I would totally be down for that Joe Rogan debate. Dude wouldn't moderate so much as just let them both speak as long as they wanted. Trump would still look like a petulant child, and an even more clueless one at that.

I would view it a tie also just because I didn't think either had any huge hits and neither answered the questions I wanted answered.

Trump and Biden were so close to having hard hits and just couldn't quite get there.

I actually watched this because my housemates asked me to.

I wanted to feel just a little bit better about Joe Biden. That's seriously all I wanted. I knew Trump would look like shit and say some awful things and he performed as I expected.

Most of the time it was just Joe Biden doing more of the "I'm not Trump" bullshit. He said nothing about how to help minorities. His idea for the police was "Just have the police be a part of the community like the old days where everyone knew the cop personally!" Fucking delusional.

He just looked like an impotent old man who had no control the whole time. Bernie or anybody else would have been able to deal with the Trump interruptions with more candor or grace. Yeah, it's annoying, but they would have been able to do something.

I don't know if Biden just isn't equipped to handle the debates or his team just did a horrible job preparing, but holy shit. He was awful.

I don't even need to discuss Trump because everything was already said many times over. He needs to go.

Mute their fucking mics when it isn't their turn. The fact that they didn't say "We're going to take a five minute recess" and then tell them how it's going to go down to get order is ridiculous.

I'm definitely not a conservative but I feel like Trump "won" it, if there is such a thing. He made politics seem incredibly shit all around, like both sides were dreadful, and didn't let Biden make any good points. The way Trump wins is through apathy because he would have been thrashed last time if young people had voted in the same numbers as older people or even as much as they have in past elections. Even more so with Covid going on, Trump discouraging mail-ins and people not wanting to be going out to vote.

Strategically it makes sense

Biden wants the race to be Trump vs an alternative, because Trump is so underwater politically.

Trump wants the race to be Trump vs Biden on merit, because thats actually easier for Trump to win.
