Yes No Did you know that manure pits can be deadly? - Results (29 votes) Yes 86.21% (25 votes) 25 No 13.79% (4 votes) 4 3 Ohio Brothers, 31 y/o Father of 3, Todd and his 2 older brothers, 37 y/o Gary and 35 y/o Brad Wuebker were found dead after they were trapped in a MANURE PIT on their livestock farm!! Rescue crews found the men unconscious and unable to move before rushing them to hospital but died on the way. The brothers were fixing a manure pump before they passed out from the fumes according to St. Henry Fire chief, Matt Lefeld First responders from the rural town west of Columbus used ropes and ladders to pull the men out. Brad had called his godfather, David Wuebker to tell him Gary was in the pit and by the time Dave arrived, all 3 men were trapped after trying to save one another. Gary and Todd were the first to perish with Brad dying later that day. The autopsy report concluded they died of asphyxiation. Todd leaves behind 3 young children, Ava, Levi and Baby A Funeral for all 3 will be held on August 16 near Carthagena where the brothers grew up.
