I've been having this weird problem lately where, sometimes, if I'm watching youtube on my second screen the game dips down to about 15 FPS. It's usually at 60. If I stop the video, the game jumps back up to 60 again. Any idea what that could be? I'd say it started within the last month or so..

Just did Haukke Manor

Is there a way to quickly return to the entrance of a dungeon because after we took the barrier down that seems to be what everyone else did while I had to walk back because I didn't know what they did.

Cast Return (this is the only dungeon where youll need to do this)

Another dungeon that Return is a timesaver is Matoya's Relict, specifically after beating the living magma non-boss.

Except there if somebody doesnt stay to watch the scene it doesnt trigger and you have to go back... (which I found out after copying everybody and using return and then having one of them yell at me because I guess that should have been obvious with no communication?)

That's happened to me a few times and we just laughed it off and ran back. You can time it so that you trigger the animation while Returning but it's also easy to mess up if you're early. It's not like, a designated roles "job" or anything so pretty dumb that someone would get upset at a specific person over it.

i'm actually glad to have confirmation on that because i always just assumed one person had to hang back, so i did if the others jumped the gun and went away the instant the enemy died

No one ever notices when you back off between gcds as melee dps when it targets you so the tank won't have to move :(

If it makes you feel any better I make sure to commend a dps if they're half-decent. (They use AOE attacks on trash and know how to do their rotation remotely accurately)

So just queue into all my duties!

Fire 2's absolute heat death was at level 72, when you gained Aspect Mastery. At that level, you either run cold or hot flares for aoe. Cold flares being Freeze/Flare/Flare, and Hot Flares being Freeze/Fire3/Flare/Flare. Although at 68 you could do a strange freeze/flare/freeze/flare bounce for aoe.

Yeah, I know, a week late, but there you go.

I got to level 60 as BLM and don't ever wanna be synced below that again.

B3 > B4> T3 > F3 > F4 x 3 > F1 > F4 x 3> B3

Am I supposed to use thundercloud procs immediately or not?

Thundercloud should be used in these circumstances:

a) The Thunder dot is about to fall off
b) The Thundercloud proc is about to fall off
c) You need to move and have no better options for casting while moving

Jeez, the outfit Tataru gives you at the end of 4.x is a far cry from the previous one she gives you.

I finally caught The Ruby Dragon to finish catching every big fish in the source. That took almost a year. Crazy.

Congrats!!!

I have five big fish left myself: Char, Warden, and Steth for the Source, Ealad and Lancet for the First. Haven't made any progress for over a month...
