It's good for fried chicken. I used to like Cholula. I was all like "omg it's the best flavor." Now I just like Frank's Red Hot. It's either that one or one like it.

I'm almost convinced a ghost or something possessed me in 2013 or earlier and started giving me all new opinions. Either that or brain damage.

It's just different. And I appreciate it for being different. The more hot sauces that taste different from one another the better!

But the best is generally homemade. It's super easy, you can make it to your own tastes, and you can make a SHITLOAD at once and it lasts forever.

My girl just reminded me of the time we met my brother at a hot sauce shop here. Like morons, my brother and I tried the super hot sauce on the tortilla chips they had for free. It felt like someone punched me in the stomach for 30 minutes. I was spitting and moaning like a wuss. "Ooooooh .. ooooh my stomach." Sweating and tearing up. I can't imagine how pitiful I looked. You know when you're in pain and someone is laughing at you so it makes you mad? Both girls and my brother was laughing. And all the sudden I had to go to the bathroom too. My God what a nightmare that was.

I remember how good that popcorn and coke tasted when we went on ahead to the movie. It Follows was the movie. That was right before summer I think in 2014 or 15. Time sure does fly. Someone needs to slow it down. That seems like it was just last year.

I use either Sriracha or Cholula! You can actually make your own hot sauce at home. It's not too hard to do.

I stopped buying pickles when I learned to make them myself and since I don't eat pickles on a regular basis, making them myself saves money on buying them in store.

I think I had Tobasco years ago. It was lame and bland. Don't know what Americans see in it. Our local hot sauce is really good. Expats that come back home often pack up bottles to take back to NA/UK.

I just looked that up the main heat base is habanero. Ours is scotch bonnet which is the main heat for a lot of things in the Caribbean whether its straight hot sauce or meats etc. There's not much deviation from scotch bonnet unless it's some touristy/restaurant thing deliberately doing foreign stuff like Mexican.

I'm convinced most people don't appreciate how hot hot peppers actually are. Most sauces or equivalent that say they use said peppers do not even have a fraction of heat that the actual pepper does. If you're actually eating the pepper straight, even a habanero is rather hot, let alone something in the range of a ghost to a reaper. Outside of people who have a mutation where they don't properly react to capsaicin, you'd have to be a masochist and/or stupid to actually eat a whole ghost/reaper (or equivalent) by itself.

Also, on the topic itself, while Tabasco is crap I'm not sure I'd say it's the worst. Honestly most commercial hot sauces are garbage and it's hard to differentiate between different forms of garbage.
