I've really only put serious money in Albertsons and Five Below as far as brick and mortar stores go. I've found that they're better swing trades than they are long term investments. I tried going long term with both but the volatility makes them less attractive for that.

I havent followed but if Kohls has a good online business (like Target) then it's an OK brick-and-mortar stock. Of all the places I shop for kids clothes, it's had by far the longest lines in the store during the pandemic.

Kohl's is awesome for the simple fact that you can return Amazon products there without any packaging or hassle.

Anytime I go to Kohl's 90% of the people are returning Amazon orders and dipping. Who actually shops there?

Good green day start. Wish I held OSTK outright but KSS will be good too.

Meanwhile homie stock EVRI has propelled to god-tier elevations for a non-meme stock. Forgot to check in on it, went up 8% yesterday.

I fear I am going to be one day too late to get in on CAT after mentioning it the other day. Dang. But all my picks of KSS, OSTK, CAT, GS, and BRKB have / would have achieved my goals of slow but consistent gains.

Wish I didn't sell VIAC. It's doing well today. I sold because it fell after I bought it and I wanted to get a small profit at least and was fearful of it going back down, but it's doing better.

I feel like my fear of losing money is making me miss out on a lot of returns while keeping losers.

Except the NASDAQ. Glad I sold off QQQ and most of QQQJ at this point. I might just eat the losses on some individual stocks that are likely in those ETFs so I can at least put them into DIA and VOO/VTI.

Another weird day for crypto, but I bought the bottom like a champ and I'm poised to turn a profit with even the tiniest of runs.

I would have bought more crypto today, except that pretty much all my cash is already invested in stocks or crypto already. More than 90% in stocks.

Reminder that KSS destroyed earnings and went down 10% last week anyway. I bought in today at $54.55. I recommend it.

I think so many people are playing the "earnings" game that there is an artificial spike before the report and dip after.

KSS was around it's current price on May 11, and between that date and May 17th it climbed a lot. Earnings was on May 20th. So you have an unnatural surge of demand from people who just want to play earnings, and then immediately following the report you have an unnatural surge of supply from people who aren't all that interested in holding.

With a large company like Kohls this is probably more likely to happen because it has more institutional eyes on it heading into an ER. If you identify a dark horse that crushes earnings it could still see the kind of spike you would expect from good numbers, because it wont have that glut of (very) short term shares involved.

(I'm a stock dummy and this is not financial advice, this is just how it appears to me from my stock dummy perspective. I'm still just playing the small stakes crypto game until I have enough of a bankroll to dip my toes into options trading)

Probably accurate. But Kohls doing very well on its earnings is the main variable for its Buy recommendation, and the fact that it not only dipped after earnings but also by such a large amount make it a clear Buy in my judgment.

That's why I've been saying the real earnings play is to buy one month before earnings and sell the week of the report (but before the actual report)

CREX did a shelf offering at $1.90 (that is they have the ability to do one but don't necessarily have to) I guess people who shorted it are exiting their short positions below $1.90.

Part of me thinks they won't actually do the offering at $1.90 (their revenue should explode soon, they don't need an offering to sustain as they're generating profit, and the warrants becoming ITM would be way more effective than an offering) and this was some sort of 4d chess play on management's part but whatever.

But yeah still holding my $6000 worth of CREXW strong. No fear on this one. It's got positive EPS BEFORE the rumored 7-11 deal and BEFORE its clients are back on all cylinders. Easy $10+ stock here by 2023

I guess the one concern with CREX is that they need more infrastructure to execute the 7-11 deal effectively and so they'd use the offering to achieve that but eh

Yeah I dunno. Just gonna be patient on this one. I will probably sell some of my warrants to get my 6000 out when it pops but I may just hold the rest until they expire. Really could see this becoming a killer dividend stock at some point.

SPCE isn't up nearly as much as I expected after that launch. It's about where it was after the failed December launch and far below where it was after the failed February launch.

I almost want to close my GS and BRKB calls, sell both for a small loss, and put $250k into KSS. Thats how confident I am in it.

Oh yeah there's a huge short interest in SPCE. Looks like the shorts got mostly squeezed out in January/February but have poured back into the stock during the collapse since February.
