Yes No Do you think releasing this big budget film for free on HBO Max was a mistake? - Results (23 votes) Yes 34.78% (8 votes) 8 No 65.22% (15 votes) 15 Warner Brother's 200M Gamble on The Suicide Squad Reboot just released more depressing numbers as the movie is not only tracking on PAR that of Josh Trank's Fantastic Four 4 Reboot which made 56M Domestic in it's final tally and SS is at 49M after 3 weeks but the HBO Max numbers are in and only 4 Million people watched the movie for free after 10 days which is 1 Million LESS than the people who watched Mortal Kombat and the majority of those people who watched it were already subscribers!! 4 million household is nothing to scoff at but it is not necessarily good news when most of those people were not new subscribers which may have been disappointing for the studio who expected more of a bump with the simultaneous release and expected more Disney level viewers. Piracy is likely the other reason why the movie fumbled as many torrent sites has the movie in full 1080p release the day after. WB may want to rethink their stategy this year after making the big announcement to release their big films on screen and simultaneously with HBO Max with Dune still on the block.
