I actually had one of my friends' dads cite Adams ridiculous argument that Trump didn't say that nazis were very fine people recently in response to me saying that every single person at Unite the Right was a white supremacist, totally fine with being allied with white supremacists, or deaf and blind (and then go on a rant about BLM supporting riots or whatever). It took all of my willpower not to point out that he was giving white supremacists more benefit of the doubt that BLM and that he might want to think about what that said about him

I assume Biden is smart enough to not actually address an inanimate object. Besides, leaving time for Trump responses makes Trump look bad, makes the "debate" feel less like it's just an anti-Trump ad, and gives Biden fewer chances to accidentally say something stupid.

But ads in newspapers, editorials, message board posts, private letters..... I don't know how one would even begin to search.

Like, if I went through the CSAD archive, I could probably find every pro-Crono post I made in 2006 in the stats topic. There's probably hundreds of them. But there could definitely be pro-Crono posts I made outside the stats topic that aren't in its archive, and which I don't remember. In fact, the likelihood that such posts exist and I don't remember them is quite high.

It seems kind of weird that, potentially, the bulk of their sentences may come not from conspiring to intimidate potential voters, but from utilizing computers in the process. I guess that's where your defense attorney pleads for leniency.

If this were a federal crime, they could also have their defense attorney repeatedly update the President on the status of the case, which definitely certainly positively isn't an indication that there could potentially be some pressure from the highest levels on the "Justice Department". I wonder if there's a way Barr could declare that this is a federal crime so that he can decide there's not enough evidence to prosecute?

I thought she was pretty open about that, in her capacity as a private individual. But she literally cannot express that in her capacity as a judge, because she has, up to now, never been a Supreme Court justice, and that is the only court in the land that is not bound by previous Supreme Court decisions.
