Well apparently that chart's also in a vacuum so in general combat scenarios there'll be a lot more divergence from reactions (And thus Ningguang wouldn't shine as much either since Geo has almost no real damage reactions), but yeah probably best to check in about a week or two later for more data to pop up
I've heard a lot about Ningguang apparently being a really good DPS though, but I can't really say until I actually get her lol (She did seem decent enough when I tried her Trial Run at least, though she does seem to rely a lot on her ult for her burst damage output)

Yeah they're all AoE hits which is great when clumping since the icicles automatically drop on each enemy in range

Kinda wish there were more ways of getting prototypes though, the weekly bosses can be stingy/random with proto drops (and you only get three tries a week total)

yeah, I'm vaguely thinking of Ganyu and Xiangling as my two main DPS but Ningguang might be a good backup

using Prototype Crescent a bit I do think it seems better, %-based boost to attack is too good. Maybe the tornado effect of VH will be useful in Abyss or something but that's for later.

After having rushed ar 40 I'm now realizing that there's not a ton to do, I finished weapon upgrades almost immediately, can't really farm artifacts yet and you're gated by weekly boss drops for any further talent upgrades, so I guess the main thing to do is just character ascensions and AR farming.

Initially I was thinking that AR farming was going to be mostly timegated with commissions/resin especially since I'm mostly done with character stories and one-time dungeon quests, but there is a fair amount to do to squeeze out more (farming Amenoculus/Geoculus/Crimson Agate, the Adventurer Handbook achievements, Shrines of Depths) so I guess that'll be my main thing for awhile.

My walls in Princonne are 7-8 normal, 5-3 hard, and 3300 in arena. For characters I'm lv 63 with 3* Makoto rank 6, Kokkoro and Pecorine are at 2* rank 6, Karyl 1* rank 6, Yui and Yukari 2* rank 5, and also have Kurumi, Lima, Misaki, Aoi, Rei, and Mimi. For dungeon I have to borrow a tank since Peco gets butchered super fast and I have to have both Yui and Yukari in at all times because neither can come close to keeping up with the area skill spam the enemies use on their own. When I finished the Hard dungeon I was in the low 50s with Yukari at 1 star and everyone at rank 4. ~10 levels later and 1-2 ranks of equipment better and getting to the sixth fight is a struggle. At one point I tried going back to the normal dungeon because I figured a guaranteed 400 coins was better than hoping to get 400 in hard, but I can't reach the end of it anymore either. I could handle no progress, but negative progress is killing it for me.

When you rank up a character, their base stats go up, but the equipment from the previous rank is consumed and you don't have the bonuses from them anymore. Being a certain rank but with full or almost full equipment is statistically better than being one rank higher but with no equipment whatsoever (especially if you refine the equipment) so ranking up but not immediately grinding the equipment for the next rank can lead to "negative" progress in a sense. So before trying to progress any further, I would recommend grinding the materials to get as much of the rank 6 equipment for your team as you possibly can at your point in the game. Leave them at rank 6 and as much equipment as you can, progress as far as you can with that, then once you hit another wall, rank them up to 7 and grind the equipment for that rank. If you find that you're very close to beating a stage with your current equipment, try refining some of the better pieces to increase their bonuses.

There should never, ever, ever, ever be a situation in this game where your team is fully equipped and refined but you still can't progress. If you don't believe me, here's a video of someone beating 8-15 (the last story mission available in the soft launch) with only the starter characters and the free Yukari from dungeon coins, and most of them are still at 1-star too!

Sorry, I should have indicated that they all have full equipment for their ranks. Thats why I have two rank 5s, cause the rank 6 main weapons take so many shards that I get all of them before ranking up the next character. So 4 fully equipped rank 6 characters and 2 fully equipped rank 5 characters cant get as far in dungeons for me as 6 fully equipped rank 4 characters could (which is what I mean by negative progress).

Yeah after a certain point there starts to be a dearth of content outside of just dailies/farming lol
I guess the current 'totally-not-Contingency-Contract' event is meant to encourage that sort of grinding but most of the prizes are meh anyway aside from the one-time primogem prize
That being said the Level 90 domains do give guaranteed single 5* artifact drops so there's a bit of incentive to ascend to 90 I guess

Equipment rank up isnt even the most backwards part of Priconnes system.

Star rank-up can be a net loss for some characters because it affects their TP cost and can ruin their performance. IIRC, its something like more stars = higher stats = less damage taken = less TP gained.

Usually this applies to support characters, especially in PVP, who need to get their UBs out ASAP before dying.

It wasnt until about a half year ago that you could downgrade a characters star level to somewhat rectify the issue, but this instead means that you MUST have them at 5* or keep them at 3*. 4* will have them stuck until you can get them at 5*.

And then the system flat out doesnt work for 6*, because 6* itself is a different upgrade entirely.

Okay that's really bizarre. I'm quite a bit farther than you in the normal story chapters (I managed to beat 8-12 Normal and 6-1 Hard today) but I've still never been able to clear the hard dungeon a single time despite now being level 65. I couldn't clear it two days ago with my entire team at rank 6 and fully equipped, and I couldn't clear it today with all of them at rank 7 and partially equipped either.

