thankfully delaying it a turn ended up not screwing anything up.
