Yeah it's still buggy in general lol.

I had to reload saves 3 times because Lift caused an enemy to fall off the side somewhere where he didn't die but I couldn't shoot him.

Good to see sending people into orbit via Lift and a sniper with Hammerhead rounds still works.

Beat ME1 (Engineer, Level 28, 32:45 playtime, Platinum, nearly 100%)

I was progressing at a leisurely pace and doing considerably more side content than needed for the Platinum (in fact, I got the trophy for completing a "majority of the game" between Noveria and Feros). I feel like the Plat can be comfortably obtained inside 25 hours, with a playthrough of only the main planets in 10-12. That's a bit faster than I remember back in the day, so I'm sure some of the Legendary Edition alterations made things more efficient and streamlined.

It's probably been a decade since I played the original, and I'm pleasantly surprised after going in with tempered expectations. My general feelings are about the same: this is a flawed game with a wonderful core, one that created a rich and engrossing universe. The main plot, visuals, music, lore, and Sci-Fi essence are the high points for me. The broken ass economy - one where I max out on money midway through the game and then have no idea what to do with my remaining gear as I repeatedly approach the item limit - was the low point this time around.

Also, it seems like I *don't* have the option to re-spec my Shepard in NG+. If I want to tackle Insanity, it'll be as a flippin Engineer. =(

Oh one last thing: I finished at Level 28, but the gap between 28 and 29 was enormous - the first huge level-up chasm of the game. Despite completing all but two side quests, I was so far from Level 29 that it seems impossible to hit the 30 cap in one playthrough.

Not entirely, there's an option to mark things as junk and then mass convert all junk to omnigel.

Although it bugs out and locks you in to the mod menu if you try to convert a bunch of ammo types at once.

I didn't use Omnigel once in the entire playthrough.

Seems they left in most of the beneficial bugs.

The Lorik Qui'in infinite Paragon/Renegade bug still works.

You can still use the Citadel rapid transit terminals as targets for most of the ability trophies, but they actually patched it so commanding your allies to use the powers counts. IIRC in the original only tech counted that way, not biotics for some reason.

Yea, getting all the tech/biotic usage trophies is really easy this time regardless of Shepard's own abilities, since you can just get your squadmates to spam whatever you need.

Had I known this, I would not have been an Engineer. Oh well, time for ME2/3 Vanguard fun runs!

I don't remember if this was a bug in the original but don't save directly in front of the Mira core on Noveria. Did so last night and now when I load that save I fall through the map and eventually die.

Fortunately I have a save from like ten minutes prior but still!

That fact that Jack still just starts warping around the room sometimes when you talk to her makes me think fixing old bugs wasn't a top priority.

lol, That reminds me that one time on Illos I got magnetized to a wall and had to wait 8 minutes for Shepard to slowly inch her way down the wall on a "track" until she hit the corner and I could escape.

Switch to classic and then back to legendary. I've heard that may fix that issue though I don't know if you get the points for the level.

I just scan every planet once and I have plenty of resources for the whole game.

Can confirm that punching space monkeys and space cows counts for the Bruiser trophy.

I've seen a few people thinking that trophy was bugged and not counting melee kills in ME1, but that might just be their allies kill stealing. They don't target the monkeys and cows so it's way easier that way.

The game crashed when I was about to beat the last boss on Insanity.

Twice in a row.

Fucking Bioware really wanting me to relive the old days.

Finishing up side missions before Virmire, landed on Nodacrux, went "Oh god no this is the one that's terrible to navigate" and yep.

Oh yeah, Liara's gotta be first. This time around, I began Bring Down the Sky immediately after recruiting my full team, but I didn't finish it until near the end because I wanted my reward to scale at the highest level.

Dead Ashley, mostly because her dialogue is bugged in ME3 and Kaidan is the better squadmate in combat in ME3
No romance but I did get the Liara scene then reloaded for the trophy

Bit of an odd thing happened while starting ME2 - I'm given the option to take Flashbang Grenade like I've finished Kasumi's loyalty mission. Not gonna complain about a bonus power from the jump though.

You get to to choose a power based on what you played in ME1. If you had played through multiple classes on one save you would get to select from multiple options.

I restarted and thank God all the achievements for ME1 popped.

so you can glitch the insanity mode trophies as long as you have at least one game with a save file finished on Insanity mode. I just finished the ME1 plat while playing on Insanity and then did the glitch to unlock the insanity trophies for ME2 and ME3 even though I haven't started those games yet XD

I wonder if they patch it.

The paramour trophies are also glitched, you can just reload the romance scene in ME1 three times to pop all three.

ME3 only takes a few minutes to already turn me off with how impossible it is to suspend my disbelief at reapers are here now, but you're still gonna go dick around like normal.

It really should have been the same deal as the IFF: endgame event, heavily urges to go to the final mission as soon as it happens.

As it is its not really possible to take ME3 seriously at all story wise.

Sure feels better to play though. More than I remember.