How the fuck did you manage to clear the hard dungeon in the low 50's with rank 4's? That's just baffling to me. Maybe you got really lucky that run.

Ive stopped giving a shit about dungeon since Very Hard likes to throw a lot of bullshit teams at you.

Everyone and their mom uses some combination of PriPeco, PriYui, and/or Christina, and facing multiple teams of them in a row is basically just guaranteed to wipe you at some point.

You should consider yourselves lucky that you dont have to deal with those kinds of teams yet.

Oh I may have misjudged the math on the guardian base.

High investment rares are better than low investment uniques.

I swapped out my Oghma (3*, no ex) for Craig (5*, ex) and he was worth almost 200 more points. Uniques don't overtake rares unless they're 4* or the rare is just low level.

Yes, same game.

Djeeta is an actual character in the Priconne universe, despite obviously still being the GBF MC. By which I mean, she goes to the same school as Yuuki.

Same with Luna and Arisa from Shadowverse.

Monika is not only a rehash of her Rage of Bahamut/GBF counterpart, but her own character with her own guild here (the other collab chars don't have guilds). She still wants to be an admiral or captain of her own airship or whatever though.

Any other collab characters (Manaria Friends, ReZero, and iDOLM@STER) were simply isekai'd to Priconne's universe.

The majority of those characters are only out in JP and not in the global game at launch. Djeeta is the only collab character that's in the game at launch, and don't re-roll for her now because apparently the first rate-up banner (whenever that is) is going to be her.

Rei is a 1*, super easy to get.

You'll be waiting two years for Xmas Christina and three years for Halloween Rei though.

Christina isn't in at launch (she's a limited character and a few months away) but Rei is.

Rei is a natural 1-star, so she's very common and you'll most likely pull her easily. Plus, her memory shards are farmable from one of the earliest hard mode stages (Hard 2-1) so you can start working on ascending her to a higher rarity very early on. From what I've heard, she's not very good right now, but she'll be great once she gets her unique equipment added to the game and excellent once she eventually received a 6-star uncap.

So I tried my hand at this newfangled Priconne thing and in about 41 rolls? I ended up with 4 3*s. Sounds right, since I had nothing in 1 and 2 in another, rest 1 per. Thinking about it... is 41 right? Might be 31. The first roll I got a 3*, not sure if they just guarantee a 3* for that roll. Oh yeah it was 31 rolls lol

Got Akino, Anna, Hatsune, and Nozomi. Don't really care about tiers or whatever, not gonna play this long enough for it to matter. So far the combat seems fairly barebones, but I can see where strat might come into play. Just glad they're a healthy mix of front/mid/back units, dunno if that matters

Nozomi is pretty good. She's not the #1 re-roll target (that would be Makoto) but she's a very good tank and will make a new player's life a lot easier.

Either that or post your user ID in this topic, but I can't send you an invite until you've cleared a certain story mission (3-1 Normal, I think) and unlocked the clans feature though.

Just downloaded and played a bit. I was hesitant at first but it seems like I'll be giving this game a good go, F2P style. Got Nozomi, Tamaki, Chika, Shiori, and Suzanne. Also Mitsuki but I'm not using her at the moment. I'll look into joining later.

Also I saw a motherfucking hacker on GT arena. He's like... very very slightly hacking, not to the point where it's blatant but enough so a long time player like me will notice. We weren't lagging cuz I looked at the ping

His Nari and FP... were outspeeding my Eugene with speed buffs... His lvl 69 Nari was also blatantly outdamaging lvl 74 Naris that I've encountered before. He actually couldn't fully beat me because I'm like not that high of a rank despite my team cuz I don't do Arena much, but ultimately I lost because he just ran from my Eugene til the timer ran out. This game has no real report function, had to go through a usual player ticket process that I can't even really tell will help them find this guy

Decided to do a multi in Priconne and got super lucky. Pulled Io, Shizuru, and Yukari which doubled my amount of natty 3* units. Completing stages is already a ton easier now.

Nice. We were talking about Io earlier as a good unit to pull early (since memory shards for her and Makoto are only farmable in Clan Battle but they're both two of the best characters for doing well in that mode) and Yukari is one of the best support characters that's easy to farm and ascend. Io is pretty nice. Her aoe skill that confuses enemies has been proving useful. I kind of regret not buying Yukaris shards from the Arena shop now. She's been great so far even just at 1*.

Dungeon shop, not Arena shop. But yeah, getting Yukari to 2 stars should be priority number one for using your dungeon coins. From there, you should grind out enough to unlock Nozomi, then after that (or if you already pulled Nozomi on your own) either go for Maho or work on ascending Yukari and Nozomi higher.

The premium only newbie gacha has shown up in Priconne. Personally that kind of thing always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Trying to get people to spend money on a limited time thing when they are just starting out feels scummy, but a lot of games do it.

I agree with you that the optics behind such a pack being there at launch don't look very good. But to be fair, a 10-pull with a guaranteed max rarity card for only $12 (buy the once-per-day 500 jewels for $4 pack three times) is an excellent deal. If I weren't completely unable to buy jewels right now because my game crashes whenever I try to select anything in the jewel shop, I'd probably spend that $12 and get it.
