I'm treating Disney as a long term investment.

Doesn't mean that it's not currently losing me money. If I needed to liquidate a part or whole of my portfolio for some reason (such as if I decide to strike on buying a home) it would become an actualized loss.

This is what I'm moving towards. My "winnings" from those can be used to play with meme stocks. So far, I've made money on ETFs and lost it on even "safe" stocks like Disney.

But even then, I'm only depositing at most $1,000 per week because I'm worried about a crash so I'm dollar cost averaging.

Yeah. I think index funds can basically be a fake savings account.

As much faith as I have in Disney to get to like $250+ in the coming years though it's going to be a rocky ride

And to address this:

Lopen posted...

It depends on how much cash you have as well. I'm looking into commodities, real estate, and even collectibles because inflation is here and could get pretty bad. I consider savings accounts to be an investment as well (just a depreciating one), and that's where two thirds of my money is. Inflation eats that and if I expect inflation to go up, then that's a big problem. We're at a point where, to protect your earnings, you have to put risk into things.

I really wish I could invest in real estate for myself though. That's the safest investment.

I really believe ETFs/index funds are the best thing for most investors. I really wish I knew about them a few years ago. They're way better than stock picking if you don't have a lot of time or don't want to buy services to suggest individual stocks.

VET and VTHO have been bothering me for a week now.

I've averaged down 4 times on VTHO in particular and every time it "recovers" from the newest drop it gets just UNDER where my target to profit has moved. As a result it's tying up several times more of my resources than I had originally put in.

That said it's a fantastic time to buy either coin, i'm confident for a recovery in both.

Oof my position is down almost half from last Tuesday's high at .06. The long HODL sucks sometimes. Really hope Sharp drops filing news soon. At this rate, it will need that just to get back to where it was.

All these other tickers he's fighting for custodianship on definitely took away steam from GVSI, I think.

I definitely think so - you can actually get a better average than me now since I sold all my shares in the .01s! It's simply bleeding from lack of any updates, interest in other George Sharp plays, and shorting which happens like crazy from institutions in the OTC.

There are a ton of catalysts to come though, the next being updated filings to make it pink current (which will also allow it to be traded on way more platforms). And people have dug up that some filings have already begun, Sharp just hasn't announced it yet.

Still high conviction for me that it hits .10 at some point. And obviously the right merger can send it skyrocketing ten times over, but you can't really speculate on that until we know the company.

Once that is announced and I can research the company, that's when I choose whether to get out or not.

gvsi is still looking ok on the chart. Tommorrow might be a bit of a pivotal day, and some metrics like the macd suggest a bit of a stall period, but we really havent had one for a while. I will most likely be adding here and there, my average is still in the upper 1s tho so I really have a bit less fear than most. I've also already sold enough to cover my starting position + 25% so its a win kinda for me no matter what.

Its also why everyone was freaking out about RGBP and I was like "meh its going down", because my remaining shares were just that

The hearing on it is actually tomorrow. That's my guess for why GVSI had the biggest red day we've seen yet - people want to take their money to RETC before the hearing.

@Metal_DK How experienced are you with these custodianship plays? I sold some more GVSI I bought around these prices (don't worry I'm still a true long and will buy back lower, no way it isn't .10+ at the very least in time) since I expected a continued downtrend and wanted to have some fun in RETC on the big court hearing day. I'm of two minds in regards to the RETC case.

By all reasoning, Sharp should win this:

- Late/no filings for most of last year, delinquent status, revoked business license yet still operating with dilution all of last year. Nothing but shade in these parts.

- Brazen dilution all of last year and more insanely, even NOW right before their court date. They're clearly dumping shares every day into the bid like mad. Just the most shameless scammy stuff I've seen and the fact that they're doing it right before they have court is nuts to me. Maybe a sign that they don't think they can win?

But gotta be real here, my worries are:

- I'm simply too inexperienced with custodianships to have confidence in how courts rule on these things. In the interest of "fairness" it seems very plausible to me they won't award (or really re-award in this instance) custodianship to Sharp on the spot now that management has petitioned for it. Does the fact that the court already awarded Sharp custody make it likely they let him "keep" it? I can't say for sure. GVSI was open and shut because management didn't even show up. This is a different beast entirely and you can look at plenty other custodianship examples that got stuck for months in the courts.

- Check out their recent 8-K I found that just came out on the 14th: https://docoh.com/filing/1627611/0001493152-21-011341/RETC-8K

Their excuses are pretty hilarious (spoilers: Covid apparently makes it impossible to do paperwork) but they clearly have a case built here at the least. Seems like it could be a toss-up if courts are typically nice about these things? Honestly, they shouldn't be and Sharp should be awarded custody asap in interest to the shareholders, I'm just not sure that's how it works once old management decides to fight back. And, you know, court stuff is fucking slow. Any idea if courts are quick to revoke custodianship in instances this blatantly a scam?

I'm up a few grand alread and think I might just be safe and play the hype on this one. If I do want to hold any for a swing, I could just hold profits after making a sell and ride free shares that way. But unless this runs to like a penny right before close I won't have that big of profits. The main thing for me is that this is money that's going back into GVSI to hopefully get me a better average - I do NOT want to lose this money when GVSI is so high conviction for me (said it before but again, not high conviction that it's actually gonna be TSNP 2.0 - when we find out the company we can talk about that - but high conviction it will run to .10+).

I dunno, I'd say it's more likely than not George wins, but who knows if it will actually be announced tonight and I'm not sure it's worth risking my dry powder meant for GVSI. I probably should have just held 100% of my GVSI or at least tried to see if I couldn't sell that portion of my shares higher but I'm bored, what can I say :D

im not super well versed other than tsnp for a little bit last year. I mostly focus on things like

1) where the volume is. For example i do think a lot of otc plays were dropping due to money going into bit and dogecoin mania, they attract similar traders
2) Share structure of a company
3) RSI and Bollinger Band width, and a few other metrics

I will say RETC should be fine, im not 100% in on it tho. GVSI is I think the better call in the mid length of time (next few months or so).

Gotcha. Yeah that's generally the way to play pennies, good SS, good volume and quick swings. GVSI feels like the "safest" lotto play I've ever found though which is why I didn't mind holding 2 million shares and not sell8ng. Hoping for a drop back to mid or low .02s on no news in the coming days but also wouldn't surprise me if it runs back to .06 with a cult stock like this.

We'll see. Either way I'm in and enjoying the ride.

I think AT&T is still a decent stock if you're looking for a communications company. Most cellular subscribers apparently (kinda surprised, but apparently they overtook Verizon) and they're still major for the boring unseen infrastructure stuff. I still like the stock for that purpose.
